    Should be named Crapspeed.This is the only Service provider available in our area and is DSL. More often than not we do not have the service we pay for and any time you call or connect with ***************** they tell you there is nothing wrong and want to charge a $99. Tech fee. Currently we have not had service for 6 days and they refused to admit there is an issue and will only send a tech if I am willing to pay the $99 tech fee and miss a day of ******* it will cost me $600 to get them to send someone. Absolutely horrid service. Will never recommend and will discourage anyone from waisting your money with this company's services.

    Scam of a company. Not helpful at all. Doesn't even inform you of late payments until they continue to tally your payment as late, even though you've paid MORE than enough over a period of about 2.5 years. Exorbitant late fees, too.Though, this doesn't surprise me after they were *********** first and just started raising prices to make people quit TV.

    Customer repair service is terrible. I have been without WIFI for 3 weeks and I have to wait another week for a repairperson. Such slow service should not be allowed to operate. I live in rural ************** so I have so choice except sorry Brightspeed, if I did I would definitely chose another provider. Three weeks for a repair unbelievable sorry. After reading the other reviews, I see that such slow repair service is normal for Brightspeed.

    A salesman came through our neighborhood Sept.12, 2024 selling us on switching over to their "new" fiber optic services for phone and internet because eventually OUR old service will be obsolete and we would have to change at that point. The technician came on Sept. 17, 2024 and installed our "fiber optic" lines. We discovered the very next day that we COULD NOT receive any phone calls but could dial out. There was a message on our phone that would allow anyone calling in to leave a message. BUT there was no way for us to retreive them!! We called Brightspeed every day sometimes 2 and 3 times a day for over 2 weeks with so solution and no technician would come to our house. At that point we asked that Brightspeed service be disconnected and we switched our service to Spectrum. Our service was never disconnected even after several calls requesting that it be done. People could still call our old number and "leave a message" but we could not retreive them. We disconnected all of the Brightspeed equipment and shipped it back to them and they have received all of it. Now they are trying to bill us for $124.00 for service that had not worked since Sept. 17, 2024 and we have refused to make payment. They have threatened to turn our account over for collection. This is why I wanted documentation to BBB about our situation. I know we are not the only ones that has had problems with them.

    My fiber provider, *********** was bought out by Brightspeed a few years ago. CL was fantastic, but just in the last few months we've had multiple day long or weekend log outages with no explanations from the out-sourced call center. This business is now owned by a private equity firm which has zero interest in customer service, giving customers the ability to actually understand the issue and an increasingly bad reputation in our neighborhood. ************************ A private equity firm called ************************ owns Brightspeed, and the company's legal name is Connect Holding II LLC. Previously, Brightspeed was owned by ******************, the same parent company of ***********.

    The worst internet company I ever dealt with. Ive had nothing but issues since I got them this year. Sad is the only internet company in my area besides satellite. I had an issue back in may called they was supposed to send a tec out which never showed up and they rescheduled without me knowing which I took off that day no pay. Again I had another issue in October called and they said will have a tec come out on the 22nd. Again I took off work waiting to only find out they reschedule it for the 29th. Again lost pay. Just the worst customer service as well. Will not recommend at all

    Have been trying since August to get internet set up. **************** and technical support not in **. Needs lost in translation. No way to speak with an American to get situation fixed almost November and have been. Getting billed for a service I have never used.

    I cannot even give it one star. I am currently on hold. I was a ********** customer for years. ****************** took them over. I upgraded Friday Oct 18 to fiber optic I turned and landline. The tech who installed was very nice and knew his job and said it would be a few hours before I could receive incoming calls. Saturday I still could not receive calls. I was on phone over and hour and a half still no resolution. They hung up on me. Here it is Monday Oct 21 and spoke to 5 people. No resolution. Currently on hold this is my second call Monday morning. I need this landline to work. Live against a mountain cell service is sketchy at best and I have an 88 year old mother who I can't get calls from her ** if I need to. Brightspeed program up and take care of your customers. You phoned me numerous times to upgrade and look at the service you won't give me since I did. They wouldn't post without giving a rating but I don't even give it one star

    I called this company and asked can I have fiber and DSL in the same household and they said yes. So I get the fiber installed which took 2 days for some reason. Then when I get there and move in with my grandmother on a Saturday, they have disconnected her DSL and phone line she has had for 48 years(phone). So I try calling and I'm on hold for at least a good 2 hours. I talk with someone and she gives consent and tell us it can be handled by them remotely. The issue is still not resolved. No tech appointment or any explanation of what is happening. So after a week I finally disconnect my fiber to get her phone and DSL back. Then another 2 weeks after disconnecting the fiber her phone DSL finally come back up. So now my grandmother has been getting billed 279 dollars a month due to an error on your part. Somehow you keep charging her for a tech and other fees she did not rack up. This is crazy that no one has caught this. She literally has to call every billing period to fix this. Is this how you really treat the older adults.

    WORST EVER!!!!!!! there chat line and customer service line have the dumbest people i have ever talked to.
