WORSE HOTEL STAY EVER! I stayed at Extended Stay America at the location in ****** ** (********************* We arrived very late (around 2am in the morning). The gentleman behind the counter opened the front door with a long broom stick with a squeezy attached to it. First red flag, but we were tired and just wanted to get some sleep. He gave us the handicapped room (which we did not ask for). When we stepped into the room, it smelled of cigarette smoke, it was so strong. We figured someone was smoking a cigarette outside our window and that the smell will go away in a couple of minutes. I hopped in the shower while my daughter went right to bed. Water went everywhere and I had to wipe it up with the towels. Now, we did not have any towels left. I thought about asking to switch rooms, but it was so late, and we figured the smell HAS to go away eventually. It didn't. We barely slept and as soon as the sun came up, he grabbed our stuff and we left. Our stay was approx 5 hours. After our traveling was completed, I spoke ih Extended Stay guest relations and explained what happened. They told me someone will be calling me back within a couple of days. No one ever called, so I called them and the rep I spoke with said the case was closed and that I was not getting my money back because I didn't complain while I was there. WORSE WORSE WORSE stay ever. I will tell as many people as I know about this hotel, I will blast this all-over social media, I will submit reviews wherever I can. Too bad, extended stay couldn't even give me the professional decency to call me back. Extended stay has made it quite clear they do not care about their guests.Extended Stay America

If I could give them a 0 I would . My daughter and I checked in yesterday at the **********/Cahaba location. My daughter stayed while I was at work until 11pm. I text her to come down the steps to let me in because I dropped my key in the car and neither one of our keys worked to get back into the room . We were locked out all night . Im sure they have cameras to validate my story . Thank God I live up the street so we went back home. The next morning I returned around 9am and spoke with the manager who did nothing to accommodate me for the 10 hour lost . All she said was Im sorry I cant give you a free night ; I made the keys myself . And what hotel doesnt have a desk clerk working the overnight so if something like this doesnt happen , someone could have immediately made me another key like the young lady did that morning.Extended Stay America

Check in on Sunday, your room will be cleaned the following Monday. The lie detector has determined that this was a LIE. The carpet is stained, the things I intentionally placed on the floor, and the seasonings I put on the countertop to see how well they cleaned are still present! I am supposed to have free Wi-Fi and there is absolutely no Wi-Fi on the second floor ( room 207)! I have personally seen people urinate in the parking lot in front of the manager, *******, and it was totally fine in her eyes!! She has promised the world to us as guests due to our 161 day stay here for work and is not following through! What a DISGRACE! No toilet paper, bed isnt made, and the halls smell like dirty garbage cans that are NEVER emptied! Not to mention the junk doors of the establishment dont work. Key cards need made everyday because the desk staff doesnt care to do their job properly. This is only if you can find a desk person at their station. What a joke!! Probably the worst establishment I have ever stayed at in 29 years of working on the road!!! This is at the ****************** location in ****.Extended Stay America

I reserved a room at the *** at the ************ Airport in ************, **. Upon arriving there I was greeted by rude receiptionist. The laundry room was in the back and they had the door open with laundry all over the floor and in the receiption area.I was informed there was a $100 incidential fee. As I was taken to my room there was weed smells coming from other rooms and this was a non-smoking hotel. I open the door to the smell of weed and noticed that the bathroom had cigarettes stains on the sink, the stove top was rusted, the microwave and refrigerator was dirty and had food stains in it. The bedding and towels were dirty and stained and the mattress had bedbugs.I went to the front desk to complained and the staff stated that its late and I can only give you new sheets. She and the other staff was very rude and unprofessional. One man behind the counter stated that this hotel is no longer with *** and that he owns the hotel now. However, the receptionist didn't say anything different.I cancelled my reservation and requested a refund. However, the receiptionist was unable to give me a refund or a receipt for the charges because "management wasn't there" and the printer was jammed.I left and stayed at the Embassy Suites. I returned the next morning to get a printout and spoke to ***** who was at the front desk and was the only one who try to make amends for the situation. I made several calls to **************************, General Manager of ESA Management, LLC. She has no voice mail and no one answers the phone.I will never stay at a *** hotel and my advice is for *** to hire new staff and do an overhaul of this hotel. You are located in an area where you are the first impression for someone of what the ******************** is. *** should be ashame. I am ashame for you.Extended Stay America

Ive had a three night stay at the ************** location I could not believe how dumpy my room was. There were extremities in the toilet and on the seat! The fridge is barely running, and food was left in it. The kitchen sink is just ***** and smelly. Its poorly taken care off and very dirty. I called to get a better rate than paying $350 for 3 days.I did asking for a credit for the 3 days, as I was going to prolong my stay since I am here for spinal injections throughout this month. I was planning to stay the month as well. Management reached out and said they would mail me 2 vouchers and I never received anything.Extended Stay America

I was kicked out of the Extended Stay America in *************** ** for in there words for speaking poorly about the hotel. I watched them kick out a Disabled Veteran and his *************** Animal, stating the animal was too big, there is federal laws for the *************** Animal and they broke all of them. Myself and the other veteran were also shorted on them giving us our refund. I was overcharged in pet fees. I ask all Veterans to boycott this hotel. And the district manager changed or blocked my phone number so she can't be reached. I've called corporate and still waiting for a call back.Extended Stay America

Smelled like pot, cheat of drawers was missing a drawer. People in the lobby hanging out with grocery bags and no shoes trying to get handouts. Breakfast was a pack of oatmeal next to the hot water. Loud, constant parking lot activity,. Didnt feel safe, didnt smell good, furniture was damaged. No one seemed to care. I left after the first night and just drove home instead of continuing my trip. Management refused to refund my cancellation. (I wasnt asking for refund for the night I stayed, just for leaving early.) no one cares.Extended Stay America

Should be shut down. They came to Our room and told us we OWED them $680.00 and we needed to pay it right now or leave. We did NOT owe anything. How can we owe a hotel?! They refused to listen so we paid it and the next day took our printout from their hotel that CLEARLY showed we were paid up and hadnt owed them anything and they still would not give us our money back or apply it to future days. They straight up stole that money. Yesterday they came at 5pm and said we had to pay for the 2 weeks before she left or we had to leave. We said no that we would pay tomorrow when it was time to pay and we were only paying for a night. They would NOT allow us to pay the next day and told us we couldnt pay for a day anyway that we had to pay the whole 2 weeks. We checked out and went to another hotel. Because they cant make us pay for 2 weeks if we dont want to. So after we leave I get a notification from my bank they tried to hit my card ( that when asked if we wanted them to keep it on file for future payments we told them no) without our knowledge or permission for $1,150.16 which my bank denied. If that wasnt bad enough they then proceeded to try to hit 3 other cards without my knowledge or permission to no avail. I had to shut all my bank cards down to keep them from robbing me. This morning my sister tells me they tried to hit her card ( she used it once to pay for us) for the same amount. Her card was also not supposed to have been saved in their system. What is wrong with these people that they think they can just make you pay for 2 weeks?! And when u say no and move to another hotel they try to take the money anyway!! Thats criminal and needs to be addressed and I want my $680 that they blatantly stole back! I will be speaking with the attorney General, and the bbb.Extended Stay America
