I’ve been a resident for 3 years and they always have rude staff I ask for maintenance request on a lot of occurrences and it would take weeks or months.and when I call they would tell me they be there when they be there I figured if I paying u rent I should be treated the way u want to be treated.they would also loose your personal information including mishandling your rent money.

This property manager Crystal Cody has targeted me since she became office manager in August 2022 I’ve been here since 2019 my lease is up 11-22 adv I was moving out due to apartment up keep I had to call city to get things fixed properly door was broke in left unsafe and open for 8 days I have all girls on home had to stay with my mom due to anyone could’ve came on us. She got upset and filed eviction on me due to late rent when I had a state assistance program pay a large portion towards rent office manager denied the payment for no reason .Kaia was very nice and tried to assist but was told by crystal not to help me or take any funds from me this has been going on for months now. Crystal said they don’t do 30 days notice anymore put a 5 day notice after assistance program reached out to office couldn’t get anyone on phone to accept rental payment now waiting on eviction court paper when all this could’ve been avoided. This is terrible business and I thought ppl should know she picks and chooses got wrong paper work another unit was behind 3k in rent but not even 30days behind and eviction is filed on me but other ppl are behind 2 months in rent. I truly feel targeted and discriminated against

      Bells Apartment West Mooresville NC
Don't walk in the grass, animal droppings every where and the pet urine is killing the grass around the building. Stairwells and stairs are covered with dead bugs up against the exterior walls. The platforms are never cleaned and has leaking trash stains all down the steps. This past weekend the stairs had half eaten pizza and other food items on the steps. Reported weeks ago and nothing done as of yet. Noise level is bad, no respect, like living in a zoo. Reported all concerns to management and they replied but nothing has improved. However the noise from other apartments have not been fixed nor any cleaning has been done. I do NOT recommend this to anyone. Definitely not luxury living!!!! Run as fast as you can in another direction. DONT waste your time reaching out to next level management, all I got in return was a courteous email telling me to talk with staff there. That I have already done and it was a waste of my time. This is just like a bad car deal, get in you and signed up and then nothing else matters just take your money and then you are sunk. A book full of rules that are not kept up with other than you better pay your rent on time or be evicted. Very unprofessionally ran!!!!

Would rate this company a zero if I could. Worse apartment complex I’ve rented at in over 8 years. This company is the management for the James Apartments in Annapolis. They do absolutely Nothing in regards to your car being broken into and attempted to be stolen. It happened twice. Their garage door is ALWAYS broken. They advertise controlled access as an amenity but say they are not liable for any criminal wrongdoing even if their broken garage is the direct cause of the crime. Management is not helpful at this facility. They over charge their rent and say it’s based of market even though market data shows substantially less value given the square footage and quality of living here. This office will do anything to get out of having to pay for anything they are the direct cause of. Find a different apartment with a better management company and you will be better off. These people just want your money and certainly won’t help you.

The Mercer 1900 property has been horrible since I moved in. I started experiencing roaches when I moved in. Only resolution was that I had to move to a different unit paying more money (they would not let me out of my lease) . After that the customer service in the office has been terrible since. It’s been documented through google reviews that the assistant manager called one of the residents a b*** because we wrote reviews about the pest. I also have been waiting for a large check since July and nobody can tell me where it is . The properties 4 star rating has gone down to a 3.4 since staying here and I think all of these complaints should be taken seriously.

I have written communication with the leasing department that our apartment would have new hardwood flooring installed before move in. Got here and they installed linoleum flooring, not even real wood. Complained that we had an agreement for hardwood flooring and were not notified about the change. Asked for a change in price since they decided to go with cheaper material than we were promised and they declined because already signed lease before move in. This business is shady at best with their business practices. Renters beware

IMAGINE HOW YOU WOULD FEEL IF YOU WERE PUTTING ON YOUR CLOTHES & A ROACH RUNS DOWN YOUR LEG!!!
If you want Luxury living with bugs/roaches in your clothe, shoes & in unit in general then this APRT is for You!
I see that they don’t care about the negative reviews. Most of these positive reviews are new residents that moved in. You get points for leaving a review. I would know because I did one when I first moved in. So be aware.
This place is the worse. The worst.
As soon as you sign the lease they no longer care.
Horrible customer service. The passive aggressiveness is beyond unnecessary. You guys need to work on your customer service. Paying $1820+ monthly for a 646Sqft unit is ridiculous, but what’s more ridiculous is living with roaches & bugs. The past few months have been nothing short of frustrating.
The phones are right in their face, but you never get anyone to answer. I have literally called over 8 times certain days, at different times, & got no answer. I have parked outside the office (WATCHING) & called before & still no answer. Why do y’all have phones? The emergency line never gets answered. You have to leave a vm. Then they will decide to call you back or not. What type of mess is that? Why is it an emergency line if you can’t talk to someone during an emergency?
They literally do not care about you or your concerns.
Your maintenance concerns aren’t all addressed. They don’t do things that they claim that they will do. They don’t report issues that occurred in your unit. I had a whole water leak that was not reported and still isn’t reported in my resident portal. You have to follow up with them to get updates on requests.
I see roaches and other insects on the weekly, especially in the closet & bathroom, but was told I don’t have infestation if I only see them “here & there”. What does that even mean? I literally have a collection of different bugs I have seen in my unit. I need to be reimbursed for rent. My issues are not addressed

My family moved into Elevate 54 in March 2020-a new construction building/unit that had not previously been occupied. After knowing things just weren't right, we found the bottom of our bed covered (I mean completely covered!) in mold in April 2022. This was after having to throw away linens and various belongings over the course of time due to mold. After finding the mold growth and reporting it (and continuing to find mold growth, ie: on my shoes!), management refused remediation-literally saying they were not entertaining the idea of remediation at all, and created this story that we caused extensive mold growth ourselves by running a child's dehumidifier twice and that we were not cooperating with management to correct the situation. They did have our carpet shampooed (refusing to clean underneath our bed) but then left the floors soaking wet with no fans afterwards. They had their attorney send a really nasty letter to the NC Real Estate Commission (I filed a claim them) that included false, ridiculous accusations directed towards my husband and myself, also stating that it was our fault and we caused the mold growth. They even questioned our motives when we requested a lease transfer to a nearby property also owned by Bell Partners. At the time we moved/transferred, it was the quickest and most reasonable solution for my family. I did what I had to in order to move my family to a safe, healthy environment. During moveout, we found more extensive mold that had spread from the master all the way to my son's room and closet along with various personal items that had to be disposed of due to mold growth on those items. After moving out on June 30, they painted over the mold in what had been my son's closet and rented the unit out within weeks of our departure. I am saddened and angry at the response and lack of urgency on Bell Partners part. There needs to be more laws protecting tenants in this matter.

      Ms. ********* *******,
Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. Contrary to your assertions, maintenance staff visited your apartment shortly after you first reported apparent mold growth in December 2021 and numerous times over the following months. During their initial visit, maintenance staff discovered that you were running a humidifier in the apartment, which unlike a dehumidifier, adds moisture to the inside of a living space, thereby creating conditions conducive to mold growth. Inspections of your apartment found no indication that the moisture in the apartment was from a water leak or any outside source. Despite advising you multiple times to stop using the humidifier and to instead use the dehumidifier provided by the community staff, maintenance personnel observed during multiple follow-up visits that you were continuing to use the humidifier in the apartment. A licensed mold remediation specialist also inspected the unit in April 2022 and similarly found no evidence of water intrusion and concluded that the mold issues were caused solely by your running a humidifier. We regret that you feel the community staff did not adequately address your concerns. However, the facts remain that the community staff acted swiftly and appropriately in dealing with the apparent mold growth, but their remediation efforts were limited by your refusal to follow the recommendations of both the 3rd party mold remediation specialist and community maintenance staff.

I am aware of how a humidifier works. If that were the case, most parents or people in general would have mold growing in their homes. The fact that Bell Partners has so aggressively blamed the "AMG" on us should be embarrassing to a company. It doesn't take a genius to know that a child's humidifier would not cause extensive mold growth to spread through an entire apartment. The mold remediation specialist said they were going to install an industrial dehumidifier but then property management canceled that-no us. The remediation specialist also DID NOT state that the mold was caused by the humidifier. I have a copy of his email. We did not refuse any recommendations and were stood up multiple times by reps for Bell Partners and the remediation company for meetings that my husband and I would take off work for. Not sure what angle you all are playing but we are talking about people's health and lives here. The mold spread across the apartment and was growing in my son's closet and he was having chronic headaches and health issues. Might I add that a humidifier was never used in his bedroom. Bell Partners and all it's representatives associated with this should be ashamed. I'm sure everyone involved was going home at night to a clean home and didn't have to worry about sleeping on top of mold. You all have the pictures. It doesn't take a genius to see that the growth was not caused by a small humidifier. Good luck with your "luxury living" apartments....paint will only cover mold for so long. I hope you all sleep well at night knowing you are putting innocent people in danger. God Bless.

Do not move into a Bell Partners property.
Our dishwasher broke, and we were hoping it would be replaced with a new one since it is a very old model and we've seen management tossing out old models and replacing them with new ones.
It took 8 days of no communication and hand washing dishes for them to "fix" it.
They did not fix it, they replaced it with the same old model, except stained and reeking of cigarettes.
No tenant should ever be treated like this, so do yourself a favor and don't live in a Bell Partners property.

      Hello Mr. *****,
Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. We have since replaced your dishwasher and have been in communication with you. Maintenance had put in a temporary dishwasher until the new one came in so that you would be able to wash your dishes. We understand your frustrations with prior management; however, we hope that we have now satisfied the issue. Please let us know how we can further assist.
