1 starWhen I called AAA at 6:25 pm, I was told help would arrive within 35 minutes. When it didn't arrive by 7:30, I looked at the app and it said 9:21 pm. I called AAA again and they confirmed the 9:21 arrival time. But the tow truck driver didn't call me until almost 10:00 pm and he told me he wouldn't arrive until around 10:30. A 4-hour wait time is totally unacceptable, particularly for a woman traveling alone. I didn't pay AAA to wait all night for help. I was not in the safest location, and I wound up calling a family member for help. My membership renews in 42 days. Guess who will not be renewing their membership?ME!Review fromNicole B

1 starAAA dispatched ************************************************************, ******* ** to tow my car and the driver dropped the front end of my vehicle on the tow bed as he was letting my car down off the towbed and now refuse to fix my car. AAA refuse to mediate. - I have been attempting to contact the owner, I've left numerous of messages with the dispatcher and has been following up from AAA every day since, and have yet to hear from someone, please contact me as soon as possible. My car was damaged during the tow on September 27th by your driver. My car has now been fixed and I still can not drive it because it's leaking oil from the lower engine oil pan, it was busted when your driver backed my vehicle carelessly directly off the tow bed and hit the front end of the vehicle on the tow bed twice busting the oil pan. It is now leaking oil I can not drive my car. I need my car fixed as soon as possible as of now I'm unable to drive my car. This issue needs your attention.Claim was filed immediately with AAA:Work Order Number: "Work Order Number" *****907 Member Name: S******* D******Member Phone Number: "Member Phone Number" **********CTS#: CTS-***-1 Damage complaint details: "Damage complaint details" S********* made a request on 09/27/2023. 1 starAAA drivers are the real heroes and heroines of this service. When they are finally dispatched, the respond promptly to tow the vehicle. At least that's been my experience. However, AAA consistently fails to provide accurate information to drivers or owners. Numerous reviews highlight instances where AAA's reported arrival times are incorrect. This sometimes leaves vehicle owners in unsafe neighborhoods or adverse weather conditions, with no clear indication of when a driver will arrive. If owners can obtain the name of their driver and directly communicate with them, they can make plans to remain at a safer location while awaiting the driver to be dispatched to the vehicle. Currently, AAA is putting its customers in jeopardy by requiring them to stay with a vehicle when a driver is not dispatched or will not be dispatched for hours. This, in my opinion, poses a legal liability issue for AAA, especially if someone is assaulted while waiting for a driver who may arrive hours later or even the next day. The annual price for this service is reasonable, but you do get what you pay for. I've been a member for 30 years and have learned not to expect much from AAA but a long wait for a tow without any clear idea when a driver will arrive.Review fromBill E

1 starOutrageous wait time for even a response from the contact towing service! And, even then they never showed up! Toay, I've been sitting at my vehicle for over 2 hours and had to call AAA back to get an update. The driver is OVER AN HOUR AWAY! RIDICULOUS SERVICE! Endless, nonsense with queues, redundant Info submision and tw companies that, evidently, could 't care less about being expeditious!Review fromDawn L

1 starOn 10/31/23 in route home from work in *******, ** to ******, **, my Jeep Cherokee coolant light came on and was in the read zone. This was around 5pm. I pulled into the ******************** in ****, **, which was about 18 miles from the ********* service center in ******. I called AAA, to have my 2020 Jeep Cherokee towed to the ********* Service Center, from the ******************** in ****. I was told my request was in the cue and that I would be getting a call from a tow truck company. The first tow truck company called me 30 minutes later and the guy said he was on his way. I was sitting in my Jeep for 30 minutes at that time, and I asked him how long it would take him to get to me, and he replied 10 minutes. 10 minutes passed an no tow truck. After 20 minutescI called AAA back and told them the tow truck never arrived and that I had been waiting in my cold Jeep for 30 minutes. I was put on hold, while the agent tried to find put where the tow truck was. The agent came back to the phone and said the tow truck driver had another customer before me, and there was a problem with their trip, and he should be there in ************************************************************************************************************** 10 minutes. This went on for 3 hours, with me calling AAA back and forth to complain about having to wait for 3 hours for a tow truck with no resolution. Finally I asked for a manager, and told her I wanted another tow truck, because the first one never showed 6p after I waited for 3 hours. I finally got the second tow truck to show up, and from 5pm, I did not arrive to my destination until 9pm. This is completely unacceptable and when I called the first time to find out where the first tow truck was, and they became aware that he had a problem with another trip, they should have immediately dispatched a second tow truck. Thank goodness I was in a hotel parking lot. I could have been stranded on tbe side of the road with children.Review fromRobert F

1 starWife left home and headed down road. Engine lost power. She called AAA so that we could have the vehicle towed to a reputable service facility. She called them at approximately 5:48 pm. They said someone would be in touch at 6;18 PM. I was at work 44 miles away. My wife called a second time after one hour of waiting.. Rep said they should be on there way. I arrived at scene at 7:45 and by the ***** of God was able to start vehicle and drive it back to our home. We called AAA a third time and rep. said tow vehicle had still not been dispatched, which was approximately 2 hours later. I then explained what happened and told ******* their service was worthless! I will be looking at alternatives. I strongly suggest you read all reviews before you decide to carry a AAA membership! Or renew your membership!Review fromSandra L

1 starAfter multiple (15 plus) phone attempts and over the course of several months of trying to get an email account resolved....I am extremely, extremely disappointed and regretful that I signed up with AAA Carolinas. I have been passed away (by phone) to different staff in different states and within ** to get the situation resolved to no avail. One staff member was very harsh and intolerant (not making me feel any better about the powerlessness of my situation). That incident in itself, I came away feeling traumatized. From my understanding, 3 emails went to the IT department with the last 2 marked "high priority", still no resolve. Management really needs to tighten up and oversee what your employees are doing and not doing including staff's interactions with the customers and follow through with requests.. Yes, I am EXTREMELY regretful and disappointed in signing up for AAA Carolinas. Writing this review gives very little comfort, however it is my only way of getting my voice heard.Review fromKara T

1 starWe have had AAA for a number of years and has always been happy with their service. Recently we notice we were getting two different policy cards in the mail. I called to follow up, and they had been double billing us on our credit card for three years. We actually had to duplicate accounts in their system. When I wanted a refund for those three years, they initially said yes and then they sent a check for just two years refund. When I called to complain, they couldnt find any of the previous information and said that two years was the most they would refund. When I called again to complain, the lady could not find any of my information in the system even though I sent her the duplicate account number, and the check that AAA sent me. The customer ********************** representative never even responded to multiple emails from me. I am very dissatisfied with AAA. We had no idea that they had been double billing us on our credit card and I am upset that they will not refund the full amount.
