      I strongly advise anyone considering packrat as a container shipping or storage service to choose another company. I hired them to provide storage containers and transportation of my entire house from ******** to *******. Their communication with me during my long distance move was absolutely horrendous and was further complicated when they had a wall collapse at the building they share with the postal service. We were not provided any details on the extent of damage to their business and we're given the run around on what they were doing to fix the situation. The delivery window is currently extended to four weeks past the contracted delivery date and there is still no clear path on how this nationally recognized business is going to ensure their customers are going to be made whole. To further the issue, the delivery next week is still not guaranteed and they are not communicating the actions they are taking STILL!

      Moving is already stressful, and this business somehow made it 100% WORSE!!! **************** is horrible...basically nonexistent; They overcharged me and getting in touch with someone to help with the discrepancy, because of the horrible service, has been impossible. Their description of the containers state they will fit 3-4 bedroom (furniture) I could barely fit 2 bedrooms and thankfully I didn't have to bring the fridge or dishwasher or any other large appliances they would NEVER fit. Delivery driver was incompetent and placed the container in the wrong spot making loading more difficult. OVERALL! Can't believe the company still exists. I work with the military who's personnel moved 365 days out of the year so I will be generating word-of-mouth to 'NOT' use this company ever!

      I scheduled a container to be dropped off today. Had not received any communication to verify a time this morning, so I called . There was a 90 min hold time but they gave the option for a callback. The callback occurred about 3 hours later, but I was placed on hold for 30 min before I hung up. This is absurd customer service.

      We had no issues with PackRat! Drivers were on time, professional and on the delivery end they even helped unload the smaller container so they could take it back that same day- definitely not in their job description! Sales contact and subsequent customer service contacts were professional and helpful, and gave accurate information. Highly recommend the locations we used (******** and *******).

      Order LDM-RET-******* I am devastated and in tears with my recent interaction with PackRat. As a single mother, relocating from ***** to *********, I was referred to your company by my realtor. At the time of booking, I was unaware of my new address but knew it would be in ***********, ** and was informed that my belongings could be stored in ******** until I provided an address for delivery. Today, when I called to give the address, I was told that an additional $2,700 would be required to transport my items to *********. This is on top of the $2,300 already quoted for transportation and storage. I am not sure how any of this got screwed up but there is no way i can afford this. I am 27 years old with a 2 year old and all of my possessions are now being held unless I pay. I have tried speaking with supervisors and requested a review of the phone recording from our initial conversation about the area Im moving too; however, they stated the best the could do was charging me the additional $2,700. The only solution offered was this additional fee making my total to move from ** to ** $5,000, which seems excessive given that I packed and will unpack everything myself. I maybe naive and screwed up and not understood but do not think this is all my fault and asking for some help. Anything at this point so i can afford to get my life shipped to my new home.

      This was the worse business *** ever had to deal with! 1st I paid for a slot 8am to 12am which they were late on May 9th and the driver kept calling me ******** even when I said my name was ****. I call pack rat to get and ETA time and the lady put me on hold only to not really put me on hold and started talking about it not her problem that I pick the time and on top of that I didnt pick the 1045 to 2:45slot I had 8am to 12 . Now here is the kicker on Saturday I had another slot 8am to 12 well they get to me at 230 but the driver kept calling say 10 minutes then 12 min and that went on for over 3 hours starting after 11am! To top it off I hired movers had to pay them 485 to come they were here in my window and the pack rat nerve came!!so I lose thats 485 and have to pay another 485 for them to come back to unload me ! Who has extract money to pay movers twice when actually they were here on time ! I will nerve use pack rat ?? again! Then once the did drop off my bind it was another ordeal of foolishness!!! I

      I never imagined I would be writing a review like this but through all my pain and grief I could no longer keep this to myself. My husband and I were both retirees planning an out of state move for months. Our moving date was set for January 13, 2025 with Pack Rat Moving and Storage. But on January 10, just three days before we were supposed to move, the unthinkable happened. My husband of ************************************* the midst of my heartbreak and grief I reached out to Pack Rat Movers and Storage to cancel the move. I explained what had happened and offered to give them proof of his passing. Instead the next day January 11th they charged my credit card a fee of $567.82. Since becoming a one income senior citizen and on a fixed income I really couldnt afford to make the move or afford the bill which will take months to pay with a high APR rate. When following up and requesting a refund, they refused by saying company has a non refundable policy which means no credit at all. No compassion or kindness, just cold policy. I wasnt just canceling our move, I was canceling a future that my husband and I had planned together. And amidst my grief I was met not with empathy but with a bill. Please think before using this company. Moving is hard enough, and losing ones spouse before a move is even harder. The last thing I needed in my moment of deep loss is a company that couldnt find it in their hearts to show even an ounce of humanity.Please beware of Pack Rat Moving and Storage and their policies.

      Called April 1 to arrange a container for a move from ************* to ********. Explained in detail that I lived in a rural area. They confirmed no problem, sent me a contract. Container scheduled to be delivered April 25. Wasnt charged as expected on April 15 so I called. Reassured all was fine. Called 3 more times to verify the order was ok but no CSR did more than look at the screen in front of them that said "scheduled.' All was not fine!Container never arrived! I called multiple times on April 25 and was told 'It's on its way. Will be there by 11 pm." What a LIE!!! This warehouse had never planned on delivering to me because I was too far from them to be cost effective. I finally reached someone in Logistics who said "Oh we never should have taken your business." Aargh!This literally cost me 4 days, put my new job 1600 miles away in jeopardy! It inconvenienced 8 people who were gong to help load the container and almost cost me $300 more in hiring loading helpers. The next *** agreed to "escalate" my claim of breach of contract. But 2 days later they still hadn't decided if they'd even send me a container! The final woman I spoke to in "Escalation ***** was so rude and awful. Never even apologized for what they put me throught. And despite being in "escalation" she would't call or even put Urgent in the subject line of the email she deigned to send to management about my dilemma. She kept repeating "they'll get to you in the order in which it's received."I canceled and called Pods. They made special arrangements to have a container to me a day later and pick it up in 2 days. And they matched the "bargain" price Packrats had given to me. Each time I've called Pods, they actually got me real information. I may not like the answer but I can trust that it's the truth. Who lies about a container being enroute!?! No respect for me or anyone helping me. Terrible business. They're lucky I'm not suing them. Should be closed down. NEVER USE 1-800-PACKRATS

      ******** customer service. Endless loop of lies.They are very good at taking your order and terrible at delivering the product. Waiting for home storage container and no one can give me information. One CSR told me they would deliver between 11p and 3a. Really? In the middle of night? Yes she was adamant that they deliver 24 hours. Still don't have the container or any information. I will cancel if i can ever talk to someone!!!
