      I ordered a pair of shoes on line and got free shipping. I asked the customer service person on the phone that if they didnt fit can I send them back with no shipping fee. This person told me yes, again I asked are you sure I can return them *** with no shipping fee and again he said yes free shipping. I placed the order with him then when he asked is there anything else I can do for you I said yes, can you put a notation that they can be returned free shipping and for the last time he said yes. So then I get the shoes and they didnt fit. Guess what they wanted to charge me 9.95 for return shipping. Needless to say I had a fit. So heads up everyone.

      Ordered several items on one order. Order was broken down into many deliveries. Belk sent email with total charged on my credit card for breakdown. When credit card came it was different amount.almost all the items had to be returned in which they charge me for shipping. It has been almost a month to receive all the order and now still returning items. I feel many of the items are not as the appear in photos. The quality is much different and even the styles. One pictures shows that it should hit at hip area and it barley hit waist. The items are hugely different then what I believe I was purchasing. I cannot return any more to the local store as they have allowed in the past. Many items appeared to be well used. l I believe the charges when broken down and the high fees to ship is how Belks in making their money. I feel it was fraud.

      If I could leave negative stars I would!! I'm so over BELK. Have called three times now to return two items that are too big. Keep getting the same story that another department needs to handle the return and they will email me the return label. It's bee two week of same story and new return case being started every time, I have two more days to return items as their policy is 30 days. I will cancel on cc if needed in two days and have item taken off cc payment. When I called today my email address has been changed to a completely different persons. I have no idea how that happened as only customer service can change that. UGH....so over Belk!!!

      Purchased an item from Belk.com that did not indicate was low in stock or anywhere close to being unavailable. I purchased on a Sunday, and the next thing I know, its been a week(the next Sunday) and order still shows in progress. I then suddenly see they cancelled with no explanation provided. I wait patiently for a week for order to be shipped out and they literally do nothing about this and cancel a week later!! This is totally unacceptable. I guess someone decided they wanted my order or I have no idea if a website issue.

      I was intentionally discriminated against and yell at by a lady for no reason other than she was a pure racist and I contacted the company and nobody ever got back with me so Im assuming whoever handles that its just like her so if you are black dont go here they clearly let you know you are not welcome there, which is really sad that people still have hate because of the color of my skin! obviously, their corporate feels the same way because no one has contacted me or anything I kept contacting and emailing them

      On January 24th I attempted to make payment on my **** Credit Card in store using my bank debit card. The payment processed and approved on the merchant services point of sale machine but did not process on the **** register. I was ask to run the card again, so I did and again approved on merchant service point of sale but not on **** register. At that time I decided not to run again but wait and pay later. As I expected those 2 charges reflected in my banking account as pending and I contact with **** manager to discuss. Luckily 2- 3 days later the pending charges dropped but for 2 - 3 days those funds were not available in my bank account. On March 2nd I again went to **** to pay the **** Credit card using my bank debit card. Once again the same experience as before. Two approvals on the merchant services machine but not processed on **** register. The cashier said there must be something something wrong with my card. I then wrote a check instead of trying to process the payment on my bank debit card again. I now have $ 300 pending charges on my bank account due to this problem at **** and once again funds not available for 2 - 3 days until hopefully those pending charges drop. I contacted the manager who told me that **** was aware there is a problem with transactions from the merchant service point of sale processing to the **** registers. She said it was random, but random that it's happened to me twice. From my experience it's been over 30 days and ***** hasn't resolved the problem. In addition it doesn't appear this problem has been communicated to **** associates as I was treated as the problem was with my banking debit card. Once again I have $ 300 of cash unavailable for. 2 - 3 days due to Belks. The public needs to be made aware of this problem as it doesn't appear that ***** is too concerned with correcting.

      I order a gift card online and was told it would be delivered within **** business days. After it was still processing 4 -5 days later. I called and I was assured it would be canceled. I then receive an e-mail say it was shipped. I called and told them I didn't need it and was told again to not worry, it would be canceled. I get the card in the mail on February 5. I called and was told it couldn't be canceled. She said it takes up to 15 days for a gift card to be delivered. I told her I never once read that. She said the best she could do was give me 15% off my purchase. WOW!!!!

      I ordered a pair of boots. They were too bug and I decided to return them. . Initially paid $39+ and received a refund of only $16+ after getting an email stating that I would receive approximately $27 as a refund. Called customer service and had to call five different times. Was disconnected twice. Then literally argued with two different customer service representatives for 58 minutes. I feel that their return policy seems to take advantage of the consumer. I will never shop on their website again. They are literally willing to lose a customer over $10. Its actually despicable. *** purchased items from them before and never had this issue. Just poor customer service all around. Even the manager disconnected the call. I heard her answer but then she was gone. This was after waiting 38 minutes to speak to her. I will take my business and my money to a company that actually cares about the people who keep them in business!

      Amazing customer service! I feel like when it comes to bbb ratings, only people with bad experience come here. The people with good experience don't normally take their time to do a good review. But all I can say is the customer service rep went above and beyond to help me! I had an issue with my order and they made it right plus offered me a 10$ gift card for my trouble. I've always loved belk and will always continue to do business with them always! They have always treated me amazing!

      First off, I grew up shopping at Belk & have been a loyal customer over many many years. I ordered 2 items from belk.com & after almost a month, I got an email that they were returned to Belk. I never received them. I paid with a $25 gift card & the balance with my debit card. I received the refund to my debit card but never received a replacement gift card. I have been on the phone with customer service for almost an hour now going around in circles telling them I simply want my gift card returned since I used it then cut up mine not thinking that I would not received the items. No help from Belk. Their customer service is very lacking & the "upper management" is useless. Belk has gone downhill over the years & WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN & TELL ALL TO AVOID SHOPPING THERE AS WELL.
