      One of the best decisions Ive ever made! The delivery and pickup process were easy. I was able to schedule when best for menot them! The drivers communicated with me the day before and day of and I appreciate that they worked with me as I have a hearing impairment. The cost was reasonable and lower than other similar services. I had positive interactions from everyone I dealt withcustomer service, billing and drivers! I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for storage and/or moving services.

      Process was seamless. From the first customer service rep to the final pickup, I couldn't have asked for a better process. The rates were fair, direct and inclusive. Any time we had a question, they were helpful and patient. Drop off and pick up were excellent. They can maneuver in some rather awkward spaces. The link for helpers really allowed us to focus on other tasks without stressing ourselves out. We did a long distance move and this was such a great experience. I'm not hiring anyone else but these folks even if it's just avoid town. No more moving trucks for us.

      Packrats was superb- I dealt with only professionals in the sales department, billing, and the drivers both on drop-off, storage, and pick-up. Packrats blows the competition away in their service and their prices- HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

      From the initial phone call and explanation of services to the delivery and drop off - we could not be more pleased. The communication from start to finish was exceptional and all contents were delivered across the country in a timely manner and narry a scratch! Would HIGHLY recommend this service to anyone needing to get goods w/o driving it themselves!

      Absolutely avoid them at all costs. Completely incompetent. I have slept on an air mattress for a month and counting because this company simply cant complete their services.

      Sadly, I had a very negative experience with Pack Rat for my move from ******** to *******. The problems began when they were **three days late** dropping off the shipping container at my Michigan home. This meant we had less than 24 hours to load an entire house worth of items into the container, which was incredibly stressful. Then, they contacted me to tell me they couldn't guarantee that the container would arrive in ******* before July 25th, despite originally committing to a delivery date of July 16th. This would have resulted in **nine extra days** of my family having no beds to sleep on, no towels to bathe with, no dishes to cook with, etc.! After many calls to their corporate call center and having my calls escalated to a Team Lead on their Service Dispatch Team, they were able to move my delivery date up to July 18. So in the end, our container was delivered **two days late**.I spent so much time on the phone with the Operations Manager for the ********, ** Pack Rat location and representatives from their corporate call center. In the end, I demanded compensation of $800 for them missing all of the deadlines they had committed to, and they gave me that amount back.I do not plan to use Pack Rat again in the future since they did not honor the drop-off dates they had committed to for this move.

      I was highly disappointed with my service from Zippy Shell/1-800-PACKRAT. I had a long-distance move and I did a lot of research into different companies for my move. I decided to use this company because I was able to choose the pick up and drop off date of my container. When it came time for them to pick up my container after I had filled it they were a no-call/no-show. My container was originally supposed to be picked up on Tuesday, June 25th and then delivered to my destination location on July 6th. I chose that Tuesday for pickup because myself and the kids werent leaving until the following Saturday and I had no plans for the remainder of those days but instead I waited around all day Tuesday for a phone call that never came, then on Wednesday woke up to a voicemail saying they would pick up Thursday instead without any explanation. So I rescheduled the doctors appointments and the couple fun activities we were going to do Thursday for Friday instead, keeping in mind that flights out were Saturday morning. Thursday came and I got a text that I was rescheduled again for pick up on Friday. Therefore, the remainder of our time in ********** was ruined because I had to cancel everything else we had planned. Then when I called to speak with a supervisor about it they said they usually give $50/day for late pickup but because it was such an inconvenience they would give me $100/day. When I called after the container was delivered 3 days late on July 9th, they denied ever saying they would give me $100/per day late and said they only usually give $50 period, not per day. They said they would go back and listen to our phone call and when they called me back said that the supervisor had actually said it was normally $25 but that they could give me $50 which was completely untrue. Im upset because I signed an agreement and I did so on the premise that they would follow through with their end and they didnt and with zero communication to me about what was going on.

      My $5000 couch completely RUINED, pooped on and gnawed at by RATS as evident by the RAT FECES  it was covered in. Its clear my things were not protected from the elements. Not one part of the service has been as described or as I agreed to it. This company caused many headaches starting with the day of the move on June 28th. I was forced to pay for movers, which were scheduled to arrive between 8am-12pm, they did not arrive until after 5pm. Based on the apartment, they should have had a 3 man crew, they only had two, and were not professional movers based on the careless and inappropriate way they were moving things. On various occasions I had to ask them to be careful with delicate furniture and boxes marked fragile. They broke our dresser when moving it into the freight. They failed to cover my couch with the plastic I provided. They said it was unnecessary because the warehouse was covered and the cage would be moved to a pod, which was a lie. Movers had no paperwork, no tracking system, no logistical planning, no way of telling me when I would receive things after pick up. They hooked me with a low moving cost and said Id get my things in 8-10 business days. The sales reps were helpful and friendly but the reps handling the servicing after pick up are rude and unhelpful. I booked my move in early May, giving them over a month and a half to book the freight, but I learned they contract the move out to 3rd parties and have no way of giving updates or a way to track my items during the process. On business day 10 my things were barely leaving the origin state, and Im sure if I had not called they would have taken longer. It took them 15 business days to get things from LA to **, and an additional 2 days to even let me access them because they needed 48 hour notice? ***?? They charged half the move upon pick up and refused to let me even look at my things before charging the second half. Upon receipt of my things I discovered various items have been damaged.

      Absolute worst moving company I've ever dealt with! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! They may be cheaper, but the savings are not worth the headaches and stress they cause!! They have no tracking system. No logistical planning. No way of telling you when you will actually receive your things after they pick them up. They hook you with a low moving cost and say you'll get your things in 8-10 business days. The reps they have doing the sales are super helpful and friendly but the reps they have handling the service updates are useless!
