      I have waited months for claims to be processed and reimbursed, been told countless times it will be processed by x date and it never is. They say they will call back and never do. A customer service person straight up hung up on me midway through our call. Absolutely no accountability and I am out almost $1000 and unable to see my doctor anymore. Awful insurance and their employees clearly do not have the support they need.

      Declined my Colonoscopy prep. FYI I pay ******* a month. The reason was that they changed page in which Doctors send medicine which they prescribed so it can be approved. It was sitting in a different area. Even though they could see it no number present to call them so remained as processing. Atrium is the biggest medical hospital etc in **. They chose to do nothing. They will not return my ***** because I already paid. If they just changed sites would it not be smart to have someone checking old site? They are not telling me the truth in my opinion. If this site is what they used before I would think info would be on system

      Been waiting for weeks no one's called me you canceled our policy In February 9 2024 for lack of payment but. We use our tax credit And you then said I had 2 application We told you no but you still want reinstate policy we have called multiple times on 3way but no preveil ***********************************

      If I could leave zero starts I would. Consistent horrible customer service with difficult to understand English. Agents unable / powerless to resolve issues. It's unfortunate that United State citizens have little control or options for health care.

      I can't get into my account at all & a password is never sent to me. When I call, I hear music for about 2 seconds then silence. So ** BCBS has no problem taking your $ but they provide absolutely no service. Fcking thieves.

      Would give this than one star if possible. Was scheduled for a shoulder repair surgery on the 11th March 2024. ********************************************************** They denied my surgery as not medical needed. Even after multiple appeals by my doctors office, indicating need for procedure, still denied. I believe BCBSNC is in breech of contract for denying me this medical needed service. Not to mention the pain, physical therapy and medications that didnt help, this would be the next steps medically per there guidelines and still denial. I have had this scheduled for over 2 weeks, have taken all steps for time off, causing me major inconvenience. Sorry I had no choice in having BCBCNC because of my job, but they have been the worst insurance Ive ever had.

      I have been a member for years. The majority of the negative reviews I see are not the fault of BCBSNC, but not quite understanding how benefits work with bcbsnc and other carriers. Firstly, read your benefit booklet. If you have a procedure or lab work, make sure they are In network. Verify which lab will be testing the sample. For most service other than a pcp or specialist office visit are going to apply your INN deductible first. After that is met, it will apply your coinsurance until the out of pocket *** is reached. If you go to inn and out of network providers, those have separate benefits(deductible &co-ins). Coinsurance is the ****** YOU are responsible for. Oop is the *** ****** you will pay for Inn or Oon covered services, meds, procedures, etc. If you fill a medication using goodrx, you will not be reimbursed. Check your pharmacy benefits, not just medical benefits. If you have a Integrated pharmacy policy l, you will First have to meet your medical deductible before coverage begins. Tier 1 are typically covered without meeting the medical deductible, check your benefits! Use Bluecrossnc.com and register for a Blue Connect account. Here you can see all policy information, find an inn provider, check medication coverage or if a PA is required. You can also use "find care/find cost" to see an estimate for procedures and/or other services such as a CT scan. Your drug formulary determines your coverage for medication. If you are prescribed a med for off label use, it may not be covered. If you are using weight loss "medication" such as Ozempic and are not diabetic, it will likely not be covered. Bcbsnc is bound to *** regulations for your safety and their liability. Always look for savings cards for name brand medications, this will save you money. You can also see if they have any patient assistance programs that you may qualify for. Lastly, remember to remain calm. The agent has no say in changing your benefits, they can only explain them.

      Not currently employed and signed up for Dental **** plan a few months ago. *** annual benefit is only a paltry $****, but I figured it might pay itself over 4-5 years. Wrong! They say pay claims based upon average dental cost in your area, however, what they really mean is whatever they pay within their own network of dentists. For example, my first routine semi-annual dental checkup cost me $277, inclusive of 4 bite wing x-rays. They processed and reimbursed me $170 or 61% of the total billing! My monthly premium is $44.35, annualized to $532 in premiums. If I have to then forgo 39% of routine checkup billing, then in no way is this plan worth having and will cost one more than being uninsured!Their website also provides no means to cancel one's policy, at least not that carries a link. Took a 45 minute phone call to a heavily accented rep to cancel the policy, which I did. I advise anyone paying 100% of their own premium to leave this one behind.
