5 starsJust installed solar and security on our house with top teir. They are a great company, easy to talk with and form bonds with. Everyone treated us so kindly and made sure we understood every aspect of what we were to expect with installing solar on our house. Even if they ended up spending hours talking to us they did. 1 starMartinsburg, WV: Our meeting with two Top Tier **** nearly turned into a brawl. A neighbor came to our defense when one of the ** **** refused to leave us alone, standing outside our house, sneering at us, and demanding we answer his questions. The two **** came by our house yesterday (5/26) and were quite polite, so we all agreed to a longer meeting this morning (5/27). When we met again, I thanked them for their time, but let them know that I'd done quite a bit of online research the night before and I was no longer interested in pursuing the project. After a few attempts to change my mind, the lead *** graciously accepted my goodbye handshake and went back to his car. His co-worker, however, wasn't going to accept no for an answer and started coming up with more and more stories to convince me to install solar. I said the issue was closed now.This guy (I think he said his name was ****) planted his feet and started demanding I answer his questions. I was done with the conversation and refused to rise to the bait, but he still would not leave. His tone was combative, aggressive, and he started sneering at us (my wife and I). He obviously was trying to intimidate two old women who had thwarted his commission. One of our neighbors came over and asked the *** to leave, and the guy got even more aggressive about his right to be on the public sidewalk outside our house. And he STILL kept demanding I answer his questions.This behavior was EXACTLY why I was so leery of Top Tier Solar. I had read they were predatory in their sales tactics and **** confirmed every bad ***ort I've read. His co-worker had been gracious and reasonable and if I had ever changed my mind about installing solar, I would have kept him in mind. But now? 1 starI have to give top tier zero Stars! My project manager is useless! He never answers the phone and I never get a call back. When I do speak to someone, I never get a straight answer. **************** is atrocious and I just wish they would come and take their equipment off of my home. 1 starTerribly manipulative sales tactics and refused to put anything in writing. They sent three salespeople today. They didn’t have any brochures or paperwork about the system, everything was written on a whiteboard, so nothing was permanent. They were here for over an hour before they finally gave me anything concrete numbers about cost. I asked that the proposal be emailed to me and they stalled some more. Eventually they said that they were really just here to prequalify me for the loan. I said I wasn’t doing any of that today and that I wanted to do some research about their system. They then called a manager (Trey) without telling me to give me the high pressure sale I guess. I again asked Trey if they could email me the proposal and he said, “we aren’t doing that.” At this point they had been here for an hour and a half and I asked them to leave. Trey became upset, raised his voice when I wouldn’t listen to any more sales pitch, and accused me of being rude because I wanted them to leave my house. I eventually hung up the speakerphone that was sitting on the table. At this point two of the salespersons left but the third stalled and tried some emotional manipulation about, did I think he was lying to me, he’s an expert on solar why didn’t I believe him, why did i need to talk to someone else.
I wouldn’t use this company after this anyway but the proposal that they wouldn’t give me a copy of didn’t actually save me any money.Review fromDonald S

I was scammed. Was lead to believe that it wasnt going to cost me anything after tax deductions ,money back from government. Was told that the deductions were coming out of the $30,000 but ended up being over $100,000 after financial. Was forced to answer the phone agreement wasnt able to answer questions. I asked for a paper contract and was denied was told I could read the contract on my email and he accepted the contract before I could read it. Im on disability I cant afford this. I was told my $100 a month would go away and I would sell power to the power company. Im on disability so I dont have taxes to do a deductible. I was signed up for something I thought was an estimate. I hope you people can rest at night.

Mr. ******** We're sorry to receive this review. We can assure you that you were never "scammed" and that the project you had with us was fully legitimate. However, per your request, your project was successfully canceled and you don't have a loan or any project. Further, while we are not the financing company you financed with and are simply the installation company, we do see that the loan was only for the $30,000, and not $100,000 like you claim. We're unsure where you got that number from, but either way, your project was successfully cancelled at your direction and you have no business pending with Top Tier.Review fromStephen P

This company sent someone to my door to solicit. When I saw that the person who knocked was a sales person, I said no thank you and closed the door. They then knocked again to tell me that I was being disrespectful for not hearing them out. I told them I was not interested in being sold to, and that I had said no thank you. I asked them to leave my property, and they refused. I asked for their identifying information and they refused to give their name. After repeatedly asking them to exit my property, it was only when I picked up my phone to call the police that they finally left.Top Tier Solar Solutions, LLC

1 starmany delays gettting system up and running - this was primary due to Project manager's lack of attentioin to project or complete lack thereof.another big issue was that their Quality control manager told us we would receive $570 refund due to company delays and the refund would be handled within 2 days. that was months ago and no refund - almost smacks of underhanded and deceitful selling practices possibly by other employees alsoReview fromMatthew T

I am a former employee who was recently let go from Top Tier. My job was a door knocker who provided free solar consultations for qualified homeowners. What I can say is, even though this company fired me, they are a wonderful team with admirable morals, as well as both dedicated and kind workers. The goal of all the representatives of Top Tier is to help people. Everyday when they go to a peoples houses, they do so with intent to better their own life, and the person they are speaking with. Top Tiers solar products are also extraordinarily helpful. They provide people with a way out from ridiculous pay increases and fluctuations from power companies. You also get a lot of money back from the program IF you fully qualify for it. When you do business with Top Tier, know you are doing business with representatives you can trust, and who will look out for your best interest. I dont work there anymore but there are many of my former coworkers that I still keep in touch with.Top Tier Solar Solutions, LLC

Top Tier Solar did an excellent job with the project of helping my household go solar. 1st ***** did an analysis on what my house would need to produce enough energy to counter balance my electricity bill. He recommended the spray foam insulation to help insulate the attic better. I was then notified by the ******* the *** who kept me informed on what would happen next. The solar panel were installed in one day, in about 4 or 5 hours. In the next week or so the foam insulation was installed. *****, the other *** insured all the documents were sent and the house was inspected and cleared to connect to the electric company. The last thing is a tech will come out to inspect the ** Panel and ensure everything is running smoothly. Top Tier Solar did a very professional job.Top Tier Solar Solutions, LLC
