I signed up for car washes at $19.99 a month . I was flat out lied to. I am retired and certainly would never pay ***** a month.I was told by employee it was a special time to get this great deal at $19.99 a month usually higher. I was also told that it would be higher for just a couple months time. Due to billing time line adjustment. At the time I received my 3rd auto withdrawal I got suspicious and spent a lot of time chasing around for phone numbers(None) sent emails first to ****** driven 079 only returned undeliverable. Finally going to the website. I am 75 years old and this stuff is not easy. Went to site of carwash, ********************** to get contact phone # they gave me one. It was useless no ability to even leave a message. Finally got on the website and downloaded an ap . When I finally got answers everyone was very apologetic but everyone could not refund any type of $$ . The billing rep, the manager at take 5 @******************************************************************* could not do anything. He would trace down the employee, if he still worked there. the one bone thrown to me when the contract canceled. For one free car wash in the next 2 weeks of time. It is incredulous to me that no one has the integrity or ability to go up the chain to someone else. I am filing this because the big corporation has so many bragged about abilities, qualifications, and adorned themselves with so many great attributes of their grand business. I am rejecting this response because:
It was told to me I signed up for the least expensive plan as I explained in my initial letter of complaint I would be satisfied with that difference , between the lowest price wash for those three months .I no way would agree to pay $28.00 a month for a car wash, to begin with. And it was not indicated by him that it was only one months time at a low price. That is not what your company employee promised. I spent $119.97 for car wash for 3 months time.
for that matter you are very overpriced , I had a years worth of car washes for $220.00 in Bowling green. That is $18.33 a month. The reason I left was the distance and my daughter lives in ******** I thought I would try it. At any rate I was misled and told the wrong price. See why I did not contact you sooner in my first statement of grievance I made.Business Response

My vehicle was damaged via a fishing pole being stuck in a set of the side brushes at the take 5 car wash in *************, **** on August 13 of 2023. Car wash employee let a truck go through ahead of me without properly checking the bed, and allowed the fishing pole to be pulled into car wash equipment, damaging my car next. Employees took pictures the day of the incident and admitted to what caused the damages. Car wash manager was very helpful from the beginning and has continued to help during this journey. As of January 3, 2024 I still have not had the vehicle damage repaired. I presented the car business with a damage estimate within 2 days of the incident and was told they would take care of it right away. The claim has been sent to the corporation on multiple occasions via the manager, but I have not heard a single thing about getting this taken care of. I have called and left multiple messages for customer service/damage claim specialist at the corporate with no call back. I have chatted online with take 5 customer service and they told me it was to be handled by the car wash location themselves. After waiting 4 months to hear something, my patience is running thin. Please contact me so we can finally get this saga put behind us and get our vehicle fixed as promised.Business Response

I keep trying to cancel my membership with this car wash and I can't. No one said they can do it at the actual brick and mortar store and the online customer service will not get back to me. Online it says I need to give them 7 days advance notice before the next billing cycle to cancel. That is tomorrow and I have been trying to cancel for over a week and nothing. They have no customer service phone number. Ive sent emails everything. Don't know what else to do.Business Response

We never received a wash pass. Weve never used the wash since we were first motioned into the new carwash last April to try it for 99 cents. We were charged .99 cents to try the wash, and weve never been back. We did not buy a pass, were not given a pass and have no pass on the car. However, we've been charged ***** everymonth since. Today I went to the car wash on ***************** in ********, **** and I went through the first time the car was still dirty so I told them that my car was still dirty so I went through again and when I got home, I realized that my back windshield wiper was broke. I went back up there and they told me they cant do nothing about that. I dont feel thats fair cause my car. My windshield wiper wasnt broke before I went through the car wash so if somebody can get back to me, let me know what to do. My phone number is ***********. Customer and General Manager Spoke on 1/7/24. Customer is going to get part missing and bring receipt. We told her we would do what it takes to make it right on this incident.
The Manager also pointed out to the customer that there is a sign at ************ to our tunnel that clearly states we are not responsible for windshield wipers. Due to the relatively low price and with **************** in Mind We will make an exception

On October 22 ********************************************************************* the lane. After numerous attempts to reach the facility during business hours without success, I was finally able to speak with a manager about the issue on October 31. The manager, ****, took a couple photos and inspected the damage, as well as spoke with the staff member on site. I filed a claim and he said he would submit the claim to ************** that day, along with video footage of the incident. After several weeks, I had not heard back so followed up repeatedly. When I finally reached ****, he had lost the form and requested I drop off my copy again. I did so, however once again never heard back from anyone. Two months later, I received a letter from ************** saying they saw no evidence of damage consistent with their facility. When asked what they had reviewed, they ultimately admitted that they had reviewed nothing, but that the general manager, ****, had finally submitted the claim to them on Dec 14 with no footage or further details. He simply declined the liability, without speaking with me, reviewing the footage, or speaking to the now terminated manager, ****. FR explained they deny all claims their client wishes to decline, regardless of the evidence found. I am simply demanding my car be repaired from the damage caused while backing up and the direction of your staff, in your facility. I will pursue any and all means to stop this practice and pattern of automatic denials of damage claims. I have copies of all attempted calls, the original claim filed, damage photos, and a sworn statement.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: ************** denied it because your company destroyed/lost the video of the incident, never spoke to those on site (including me), lost the filed claim at least twice, failed to submit for over 6 weeks, lost the manager who took the report to another company, never took any reasonable steps to investigate your liability in good faith. I was a member at the Take5 Car Wash in *******, **. Although I enjoyed going, I cancelled my membership due to their lack of customer service of the following incident: On December 2, the dryer ripped the moulding off my drivers side of my windshield. The molding and clips are broken and require repair at the dealer. I have photos and video. I spoke with the attendant who retrieved the broken piece from the wash and told me to email customer service to request a claim. I emailed customer service twice with no reply. You were also informed on December 4 to return to the car wash and file an Incident Report. That does not go through *************, but the Site Manager needs to file it. Our Claims managers have not received that Incident Report.

I purchased a car wash package online as a Christmas gift for my friend. Though the transaction on the web page generated an order number and my credit card was charged the full amount, I nor my friend never received either a confirmation email or the service I was charged for. We both have been diligent in monitoring our inboxes and junk/spam boxes but over a week and a half later we still have not received any response. I have tried contacting the merchant by emailing customer service, calling the merchant, using their online form and even texting them. I received only one response from their customer service representative, ********, who requested the first five digits of my credit card number along with the last 4 digits to which I replied with the requested information. I then received no further response from him or any other representative. I tried reaching out using the same number he contacted me from but despite multiple messages I still have not received any response or received the wash package I ordered. I informed them that I would take action to reverse the charges and write to the BBB if I still had not received any response or package by the end of the week and so Im writing this message to file a formal complaint against Take5 Carwash.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because I attempted to reach the customer care department multiple times prior to filling a complaint with the BBB and even typed up an email that was sent to the customer care department days prior to submitting the complaint. I outlined in my email that if I did not receive either the certificate or a response by the end of the week that I would contact the BBB and my credit card company to take action. This is an underwhelming response to a major breakdown in customer service and as such I am not satisfied with receiving the same paid service that took weeks of me writing emails, making calls and texting customer service and finally writing to the BBB to get any response. I would like the package of 5 washes to be upgraded to the next tier of services above the pro level or a full refund of my payment as an acceptable resolution from take 5.Business Response

Response to complaint ******** rejection.
**************** first contacted us on December 19. One of Agents responded on December 21. December 21st he threatened "further action" by reporting to the BBB and seeking his bank to reverse the charge unless we respond by the next day December 22nd. On December 26th the Senior Manager of **************** issued him a new coupon for his washes. So he has his wases and was supposedly refunded by his bank. This is the Holiday Season and we were on Holiday hours and had multiple agents on leave. We feel he is being un-reasonable and has received his purchase. We apologize for the issue but we feel we owe no further compensation. Thank you.

I purchased a monthly membership for ***** in February of 2023. I had set up recurring credit card payment. I cancelled in or around April 2023. This was done thru the take 5 app. I used a card with a low limit. I received an email from my credit card company this month that I was past due. Upon looking at the transaction history, take 5 car wash resumed automatic payments in July 2023. I was charged ***** each month from July to November. On 12/18 I emailed take 5, because they do not have a phone number for customer service demanding a refund. I received an automatic reply saying someone will contact me via email. To date I have not received this response. I tried to log into my account via the app by requesting a password reset. Also on 12/18 I got a message that I should receive a email to change my password. Still have not received that email.Business Response
