I reviewed my Consumer Reports and noticed that there was an inaccurate account(s) on my credit report

      State employees credit union :618655XXXX

Consumer Reporting Agencies have assumed a vital role and have a responsibility to report Consumer information to the best of their ability with maximum accuracy.

I contacted "THE COMPANY" and asked for them to investigate & remove the inaccurate account from my consumer report that they are illegally reporting and I requested specifically the alleged original application bearing my signature and they have not been able to provide such proof to me.

This is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and these disputed items may not appear on my credit report if they can't be verified by any evidence or proof.

I received my NCSECU on or around October 2017 and took pride in the fact that all my payments were routinely made in a timely manner. Unfortunately, in March 2018, I had a tragic hit which caused me to lose my place and all my belongings due to a fire. I am the sole provider for our family and was unable to go to work for over 4 months then was on maternity leave afterwards. I did use what maternity leave time I had to cover our living expenses but needless to say, this left us in an unfavorable position financially. Not only do I have two young children but it was the hardest time of the year since I had to start over and had just had another baby. Concessions had to be made and regretfully, this led to a late payment on my NCSECU account. The loss of income, even though it was for a short period of time, was a brutal “wake-up” call for me concerning financial responsibility. Since that incident, I have learned the essential organizational and financial management skills I desperately needed at that point and my payment history from 2017-2018 reflects that. I wish to thank you for your renewed confidence in me and for giving me a second chance at a positive relationship with NCSECU, one that I am determined to keep untarnished. As I am about to begin the process of purchasing a new home, it has come to my attention that the late notation from NCSECU may prevent me from taking full advantage of the best interest rates available. Since that notation does not reflect my current status with an NCSECU account that was also paid in full , I am requesting that you please give me a second chance at a positive credit rating by revising those tradelines or removing it. I sincerely hope that there is redemption at NCSECU, and I plead for such consideration for a single mom of two
      Very hopefully yours, ******* ******** ******* ******

On November 8th, 2022 I went to the State Employees Credit Union located on **** * *** Street to remove my name from my Daughter’s account because of about a month of misunderstandings about money SHE owes to them, not myself. She had also updated her address with SECU and they would ALWAYS change my address as well causing lots of confusions as I try to use my bank card (address didn’t match because they changed my address to her address). I had to request a change of address several times before SECU finally got it right!

With me removing my name from her account, I was informed I would not be liable for any money she owes! Not TRUE!!

On 1-12-23 (2 months later), I checked my savings account and noticed someone had made a “Member withdrawal” for the amount of $87.53. Now I am totally confused because myself (the member) had not made any withdrawals from my account! On 1-13-23 I immediately called the 1800 number on the back of my card to see how this could be. I was informed the transaction was made by SECU at the *** street location in ********* NC. When I contacted SECU on *** street I was told because my daughter was still listed as a “user” on MY ACCOUNT she had part ownership of MY ACCOUNT therefore they could take the money from me! This is absolutely ridiculous!! They should be going after her, not me! I told the lady that I had other bills that were coming out and by them taking MY money that would create a Hardship!! She informed me there was Nothing she could do and if I wanted to I would have to remove her name from my account. I am so frustrated with all of this because it was not like this before. I would like for SECU to return my $87.53 back to my account and go after the person that owes them which is not myself! Garnish, tax withholding whatever…just don’t take MY money!!

I am rejecting this response because:

I have not received any calls concerning this manner since I filed the complaint. Also I was never notified that SECU would be taking any money from my account; and to list it as “member withdrawal” is false pretenses since I the member did not withdraw any money from my account!

      Sincerely,

      ******* *****

Our account was hacked on December 30,2021 and on January 3,2023. All transactions have been posted. As of January 13,2023, none of my funds have been reversed. With this being the account that I pay bills out of, I have had many credit card payments returned and also charged NSF fees from SECU. It is a complete scam and has made my 2023 ridiculously hard. Especially as someone who gets paid monthly with all of her credit card payments past due and NSFs being taken from account. I’ve struggled all month because SECU is in no hurry to reverse charges. Not to mention, the cyber security isn’t secure at all. I need to know how to get SECU to take this matter seriously.

I recently got denied for a credit card due to my credit as a result of YOUR COMPANY’S FAILURE to positively verify this account.

Not only have you ignored my prior requests for validation of debt but you also continue to report this debt to the credit bureaus causing damage to my character. I am giving last chance to DELETE this on the consumer’s report at once or I will SUE your company for violations of my consumer rights as indicated under both the FDCPA and the FCRA

I noticed I had late payments from STATECU on my credit report. During these months I did not receive anything stating I was late. As you can see, majority of my payments have been on time so I am requesting the removal of these late payments my account. I am trying to increase my score to purchase a home and would greatly appreciate if you guys can submit a request to the credit reporting agencies to remove the late payments.

The end of November while recuperating from a severe heart attack i contacted the state employee credit union to request I skip the month of December for paying my personal loan. I was told by the representative my balance as of that date was 335.00. I called back on December 19th to inquire about the interest rate of the loan. I was told the balance was 482.00. I’ve experienced several problems with the credit union over the past decade. I am on disability and request some assistance with this matter.

I received a notice that I have a collection from STATE EMPLOYEES CRED U on my credit report. It says it was opened on 01/01/2020 for $1,729 with account number starting in ********** that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the **** and FDCPA.I would like for this collection to be removed asap or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.
