Inpatient at University City Atrium Health Not being physically examined by a ******** being able to control the light from your bed. Sticky floors. Late med doses at night. Scanned on time though. Infused supposedly over 5 hours instead of 1.Tech got ** 3 times in a row and RN saying ** was too low for morphine. ***** having tech switch to other arm, tech puts ** cuff over elbow because pt has on long sleeves. Blood pressure doubling, RN, ok, you can have morphine.******* youre not running a fever based on oral temps. Pt is 61 and rectal temps are the gold standard. Pt has soaked beach towel and all bed linens. First day Techs tape IV for shower that comes off. 2nd tapes too tight and cant bend elbow. Pt is bipolar. Psych med that is an anticonvulsant is d/c. It is used off label to prevent mania and first sign is usually irritability, which pt has. Pain turns out to be 80% positional. Pt feels better every minute she is discharged and out of marshmallow bed that enforced semi recumbent position.RN says pt is weak and says pt consult is needed. Pt waits for PT which does not come. ** complains that pt not walking halls. pt was not offered help to walk hall or encouraged to get out of bed.Pt is discharged. Leaves 2 items behind. No such items when called next day.main concern is pain control. Md asks whats your D/C ********* says ********** and continue muscle relaxant. Md says I dont see how that helps but okay. Does not write for Muscle relaxant. RN goes over d/c instuctuctions. Pt says what this? RN says we will come back. RN does not go back. Pt reads D/C instructions 2 days after D/C. 1 of antibiotics is 2 times per day. Matches what is on bottle that sick pt did not read.Pt idoes not get tranquilizer that was requested about 1 hour prior to D/C. Car is quiet. Pt is sitting up so little pain. Doesnt need muscle relaxant after all.The floor design that creates constant noise even though staff is not too loud.

I had a procedure preformed in out patient surgery in October of 2022. I initially received a bill for $2000 in January of 2023. I started a payment plan with access one and made monthly payments in July I received a letter in the mail with a check that stated that my account had been paid off in full and I was receiving a refund of my July payment. In October, 1 year after the procedure I received a call from access one stating that I was past due on my account. I immediately called and was told that Atrium had sent a new balance of $2000. This obviously doesn't add up. When speaking with billing at Atrium I was told that a new claim was submitted by them to my insurance for equipment for the procedure that had occurred 1 year prior. The claim they submitted was for an additional $4000 for equipment. Mind you this was for a simple non-surgical out patient procedure. The total amount billed to my insurance was $30,000. How is it that one year later they are adding charges and how is it that the cost of a simple procedure is $30,000? They are adding false charges. I should not have to pay for these new charges. I was never even informed of the charges. This is fraudulent

Atrium Health needs to establish procedures where their prices are discussed before implementing service. The reason they are not doing it is to be deceptive. I was recommended by a doctor I had seen once to got to the Indian Trial/******** location for bloodwork due to slightly low WBC. Im fine and now I owe $2000 for bloodwork and a visit after insurance. Additional monitoring would have suffice instead of stiffing me with a bill. Hospital and Cigna are both like its your problem now. Unbelievable

I went in for an annual exam and they have no record of my specimens or lab. Can you imagine a healthcare office losing this????? How can I ever trust again? This is a painful exam for me, causes anxiety and now I have to go through it all over again. The sad part is they never would have notified me. I had to call them!

Very disappointed with the company as a whole. I've been using this network for 13 years, and still no results. Constant mis-communication, no communication, can't get the testing or care I need. I can't even find a primary care provider. Multiple physicians drop me with no explanation or communication. The physicians do not discuss my test results/diagnosis' with me. My health concerns are not being addressed. The providers don't have any compassion. Even the complaint line can't serve a formal complaint to the right office location.

Poor ***************************** My daughter had an MRi schedule at ************************** for Monday, On friday I asked her if they call or she had to do anything special. No one had call her, so I had her call Monday am, as her test was at 6 pm. After calling for 2 hours and no one answering the phone, she was finally able to leave a message. The first person who called her back said no just come. The 2nd person who called her back said she cant have any metal piercing etc. She has a newer piercing and didnt have the item needed to put in the hole so it would not close so, they told her she would have to reschedule. Then another person called her shortly after and said, she is good to come. Do THESE PEOPLE COMMUNICATE to each other other? Apparently NOT! So, she began her 1 hour, trek there, half way there another person called her and said that they are not sure they can do it. So she pulled over in a parking lot, while that person was "checking on it"...they told her come. At this point she said, my appt is at 6, but **** wanted me to be there at 5, and since i was parked waiting, I am gonna be ***** minutes late. They said its ok just come. So she did. When she got there, she was informed the tech left and they marked her as a NO SHOW. After a 1 hour drive up, no she had to drive home one hour. They wasted her time. As a health care worker myself I know there are procedures in place. Either she can have the test or NOT, just tell her. Apparently these people need to be educated on how to prep a person for the procedures that they do? This is madness. And we are supposed to trust these people? Where I have worked the patient is supposed to come FIRST. Not an employee that cuts out early and marks the appointment as a no show. unacceptable!!!! Needless to say we will have this done at another facility. Sad thing is no apology, nothing.. Then they have the nerve to call her today to see is she wants to reschedule in November

Today I experienced one of the most discraceful, selfish and discourteous experiences in my lifetime. And to think it happened here in **!I had a lab appointment at 830 AM this morning and I arrived at 8:12 AM (they ask you to arrive 15 minutes early).Once patient was ahead of me and came and went in about 4 minutes. That left me sitting in a chair for 14 minutes while 3 ladies inside the lab shared a goo old conversation with laughing, etc for all that time - even though they knew I was waiting.Only at 8:31 AM did someone in the lab get off her duff to come out and gather the names of the folks then waiting. (by then, myself and another patient).SO be warned: Atrium lab doesn't give a fig if you are waiting if your appointment time has not yet come.Instead, they won't do you the courtesy of taking you early. No! That would interrupt their gab time. Also means that Atrium doesn't give a rat's a** about customer service.Disgusting. Inconsiderate. Selfish.....These folks need a kick in the ****.

I wish I could give negative Stars - negative all the stars in the sky! Just like everyone else here, no privacy or any attempt to keep information private. After taking my blood pressure they tried to get me to go into the back, where people are committed. There was no reason for this. After 4 hours ( I was told on a complaint line that was lucky, most people have to wait all day) I met with PI **** ***************************** and his clipboard. He asked multiple upsetting questions over 15 minutes and then told me I should be committed. When I asked why, He said, and I quote: " Well, look at you. You're crying". Great diagnoses! Lets lock up all the crying women! He then tried to convince my husband that I should be committed (for crying) and husband also said "how would that be helpful?" She just needs a GP and her meds, why would you want to put her in a shared lock up?." Clipboard **** then left and returned with a list of Doctors, a phone book thick stack to choose from list of Doctors, and a prescription for something I told them I didn't want. I was charged $250.80 for this visit and then that was changed to over $3K!!! I was told the extra charges are facilities fees but can't get an itemized bill...so for walking in the door they want 3K!! I've reported them to the North Carolina ************* at - complaints(@ symbol) ************** - I recommend everyone do the same! These guys are taking advantage of our vulnerability and status. They've already had a bunch of Doctors walk out on them for this kind of fraudulent behavior. They need to be stopped!
