      I have been with this Credit Union for a few months and their customers service is by far the worse. I have been getting a business credit card statement via mail when my account is clearly set to electronic. When you go through the automated system to get to a rep they are clueless and the issue has still not be fixed. I vented to a credit card rep and he told me I was being rude because I'm unhappy with their service. Add sensitivity the the list. Worse decision I've ever made. I wish my beloved **** Federal Credit Union was in this area. This has been a disaster. I wish I could leave less than a 1 star

      I am contacting an attorney for breach of contract by overcharging me for an auto loan. The contract that was signed at the dealership was for a specific amount, however Truliant added $150.00 to that amount stating that I didn't provide them with insurance information. The insurance was transferred from my previous vehicle and was provided to the dealership AND PUT ON THE CONTRACT!!! I also received a letter from them stating they needed the information and to go online to a website they provided to do that so they wouldn't attach the charge. I did that on 9/22/23. My November payment had the charge on there. I called as soon as I got a late payment letter. They told me they added their insurance because I failed to provide them my insurance binder but they had received the online form. I was told it was not their responsibility to reach out to State Farm to get the information but she would remove the insurance and it would reflect in 15-20 business days!!!! In the meantime, my account that it is late. I have paid early on every payment and sent in extra money in November. I then took the paperwork to the Winston-Salem location to try to straighten it out and was told that I was responsible to make the payments to both my insurance and theirs because they don't have the binder. Therefore, I have no option but to hire an attorney to fight this. My credit is being ruined and they have 0 craps to give!

      That thier mission statement however it’s not true they don’t put members first when they put a system hold on a check n it cause a member more money on rent cause they rejected a rent payment when thier was enough funds there to cover the payment but because of thier system hold the cause more money now to for my rent payment this month not that they care.. how did they improve my life by costing me more money for rent… i have never had a rent payment rejected in my life I have never had insufficient funds in this bank or any bank but because of thier system hold which showed a positive balance after it posted they rejected the rent payment which is now costing me an additional 85$ in rent this month how is that putting members first and improving my life …beware if this bank run the other was cause they don’t care about the members …

Unfortunately, your deposit was not made in enough time to clear your check. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We recommend bringing cash or checks inside your local Truliant branch for time-sensitive deposits. Although branch deposits are also subject to a hold, the hold times may be shorter if you bring the physical check to a teller for deposit. We understand the importance of timely access to funds and appreciate your concerns.

      *BEWARE*
      FALSE ADVERTISING ON CD RATES.
      I went to Truliant with the expectation of opening a business account and taking advantage of a 6.25% CD rate they were offering for "new money".

      I visited their office on Tuesday and was told no one could help me without an appointment so I made an appointment for the following day. When I arrived, they had no record of my 4:00 appointment but found someone to assist me nonetheless.

      I informed her that I was there to open an account and to write a check from a local "competing institution" and bring in "new money" for their 6.25% CD promotion. She seemed hesitant and said "she didn't think she could do that"... I asked why and she said this is not for businesses, unless you were a current customer. I re-informed heavily was there to open a business account and then deposit new money.
      She said she could not do that, but could offer me "other" CD's at a much lower rate.

      I informed her that there was absolutely no restrictions posted on their website or the promotional marketing materials preventing new businesses from participating in this CD promotion.

      I also told her after wasting my time on 2 visits that this was certainly a 1 star experience and that I would be informing potential customers of the false advertising I felt they were engaged in.

      I certainly would discourage doing business with Truliant. Very disappointed in the entire experience.

      I have been a member for over 20 years along with several other family members. I purchased a vehicle over a year ago and like all my auto loans, I decided to not shop any other lenders, went with Truliant. There was a delay in getting the title from the dealer to Truliant, no problem, filled out a form, set up my payment for auto draft, all is well. Until almost a year later, I get a letter stating my auto payment is 30 days past due. I immediately checked & discovered that because Truliant has still not received the title my interest rate has went disgustingly high & that overage is not drafted automatically with my loan payment, showing my payment not satisfied. I called to try to clear this up & was told there was nothing that could be done & if the overage wasn’t paid it would go against my credit, so I paid. I was sent new forms to sign to clear this up to prevent the same issue from reoccurring & made several phone calls to follow up, I was given no helpful information. I also sent a message via the website to please have a manager or title specialist at their earliest convenience to reach out with information as to what needed to be done to resolve this. I am currently facing another over due payment & have heard nothing. I have reached out to the dealer where the vehicle was purchased, which was more than willing to look into the matter & has communicated regularly. Common knowledge is that most of the time the borrower is never sent the title, in my case this is true. I have never been in possession or seen the title to the vehicle but I am being forced to pay a penalty for something that is out of my hands. I have been more than understanding & willing to do whatever needs to be done to clear this up, I have not received the same treatment in return from Truliant. This is absolutely unsatisfactory & not at all what I expected.

      Used to be a great place to bank with great people. Now it is absolutely horrid customer service on the phone. Changed the deposit policy with no notice, now they hold all checks for days. I work the same times they are open so I cannot bank in person. After many years I am going to have to reconsider my financial options. I now hate this credit Union because they imply that their depositors are using bad checks. They have these peoples info, so why are we who are good people who do good buisness being penalized unfairly? Because they no longer care about their members, or their financial health. Guy at customer service didnt have any good answers, just tried to pass the buck to another department. I will be looking at other financial institution options asap.

      Sounds like you have a bunch of criminals for customers trying to defraud you. Why can those not be dealt with, as you know who is depositing these fraudulent items? Just make us all suffer because of some bad actors that you know who they are. Sounds about right in this day and time.

      I have banked here for 20+ years. I used to love Truliant. They had great customer service and always went out of the way to help customers.
      Over the past year, something has changed. I recently had an issue with a loan. Their collections guy was rude and told me they do not offer hardship options anymore. I've had past loans and they did have hardship options. I contacted member services and they were not very helpful.
      It makes me sad that what was once a great bank has changed so drastically.

      Please do not bank here. I have had my account with Truliant for years and I used to love where I bank. Now I will be going somewhere else. I have deposited my bi-weekly checks from my new job since February through their mobile app. I have no choice since my place of employment does not currently offer direct deposit. I have done this for months, this week however I was hit with a 5 day hold on my check. I can understand if something was out of the ordinary or if it was a large amount, but this was a regular check signed by the same person as always, same amount and deposited the same time like always. I called customer service to inquire about why this occurred. The woman over the phone has no idea what was going on or how to give me a correct answer. I waited on the phone for 40 minutes just to be on hold the entire time so she could get in contact with someone else who might be able to help. She also mentioned to me that “if I do not have the available balance that is equal to the amount of the check already in my checking account, Truliant usually puts a hold on the check.” I have never had this issue come up for the past 7 months I have been depositing my checks.. Later in the conversation she mentioned to me that the check should be deposited that same day no problem. I said great, waited and it still never cleared. I have never had this issue before, and I am being told information that is incorrect. I cannot contact anyone after 5pm and it is frustrating. I have bills to pay, I have to buy food to eat, I understand if this may be a new policy but if that’s the case, just tell me. Truliant seems to only care about their name and buying a new sign on a tower located in Winston Salem, rather than helping their customers. This isn’t professional. I’ve worked in the banking field before and when you do, you try to do all you can to help your “members” or at least you do when you do it right. Will not be banking here anymore. Just not worth the waste of time.

      As of recently I liked Truliant, but because of one mistake they have put my account on definite hold. Most banks allow a mistake and not hold your account hostage over it. If I didn’t have this loan with you, I promise I will never deal with you again.

      trualiant is not abiding by the regulation e policy their disclosure states they are supposed to refund fraud on accounts within 48-72 hours yet they are trying to make me wait 14 days before I get a provisional credit violating the policies they say they stand on, this is company worth over 4billion dollars who are not abiding by regulation e polices nor are they abiding by their own personal policies, this is company that has taken money from my account then denied it for the same transaction 2 weeks in a row, some of these banks will not abide by policy because they are paying everyone to not correct the issue from the commissioner to bbb, they are quick to become a bank that allows fraud on your account and nothing is being corrected
