  My doctor is amazing. The service has become so ridiculous since becoming Atrium. I can no longer communicate directly with my doctor--nurses and other doctors intercept the messages. I go days without having a return message on MyWakeHealth, ultimately making me call and ask if my message was received and days later I receive a response. Refills and messages with my pharmacy are not being communicated. On the last occasion I spoke with **** and she was so rude and unprofessional. All of this has prompted this review....which I rarely do. In this case it is warranted.

  At Atrium Health in **********, the *** are very rude and disrespectful. A person name *** left my boyfriend uncover naked walked out the room without covering him up and never came back and f I actually sit there in the room the next day and watched them *** walk pass the room back and forth when he would call for help no one would come and see what he wanted they all ignored him, seriously Atrium Health is going to have to do better have a conversation with them about how they treat the patients, as I was in the room they call them turning my BF in the bed left out the room fail to cover him up I end up covering him back up, this laziness unprofessional work they are doing is unacceptable something is going to have to change.

  My mother has been at the hspt at University since Monday. They don't return my calls after they say they will. They finally brought her dinner and it's supposed to be ******, greenbeans & mashed potatoes...let me see if I can post a picture. It is the most revolting, disgusting thing I have ever seen!Nope, can't post a puc...trust me...disgusting!VERY dissatisfied with care, **************************

  My first visit was with ***************** he was half our late had no labs ordered to check thyroid level. We t to see him 6 months later ** my cost was ****** 2nd visit added liothyroxine which had severe side effects stopped taking it. I called 1/22 some to the rudest unknowable perso said ******** didn't expire then needed time for draw I would not recommend her to speak to anyone ****************** is ot proactive in my thyroid treatment by the way I have a thyroidecctomy. The cost is ridiculous the level care I received was not acceptable by office staff the front desk needs to professional I will be looking for another dr. **** billing calling over again after making payments I am very disappointed with the women who spoke to me on 1/22/24 Wouldn't recommend Dr.********************* for a endcrolocolgy issue. I can't say enough about the rude operator front desk ?? Just rude unknowable

  I'm not one to complain especially when it involves a hospital saving my life, But this hospital is unprofessional and I'm being nice about it. I don't like to complain especially if the issue isn't major but if my family wasn't here with me advocating for me this hospital would have made me suffer! I was flown to this location recently due to a gunshot wound I spent a couple of days in ICU I was treated very poorly by the training nurses and Nursing Assistants. I had things snatched out of my hand I was talked to very condescending. The last straw was when the Nurse in training gave me 2 Tylenol and snatched a drainage tube out of my stomach without so much as an apology or explanation. Then I was sent to level 11 (of purgatory because this is exactly how I picture hell!) I had 2 surgeries by this time and was waiting on my third surgery but I noticed I was being spied on by the psychiatrist I wasn't allowed to be alone. I had to constantly hold on to my urine because the Medical Assistants and Nurses found that doing their job was beneath them. The staff constantly talk about you like you're not even there. By the way, I'm a female so if you do so happen to get someone to help you use the bathroom it might be a man and you have no choice in that. This was my very first and will be my very last time dealing with Atrium this hospital has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Oh and did I mention that the entire staff loves to gaslight their patients and convince them of how much pain they are or aren't in? So if you want to experience 9 circles of h*** then this is the right place for you.......Seriously.

  My family Doctor sent me to ER for what ever they recommend, blood or Iron infusion, I told my DR. I would not take blood ,only Iron. Went to Atrium Health Union West. I told the triage nurse I would only take iron they checked me in I waited three and a half hours to see someone to for $120 copay I did not have and told me they could not give me Iron, only blood. I lost $120.00 and 3.5 hours . And had to sit in the hallway for over 2.5 hours. They are not organized there is no well-taught nurses they're pleasant enough ,but there are none with experience, on hand skills all new nurses under educated. This is what Obamacare has got. The older nurses have quite, and they are pushing out nurses with no real training. Or on hand skills. They put a IV in My antique cubital and not in my lower arm so if they blew the vein lower down you still have your upper veins to get. It's heartbreaking I nursed for 30yrs. Was a waste of my time and money I came home and took iron and will call my doctor on Monday .

  ********************************* in Charlotte ** was the WORST doctor I have ever seen. He and his nurse lacked the professional medical knowledge needed to properly care for me, and the care I was in need of was nothing difficult. I went in for a well visit and prior to seeing ********************** had my vitals taken by his nurse. I proceeded to ask the nurse if my heart rate was normal, her response was " I have no idea, I have never seen you before so I don't know". How could she not tell me if my heart rate was normal for my gender, age, and weight??? The random minute clinic nurse I had seen prior was more prepared to answer basic vital questions than she was. ********************, came in and proceeded to ask me what I was there for. I responded for a well visit and to get my BC & anxiety prescriptions refilled. He responded he didn't feel comfortable refilling my BC bc he wasn't and OBGYN, my old PCP did with no issue. He didn't know how to fill out the prescription refill for my anxiety medicine and asked me how to do it on the computer system. he then proceeded to ask me if I need labs done, listened to my heart and lungs, then asked me if I missed any dosages and then told me I was free to go. This was the worst care I have EVER received and I wouldn't want anyone to receive the poor health care I received, especially if they had actual medical needs. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE; off of Highway 51 and *********** in Charlotte, **. Would give them one star review but that is too kind!!!

  Scheduled an appointment for my son to see a sleep specialist over 3 months ago and less then a week before his appointment they contact us to advise that they have to cancel it because he was not 18. We called and they said that the Dr. that can see him because he works with kids 16 and up has no openings until May. another 5 months. WHY were we not told this when the appointment was made??? Why did it take them this long to figure this out. Atrium Health is a horrible company and they have ruined health care in the Carolina's.

  My father suffered in that ****hole for nearly a month. Went in for pancreatitis. The nurses screwed up his meds and meals on several occasions. This led to more complications with the pancreas. Inevitably, he died from Hospital-acquired Covid pneumonia. The day before he was admitted to ICU I shared my concerns with the nurse about the strange gunk in his teeth and the dark brown mucus he was producing. She dismissed my concerns and said he was fine. He was dead 48 hours later.
