I bought a vacuum online. It did not perform as advertised. I called Hoover and filed for a return. On 12/9 I an email, received a return authorization code ******** was told to expect a prepaid return label from ****** I did not receive one and called e-mailed again, did not receive ***** return label, I email and called repeatedly and have not received the return label.Business Response

Hello! I have communicated two times with Hoover. The first time they told me that the warranty expired till next year. A new battery was honored under the warranty. The vacuum continued not to work so I requested a replacement under the warranty. They denied the replacement. Hoover should honored what they stated about the warranty being expired till next year. They made me send a video for them to deny it. Also, they dont answer in the department for Spanish speaking. I want Hoover to honor what they stated two times about the warranty. That I still had time for them to replace the vacuum.Business Response

Bought new Hoover vacuum 10 months ago. Only used 20 -25 times ***** belts. Replaced 4 belts in this short time. The motors very small metal post heats up belts from friction & causes belt to heat up, get soft & loose tention causing vacuum brush stops working. On 12/9/23 I placed an order for a product, ONEPWR Dust Chaser Cordless Handheld Vacuum Kit, on the official Hoover website totaling $97.16. I chose to pay for this product in installments through Klarna; the first payment on 12/9/23 totaled $24.29. The order number given was ******. On 12/10/23 I received an email stating the order was shipped via ***** with the tracking number ************. I received the product on 12/12/23. When I received the product I noticed there was an issue with the battery charger or the battery itself. On 12/14/23 I spoke with a Hoover agent via chat to resolve the issue with the battery. To resolve the issue a replacement part was ordered, I wasn't told if the replacement part would be the charger or the battery, but I was told to allow **** business days for delivery and the order number given was CTC1D106556977. I was also given a confirmation number from Oracle, ********. I'm assuming Oracle is the company the agent works for. I asked if I would receive all the information given, order number and confirmation number, through email and the agent stated I would. However, I never received any email. So, the issue is I have no way of tracking the replacement "part", I do not have anything showing the replacement was ordered, and I am unable to reach customer service via chat or phone. On 12/14/23, the same day I chatted with an agent, I also called customer support and waited for 1 hour and 12 minutes until I finally ended the call myself. I called again on 12/19/23 and waited for 26 minutes, and still, no one answered the phone. I also tried to speak with an agent via chat but received a message stating they didn't have an agent available even though I reached during the specified timeframe.Business Response

I ordered a vacuum 11/10 and received it 11/15; however, I didnt use it until 12/8. When I used it for the 1st time it was smoking. I tried calling but didnt get through to a live representative. A few days later on the 15th I submitted a return request. The request was denied on 12/18 because it was outside the 30 day return window; however, I submitted my request on 12/15 25 days after I received the vacuum.Business Response

I bought an item from the company under their Hoover brand, and the item was the wrong part for what I needed. I was told by customer service via a call that after I returned the item I would receive a refund. I paid for return shipping and returned the item in the original package in the same condition within a week of receiving it and speaking with customer service before returning the item by mail. I received confirmation through tracking and the companys customer service line that the item was received and my money would be returned to me. Customer service told me it may take weeks to get my money back, and it had now been over 2 months since my initial engagement with the company to purchase the item. Now, no one has answered my recent email or phone calls, and the customer service line has no callback option.I want Hoover company to return my $45.83. This is absolutely ridiculous and very poor customer service. It should not take this long to reissue someones money.Business Response

I can't vacuum with the vacuum the windtunnel brush isn't working. I have had numerous conversations from the customer service and none of them have helped me. The last conversation was that I ship the vacuum back to him and he will try to repair it. I am responsible for paying to ship. They gave me a repair shop which would accept my warranty and there is no such place. I am a disabled senior and need to vacuum.Business Response

We purchased the Hoover PowerDash Hard Floor cleaner. It arrived defective. Does not work., a hose inside has a crack as far as we can tell. I have tried to call, the customer service hold is never answered nor do you get a callback when offered, the live text chat agent never answers, and they offer no email. To Whom It May ********** mother ************************* bought a Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner on 1/05/23 at ****** in ********* **. After she purchased it, I promptly registered it online with its 2-year warranty. After less than a year of use, the handle broke off and she threw the thing away. She also reported it was always hard to push. After I contacted Dirt Devil and the ****** several times, neither has offered to refund the money or provide a model that works reasonably. There has been multiple emails between ******************************* and Dirt Devil. Originally, she wanted a refund so she was referred back to the seller since we cannot refund an item that was not purchased directly from Dirt Devil. The customer emailed to let us know she had no luck with the seller and was interested in doing the warranty claim to get a replacement. The cut cord/label instructions for warranty were emailed to her but she notified us that the unit had been left at the dumpster by her elderly mother. ******************************* was notified that since we could not get the cord/label pictures that are needed in order to file a warranty claim, all we could do is offer a 20% discount on an originally priced unit excluding any product bundles, sale items or promotional items. Recently the company handling my complaint about a faulty Dirt Devil, with registered 2-year warranty, offered a 20% discount on a new product. The customer has been emailed again letting her know we cannot do a warranty claim without the cut cord/label pictures off of the unit. We must have the unit in order to get the cut cord/label pictures since that is part of the Warranty process as well as the receipt. Even though the customer has provided us with the receipt we still aren't able to get the pictures of the label and cut cord since the unit had been left at the dumpster by her elderly mother. ******************************* was notified that since we could not get the cord/label pictures that are needed in order to file a warranty claim, all we could do is offer a 20% discount on an originally priced unit excluding any product bundles, sale items or promotional items.
