A month before our stay, we made a reservation at Extended Sat in *************, va. We made the reservation for 2 nights (Fri-Sun) but ywerent sure we were going to make it until Saturday. I made sure they understold we were willing to page for both nights so that we were able to make sure we had a place to stay for the half marathon. We had family issues that needed to be attended to Friday and we were unable to leave Friday night (it would have been a long drive extremely late at night and not safe). So we left early Saturday, arrived and was promptly told our reservation was canceled and our room was rented to someone else because went didnt arrive Friday. I get that your policy is to cancel reservations if you dont arrive when scheduled, but this was prearranged. And we were left stranded and without a place to stay in a town that was ***************** because of the event. Im furious! This was not ok. How can you cancel someones reservation when arrangements were made previously. We will be telling everyone we know!Extended Stay America

First it was a place to go to have space and a kitchen. The service here is unavailable. Nobody is ever at the front desk. Housekeeping is very minimal. The building is ***** infested. During the stay doors covered in plastic guessing for extermination. Inconsiderate of guests, my children and I were having to breath in chemicals for days...and the roaches were still crawling around. Check out was awful. I clearly stated I was checking out, and ******* charged another week to my credit card When I asked her she says yes.. I didn't know you were checking out. Then ****** comes to assist. He was very rude, aside from being upset at this point, I was not given my full refund and no clear indication as to why. Other than I'm checking out early. I paid for my time there. Extra charges were uncalled for. The guy offered the guest relations number and looking at me like hello are you gonna give it to me. The customer service is beyond awful.I definitely do not recommend this hotel. After contacting guest relations they tell me to wait for a call back. Why did I call if there is no resolution. I have been robbed for my money.Extended Stay America

If I could give no stars I would.On april 18-23,2023I flew in from ***** for the *** drumline competition. I booked a double bed for my mom and I. Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk and we had to wait about 10 minutes for anyone to come. The lady was not friendly, I was immediately charged, other hotels only hold a deposit. Once in our room we had a small full bed for the two of **. I called repeatedly with no answer, finally when they answered I was told there was no other rooms. The ** didn't work, the bath tub had hair in it. I asked if I could have extra blankets and pillows and was told no. The next day I went to ask for another room and we were put into a room that was so dirty and smelled like dogs. I'm allergic to dogs and Have been sick every since I left. There was no other hotels to stay in due to the **************** they refused to give my money back. I never received an invoice. I have been trying to get in contact with the property manager for 3 weeks with no return calls or emails. We also spent our own money washing our towels and wash clothes because we told they wouldn't give us extra because we didn't sign up for the linen plan. The room was not cleaned the whole stay. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I would not recommend this hotel, The extended stay in ********** ****Extended Stay America

I am a towing company who did work for 2 Extended Stay America's back in October 2022. I do not normally work without getting paid upfront, but as a courtesy I extended your hotel credit and billed you. I have been attempting to get paid for 8 months. I have dozens and dozens of emails and phone calls out to no avail. At first I was told the manager that was there left and did not process the paperwork, then the regional manager did not process it, then AP after 6 months asked for a W4, they said it got kicked back several times, I provided the paperwork DIRECTLY from the *** showing there is no reason for this and now 2 months still not answering my emails and phone calls. I have gone ahead and filed a small claims case against your hotel, I am asking for triple damages and I will post this on EVERY SINGLE SOCIAL MEDIA PAGE out there until incompetent employees decide to do their job. Or at the very least respond to my emails. This is the most ludicrous experience everExtended Stay America

The temporary manager is very rude and racist towards people of other color also very unethical when it comes to the practices of the hotels policies ****** is unfit to run a hotel due to lack of people and communication skills she has repeatedly harassed me and my family since she came along with false claims of us smoking in our room when we proved her wrong she has since went to the extent of trying to force us to use the reservations she makes for higher prices when we find discounted prices we have been here for months well before she came along and did not have these issues until she arrived she constantly threatens to throw us out for no reason it has to stop and the most upsetting part is her boss ***** is right along with the lies and deceptionExtended Stay America

I stay at extended stay from ********************, first I book my stay with a third party go to front desk he told me is not fully paid, ok got my debit and paid in full plus $100 deposit , he tried to run again I already overwhelmed because my 5 years old son need to use the bathroom but he doesnt care just to run the card again, he told is theres any problem and i said yes , you running my card again of course I dont want to see getting charge twice and the end of the story they charge me $167 because they said I was smoking weed , the entire hallway was smelling like weed , yes accusing smoking weed with 2 kids right? In a not smoking room that i book, I escalate this to the extended stay and they didnt refund my money they keep saying is the company policy! Really? Done with hotel, HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!Extended Stay America

I stayed at The Extended Stay America in ********, ** on April 28th. After checking in with my partner we headed out to tend to business in the area. Returning to our room we tried watching ** only to find the ** DIDN'T work!! I called the front desk and the attended came down to check it and said she'll leave a note for the manager. We settled in to go to sleep, I keep feeling like something was on me. Upon getting up to look in the bathroom mirror I had *** BUG BITES on my back, arm, neck and hand. I called the front desk and told them my room was infested! The attended stated he had No other room available and I would have to call Expedia for a Refund since that's who I booked through. My partner and I got dressed, I stopped at the desk before leaving to show the worker my videos I took of the *** BUGS on the bed and he stated No need to show me I believe you, another guest said the same thing! I did reach out to Expedia but they informed me I checked to pay later so The Hotel is responsible. After speaking with another worker on the 29th she stated for me to call on Monday May 1st to speak with the head manager. Did that and still have yet to speak with anyone. Cake corporate to file complaint...NOTHING! I've been given the run around since The 28th of April and I'm not pleased. I had to drive back to ******** in the middle of the night, partner had been drinking so he couldn't drive and I just had rotor cuff surgery and shouldn't have been driving, had to throw all our belongs away. Now I'm home and I feel like I brought them home with me. My anxiety is at a all time high. I have yet to speak with anybody regarding this matter as of May 3rd.Extended Stay America

My boyfriend, daughter and I decided to get away from the house for a night and booked at this location on 4/28/23. There was a blonde haired white lady at the front desk with a HORRIBLE attitude. We checked into the room around 6 something and immediately checked out due to the horrible and disgusting condition of the room. The blinds were broken, the floors were dirty and the bed looked like a prison cell bed. I called customer relations immediately and check out of the room. We then went to a Comfort Inn in **********.Customer relations supposedly filed a compliant and request for a refund. The next day, I woke up to an additional charge from this hotel. I called my bank and they advised it could roll off. Well it didnt so I call customer relations again to only receive an attitude from the representative. She then tells me that it shows we didnt check out of the room until Sunday 4/30/23. This means the woman at the front desk fraudulently charged my card for an additional night. which leads me to believe that she allowed other people to stay in that room under MY name. They dont want to refund me because it shows we stayed two nights. Luckily my bank is now investigating.Extended Stay America

Our stay was for one night from April *****, ***3. The hotel claimed to be smoke-free rooms, but the hallways reeked of cigarette smoke and there were burn holes in the furniture and blanket in our room. Our room had a strange odor to it. We discovered four outlets did not work, the kitchen light switch did not work, there was no microwave, and there were bleach stains on the sofa. It looked like the bathtub had not been cleaned as there was a sliver of a soap bar stuck to the soap stand. While the towels were tidy and clean there was an empty shampoo bottle next to the unopened soap bar with the towels. The room we were in was supposed to have two king **** but only one with a sleeper sofa. This is what was advertised when booking. The receptionist said they did not have two king **** in the hotel. We had to ask for extra bedding for the sleeper sofa. Fresh bedding should have been supplied in the room knowing we needed them. At 11:35 pm an alarm went off outside our room while the elevator doors were banging constantly for about two minutes. Our room was directly across from the elevators. We found out later that someone pulled the fire alarm as a hoax and the fire department came to make sure everything was fine. Our fire alarms in our room #***, NEVER went off, but they did in our other family members room #***. We assumed it was an alarm due to the elevator doors not working. We were disappointed with our stay and will not recommend to anyone.Extended Stay America
