1 starI am extremely frustrated by the poor service and mismanagement I’ve encountered with CPI Security. Despite having already paid for the service, I’ve been struggling for over two weeks to get the work completed at my home. I initially spoke with Keisha and another representative (whose name I can’t recall) to schedule the service, but things quickly went downhill from there. Leonte, the service technician refused to complete the job, claiming that it was the installer’s responsibility and he advised me to contact Customer Care and file a complaint. After speaking with Jeremy, a service manager at CFL, he assured me someone would be scheduled soon but never followed up. I then spoke with Susan, who managed to schedule a service for the next morning and assured me there would be no issues, only to be told by Susan next day that the Operations team required a prepayment before coming. This was despite the fact that I had already paid, as confirmed in their records. I had already taken time off from work for this service, and now I’ve had to take additional time off, only to encounter further issues. Susan directed me to her supervisor, who never called back. I had to follow up again and spoke with Sean Minniasi, who was incredibly arrogant and unhelpful. He demanded proof of payment, which I provided, only to be told he couldn’t schedule anything for the next two months. When I asked to escalate the issue, he claimed there was no higher authority. I also asked about ending the contract, and he stated I would have to pay for the entire remaining balance for the next 12 months. My house renovation is now stalled due to the delay in moving the security panel, and I’m left completely frustrated with no clear solution in sight. CPI Security is clearly mismanaged and shows no care for their loyal customers. I expect them to not only complete the job, but also to provide fair compensation for the lost days of work I’ve had to take due to their incompetence.Review fromMelissa M

1 star*** is *********. My service with them interferes with my internet and tries to take over my wireless service. They **** and I am ending services. Been on the phone now for an hour with no response. Your music should put be to sleep but only ****** me off more!Review fromArrikka M

We referred a relative to CPI and our relative informed CPI Security. Neither of us have been compensated for the referral because one representative says we were to complete the referral online and another representative says we were supposed to call customer service!!! I will NOT refer anyone else! I'm extremely unhappy about this!!!**Installation Issue**During the Installation the Tech broke our garage light. *** agreed to replace it but we had to chase them down.**Service**The cameras aren't recording everything. You'll have a recording of someone coming to your home but never see a recording of them leaving.CPI Security Systems

Thank you for your feedback. It is very important to us. I have reviewed your account. The referral has to be put in by the existing customer through the *** website or app prior to the new customer contacting us. The reasonthat the credit wasnt appled is because the correct process was not followed. We didn't receive the referral until 5 months after the new customer was referred. We did mail the customer a check for the garage light. It is a process and paperwork that has to be completed for damages. However, we do apologize about the delay that you experienced when getting assistance for the garage light. We are moving to a state that dosen't have CPI. We were told we had a 60 month contract it was supposed to be 30 month now we are told we have to pay the remaining 28 month which is over $2000 I don't think it's fair we are senior citizens in am thinking about getting a lawyerCPI Security Systems

Good Morning,Thank you for your feedback. It is very important to us. I have thoroughly reviewed your account history. In May 2022, you executed a 60- month agreement for monitoring services with CPI. In addition to the 60-month agreement, you opted to take advantage of our Smart Pay program where you would not have to pay for the equipment upfront but pay it off over 60 months. These two agreements are coterminous. The contractual agreement states that if the agreement is at default for any reason, an early termination fee will apply. If the new homeowners took over the remaining time of your monitoring agreement, you would only be responsible for the remaining equipment charge. This company is horrible there contracts are horrible and even after filling a bankruptcy and adding them they still sent me to collections so my lawyer will be resolving that. You call you get the runaround, people say they will call you back and they dont. Its just terrible if someone moves out of a State you dont service why on earth would you continue to charge them or make them still pay on a contract. I would understand a disconnect fee but get real. You should be ******* as a company. I will never refer anyone to this company bad business.CPI Security Systems

*** sucks! There equipment doesnt work correctly. The technicians dont know what they are doing. The customer support are useless. If there is a problem they tell you how you can fix it. You pay a hundred dollars a month for NOTHING. And you house still gets vandalized. NOT WORTH IT!. And you are stuck paying for it until your contract is up.CPI Security Systems

Yes they but the technician didnt fix the problem and now with the CPI SECURITY song in my yard the vandals came back and vandalized my yard , right behind the *** sign. And a technician was supposed to show up Saturday January 4th but he was a **** and then a technician was supposed to come on Friday January 10th and he was a **** AGAIN. So calling *** and getting a technician out to my house to solve the problems seem to be a BIT OF A PROBLEM FOR ***. So again CPI SECURITY *****.Review fromLinda B

Can not agree with other reviewers more. I cancelled my service in November after having the house fill with smoke and the *** monitor did not pick it up and of coarse no fire truck was dispatched! The monitor was in the wrong location for my home design. Luckily the builders smok alarm did work. Now that is scary. Had to send them a written document to cancel services . My phone call was not enough. I did not have a contract (month to month service). They almost immediately disabled my ability to manage my security from my phone and disabled my online account link so that I was unable to see bills or other information. They did not however forget to bill me again a month later (12/20) for service from Dec 1-31. Told me I should have notified them at least 5 days before the bank draft date. I think notification in November should have worked for a 12/20 draft! The "custome service" representative told me not to bother escalating my issue to a supervisor as they would only tell me the same 5 day rule and she would be happy to send me a copy of the "fine print" contract I had signed.CPI Security Systems

CPI security has the absolute positively worst customer service ever. I would never use them if I was new to the ********* area. Go find somebody else because they are the absolute worst. I dont have enough space to explain to you why Im giving such a bad review. I could go on and on and on for days. Dont do it. I had a $100 referral fee owed to me and they refused to pay it. I spent over $2500 with them because I did not sign a contract and I paid for all of my equipment upfront. I had $145 bill and they told me not to pay it until January, and they keep calling wanting their money but they were supposed to give me the $100 referral. They are just a terrible company with people who have no idea what theyre doing.CPI Security Systems

Had the worst experience with CPI Security. So much i could say but, I would like to keep this brief. ******* to go with this company because it was installed on my home prior to me purchasing it. To make a long story short, they sold me a bunch of products I didn't need, but could not deliver the product I initially called about in a timely fashion. Took them 2 weeks to have "most" of my products installed. I canceled due to that, and the *** they sent to uninstall was extremely rude and unprofessional. The customer service or leadership has not been much help. He left wires exposed on my front door panel after un-installing their doorbell camera. I asked him to wait while I contacted management and he left anyways. Terrible customer service, do not recommend doing business with a security company who can't get anything done in a timely fashion.CPI Security Systems
