    I got onto the Legal Templates website as I was setting up my own LLC. I didn't realize that I had signed up for a subscription because no invoices or receipts of payment were ever emailed or mailed to me. When I saw that there were several months worth of charges on my account, I had to go way back into the recesses of my email to see why I was being charged for a service I never even used! There were no confirmations of payment or anything! I canceled the subscription and the card on file (canceling the card was unrelated).
    When I called customer service, it took me FIVE attempts to actually get through to someone. When I finally spoke to someone, he said that the account was closed due to inability to process payment, since I had closed the credit card on file. I said I wanted to be reimbursed for the amount that had been charged and first he said they don't do reimbursements. Then he tried to say he wouldn't reimburse me because the card was no longer active. I said that the card being active or inactive is irrelevant. I said they could issue me a check or send me a wire transfer or I could give them a different card number. He said they couldn't do any of that. I said I don't believe that, but in the end he refused to give me even a partial refund. He expressed his sympathy and I told him that I hope he can find another place to work because Legal Templates is SHADY as ****.
    The main issue I have from all of this is: I NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTICE WHEN MY ACCOUNT WAS BEING CHARGED. Every other subscription I have sends a reminder before they charge my card!!! It's shady as ****. It's morally and ethically wrong, and I am CERTAIN I am not the only person who has has this happen!!!! This business should not be allowed to operate!!!!!

    Today August 7, 2023 I noticed a $39.95 charge on my card from this company. There is also a charge 6/4/23 and 7/4/23. I’m calling my bank now to see if they charged me every month since the one time I used their service in November 2022. I paid the $1 to use the one form when I signed up. This is fraud. I can see how other people have done the same as me, use their service and unknowingly get charged EVERY month since then. Absolutely insane! $359.55! I called the number and was met by an extremely condescending employee. As if he has to take these fraud calls all day. I told him straight up this was fraud and to cancel whatever it is they have me signed up for. He said to just contact my bank instead of offering me any resolution. The email on the account is *************************. I want a charge back for 8 of the 9 months.

    I am attaching the email from the cancellation from yesterday after I spoke to someone over there on the phone. They get so many inquiries about fraud charges it is listed in their FAQ on their website and I am attaching screen shots of their website too. They are tricking people with their “memberships” and hoping people won’t notice or understand what they’re doing when they sign up.

    Same old bait and switch free trial then exhorbinant fees after with no warning. There is no cancel form on their website. Legaltemplate keeps trying to charge a card that has a spending limit with a charge of 38.95 that is greater than the limit.

    On July 18, 2023, I signed up for a free trial in order to print out one document for a room rental agreement. I entered my debit card information for the free trial in order to be able to print out the document. On July 25, 2023, I noticed a card hold in the amount of $38.95 from Legal Templates on my bank account. I did not authorize any withdrawal from Legal Templates. When I called the number attached, all I got was an automated phone tree. I then logged into the account in an attempt to cancel and request a refund - there was no way to cancel or request a refund - the only information under user settings and billing history was a charge for a monthly renewal purchase of $38.95 (Reference # ***********), there was also a monthly renewal purchase of $1.00 (Reference #***********). I then found another number to call and was able to speak to a live person. I explained I did not authorize this transaction, that I wanted this cancelled and a refund of my money. I was told I would not get a refund because it was past the 7 days (it was exactly 7 days as of the 25th of July). I repeated I wanted the subscription cancelled immediately and a refund, as I did not authorize this charge. I was ignored about asking for a refund and instead was told I would have access to all their legal document services for a lower monthly rate of $9.99 per month. I said NO, I want this canceled NOW, I do not need this service. Finally I was told it was cancelled and the phone slammed down in my ear.
    I am requesting a refund of the $38.95 charged to my account to resolve this matter, as well as to warn any others to be wary of this company. The website is VERY misleading.

    I signed up for the $1.00 trial for 7 days on 05/09/23 and was charged $39.95 on 05/16/23 ref # ***********. I created a form that I could not use. My mother passed away and I forgot all about it so I was charged again 06/16/23 ref # ***********. Completely my fault for not canceling, I accept that. So I went to my account and selected to turn off the reoccurring billing. On 07/16/23 I again was charged $39.95 ref # ***********. I again attempted to turn off the reoccurring billing and contacted support to verify that I won't be charged anymore. They confirmed that I won't be and told me that I was still legally responsible for the most current charge. I was never even able to use the 1 form from their site and have now tried to cancel it twice. So now I have been charged a total of $120.85 for absolutely nothing.

    Got a free 7day trail for legal Templates and ended up trying to cancel said subscription but it wasn't going through for 3 days, got frustrated I had no comfirming email just to find out that my bank account got charged almost $40 for this subscription. I had explained that it wasn't letting me prior and they did not care said they couldn't refund me after I had finally closed the subscription out which is bs they have all my info stored on which card was charged they just won't refund me!!! I am not paying for a service I've tried to cancel for several days, would like your help getting my money back thanks!

    My card was charged with two transactions. I have no clue why I was charged 39.95. It stated pay $1 for a 7 day free trial now my card was charge in that amount and I did not authorize the transaction.

    I've been charged a recurring subscription that I didn't sign up for and does not exist on my account on their website. On the website, I do not have a subscription, and therefore, I have no way of canceling this ghost subscription.
