I returned 4 items to **************************************** #*** on 5/10/25. The total amount of the return was ($113.55). The credit has never been applied to my account. Twice I have submitted the claim to Synchrony/Belk along with a copy of the register receipt for the return. Both times they have denied the claim saying they have received no proof that a credit is due. This has all been done on line and I cannot find any way to talk with anyone to learn what more proof they need other than their own register receipt. I just want the credit I am due applied to my account.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:Regarding my complaint against Belk, I received a response from SYNCHRONY Bank (see attached) on July 17th. They are isssuing me a temporary credit for the disputed amount. However, if after investigation they find no billing error was made, the credit will be reversed. This will take up to two billing cycles.
No, I am not satisfied with their response. Since I have submitted the register receipt proving the transaction, I think the credit should be issued and finalized. I am displeased with Belk/SYNCHRONY over their lack of response to the two times I made claims through the Belk customer service number and now the claim filed with BBB. I am a long time customer of ********************** and still find they have the best selection and prices on clothing for elderly women like me. However, after this episode, I will no longer do business with Belk/SYNCHRONY. I don't believe their computer/accounting system is reliable and I do not want to go through another episode like this. And their customer service skills are nonexistent!
Thank you to BBB for your assistance in this matter. It's the only way I got any attention to my claim.

I placed an order with belk on June 27th, 2025, today is July 9th 2025 and I have not received my goods. Not only that, they obviously feel no obligation to give me any information concerning the order since I have written dozens of emails to belk asking where my order was and have been ignored. I used the word F*** in my inquiry and I am sure they are using that as an excuse to add to what ever other excuses they want to offer for not fulfilling their promise of filling the order when they took the money out of my back account through my credit card. They have that southern despicable false sense of wounded pride as they abscound with their customers' money that they have absolutely no right to and every obligation to inform them of where and WHEN to expert items they have taken money for. They are southern thieves and wish to beleive there is some higher ground to their bogus bullying behavior than that of trickery and theivery. They have taken my money, they have not provided the products for which they have been fully paid, they refuse to give any explanation.They have blocked me from being able to send emails to them about the situation. I used to always shop on Belk and never have any problems until now. Their customer service seems not to be in ******* anymore and now my order is not delivered, and I am not receiving a refund after filing the claim I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and reverse in the payment because This is a little bit ridiculous that I couldnt receive my order when I called them to ask them if they could help me, they didnt care language barriers. I needed to return a dress I purchased online due to their sizing charts being incorrect, the dress was VERY VERY LARGE. I accepted the $10.95 return shipping fee and proceeded with the return process, having been given my estimated refund was $51.13, original purchase prices was $62.08. Since then, they are charging me an additional UNDISCLOSED FEE and only refunding me $39.36 despite what their email estimated. HAD I KNOWN I was losing essentially $22 to return and UNUSED dress, I would've driven to the closest store for the return. I called today after the emails were unsuccessful and spoke to Lisakhanya at ***************** She said that I cannot get the refund I'm requesting and the email send to me is incorrect due to my reasoning for returning and their new policy, however they are working to updated their emails so they aren't misleading. Ultimately I'm only offered $15 GIFT CARD for a store I will NEVER frequent again. I want the refund I was promised, not a refund with additional fees that I did not agree to. Order was placed on 6/17/25. A few days later I get a notification Of the order being delivered. I notified customer service and was instructed to give it 3 days to see if the order showed up, i then submitted a claim and it was denied and closed. I called two more times to attempt to resolve the issue but didnt get anywhere. The package was marked delivered but wasnt at my address. I went to Belk to buy an engagement ring and wedding band. On 5/27/25 ***** in the jewelry department sold me the rings, took my information and said I could pick them up on 6/6. Before 6/6 I got a call from *** **** saying I needed to go give my info again. She called a manager (****) over and he stated because of our trouble he would give an extra 10% off. I went to pick up the rings 6/6 and ***** redid the receipt complaining about she is the boss and they took her commission. She said the rings would be even cheaper since she was redoing it. She threw my receipt the *** **** gave me away and stuffed the new receipt in the bag. I got home and saw the receipt was wrong. I went back (yet again) to straighten it out. It still isn't right as it is still $1726.60. I was told the total would be $1600.00 *** charged again for the warranty $283.53, but once she refunded the 2 amounts $117.90 & $176.54 our charge was only reduced by $10.91. I also had to request on 3 separate occasions to have the ring resized. I am about to take the rings back and just get them from somewhere else, because this is ridiculous. I have already been 4 times and will have to go back to pick up the ring once it is resized. Please help me get restitution or I will just return the rings.Business Response

I ordered a pair of shoes that were too small. So, I sent in a request to return the shoes total $74.00 and they subtract the shipping of ***** when I received the email confirmation with the refund information . The email stated I will receive $64 back as a refund and the refund should be issued 10 days from when the merchandise has been received.I called today because I never had received my refund from when the shoes were received on May 31 so they had to push through the refund so I can get my money but once I looked at the email from Belk. They charge me another $10 so the refund will be $52 because they stated I had to pay them the money back for the original shipment to me and then pay them an extra $10 to return the merchandise back Belk. The email that I received confirming that they have received the merchandise it did not tell me that I had to pay them another $10 sothat would take my refund back down to $52. **************** is awful.
