I am writing to file a formal complaint against Source Receivable Management regarding a deeply concerning interaction I had with their representatives on 4/29/2025.On the date mentioned, I contacted the company at ************** concerning a debt that had been transferred to them from T-Mobile. The initial representative I spoke with was professional and requested that I pay half of the balance immediately to prevent the account from moving to collections. However, when I asked to speak with a supervisor to clarify whether partial payment would prevent the account from being reported to the credit bureaus, the situation took an alarming turn.i left the call feeling humiliated, threatened, and afraid to engage with the company again. The representatives refusal to provide information about payment options or a debt breakdown, while verbally attacking me, is unacceptable and reflects a highly unethical business practice.I am seeking your assistance in investigating this matter and intervening where possible. I strongly believe this company should be held accountable for their treatment of consumers and lack of transparency. Additionally, I request assurance that I can safely resolve my debt without further mistreatment or risk.I am writing to formally request that T-Mobile recall my account from ********************** Receivable Management, the third-party collection agency currently handling my debt, due to serious concerns regarding their conductI have grave concerns regarding the professionalism, ethics, and legality of their practices. I do not feel safe communicating with this agency, nor do I trust them to handle my personal financial information securely or fairly.Given these circumstances, I respectfully request that T-Mobile immediately recall the account from ********************** Receivable Management until a full investigation can be conducted.Business Response

Dear Madam or **** I filed a complaint against this entity and in response you (BBB)requested documents as a proof of my claim which was provided to your office, subsequently your office asked me to wait until March 15th 2025 and if the entity at issue did not provide response then file a complaint. Well it way way after that date and I still have not received anything from this entity therefore filling my complaint again and ask you to do your obligation as a none profit mediator between businesses and consumers. This entity is in clear violation of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Fair Credit Reporting Act. This alleged claim was reported to my credit Files by another collection agency without sending any notice to me. Then when I found out about it I sent several Validation Requests which they failed to response at all. At that time I appeal to the BBB by filing a complaint and they immediately responded that they will DELETE their Trade Lines. They deleted their trade line in ******** but they failed to delete ***********. Again I had to appeal to the BBB to force them to honor what they told and promised to BBB and me and remove their invalid trade line from ***********. Surprisingly Exactly immediately after they removed their trade line from my reports ******* (Current Trade Line) showed up in my credit reports and created damage to me. Moreover ******* damaged my ******* report as well. This company NEVER sent me any notice (like the other one) before damaging my credit reports which is required by laws. This is really frustrating to see these entities are doing these illegal, unethical and filthy actions against people of this great nation of ours. After ******* appearance in my reports I sent a demanding letter to them and up to this date received nothing. I am sure that other people are victims of these filthy and illegal activities. Please assist me in this matter.Business Response

Debt collection agency is repeatedly calling about a debt that is fraudulently inaccurate. They are unwilling to state who they represent when calling, nor listen to any details about the fact that this original debt was already paid in full. I had to research who they collect for to find out why they keep calling. They also refused to take me off their calling list even after repeat requests. On top of that, they were disgustingly, rude, insultingly condescending, and beyond unprofessional. I would label it as harassment at this point because they will not stop calling and cannot seem to behave like respectful/professional Individuals when conducting themselves. Their ****** reviews are also very atrocious. Seems like they have a standard of berating disrespect as their normal code of conduct.Business Response

I received a letter from Source Receivables Managment dated 1/7/25 stating that they were attempting to collect a debt from T-Mobile. I canceled my account and switched to another cell phone service provider in September of 2024. I made a final payment to T-Mobile on 9/13/24. I called T-Mobile immediately on 1/9/25 to inquire about this letter and for the details of what they are stating that I owe since canceling my account. I spoke with an agent named ** who told me he could not provide me with a copy of the bill and could not tell me if the account was in fact in collections. I informed him that I was disputing this bill and asked for him to have this account reviewed. He told me I would hear back in ************************************************* Source Receivables Management. Fast forward to 3/3/25 and I receive a letter of denial of credit from a bank stating that I have a collections account on my credit. I immediately dispute the account with *******. I then contact *** and speak with a rep, *****. I explain to her what I stated above that T-Mobile could not provide me with proof of what they were stating I owed and I canceled the account months prior. She informs me that she, too, cannot tell me what the debt is for except that the account says it is for an Apple Watch. I explain to her that I never purchased an Apple Watch from T=Mobile so this debt is an error and I want the account removed from my credit report. She tells me she spoke with her supervisor and he just told her to tell me to "pay the balance" and there is nothing else that she can do for me, after admitting she cannot verify the debt which is required by law. I then inform her that I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and ************************************. From the rating on this site and the other complaints I am able to read, I can see that this is common practice for this agency and they should be shut down.Initial Complaint

I am filing a complaint against Source Receivables Management (SRM) for reporting an unverified debt to the credit bureaus in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). This debt, allegedly owed to ******************, has been disputed multiple times, yet *** has failed to provide a signed contract or proper validation as required under 15 U.S.C. 1692g. Despite their failure to validate, they continue to report this account, causing harm to my credit and financial opportunities.*** has never communicated with me in any way, shape, or form regarding this alleged debt. They did not notify me before reporting it and have failed to provide any validation, yet they immediately placed it on my credit report. This is a clear violation of my rights under federal law.I am requesting that *** either validate this debt with proper documentation or remove it from my credit report immediately. If this matter is not resolved, I will escalate the complaint to the ************************************ (****) and ***************************************** for further action.Customer Answer

Thank you for your response. I am providing the requested documentation to support my complaint against Source Receivables Management:
1. Certified Mail Proof: I sent a formal dispute letter on January 11, 2025, which was received by Source Receivables on January 21, 2025 (see attached **** proof of delivery).
2. Dispute Letter: Attached is a copy of my dispute letter, in which I formally requested debt validation in accordance with 15 U.S.C. 1692g of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
3. Credit Report Showing Improper Verification: The credit bureaus marked the disputed debt as Verified and Updated on January 20 and January 23, 2025, despite Source Receivables not receiving my dispute until January 21, 2025. This suggests that no reasonable investigation was conducted before verification, which may constitute a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Despite failing to provide the legally required documentation to validate this debt, Source Receivables continues to report it, negatively impacting my credit profile. As such, I am formally requesting that Source Receivables either provide proper validation of this debt or remove the account from my credit report immediately.
I appreciate the BBBs assistance in addressing this matter and look forward to your response. Please let me know if any additional information is required.Best regards,
Obediyah IsraelCustomer Answer

Called with multiple different numbers that were local, when you are not local in my area. The number listed in the BBB was not the number that called me. Also called my mother who is not on the account whatsoever and gave all of my debt information, including how much I owe, who the debt was to, and why they were calling. This was a direct violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, as well as since I am in ****** you also violated the Kansas Consumer Protection Act by calling me multiple times a day from a number that was not listed as your own companies. If this matter is not resolved, I will be contacting an attorney as once the collection appeared on my credit report you guys stopped contacting me. This is gross negligence from your LLC, and you guys need to revise ways of collecting debt to prevent further issues.Customer Answer

I have received notice now that they sent proof of my debt to my parents address last week. It was only addressed to ***** ********* not my full name ***** ******************** so my mother mistakenly opened it for mail to my dad. This is again a breach of privacy as it had all the information and was sent to the wrong address as that address isnt even on file where the debt originated. I demand this debt to be forgiven as this is now twice you broke privacy. I expect a response and if none is received I will contact an attorney
