      Poor Customer Service, I've had account 20+ years with Truliant and it's obvious that Customer Service is not a priority anymore, I will be moving my accounts to a credit union that wants my business. If you are looking to get a loan PLEASE look elsewhere because they are not the ones to deal with. Just this week I was penalized for making extra payment on my loan- When i contacted them the response i received was- Don't make extra payments. They are not there to help you get out of debt........i guess not since that's what they are there for to make sure hard working ppl stay in debt.

      I switch to this credit union and it has been a headache! I deposit my first check and they put it on hold for two weeks even though the email I received said deferent. I am ok with a hold but two weeks. So I said fine can I make an appointment for that day and “Jessica” said they can’t make appointments that for out. Think about that they will hold your payroll check longer than they can give you an appointment for! This is not except-able! How can someone pay their bills, buy groceries etc with a two week hold on a printed payroll check! I will be closing this bank, it is not for the working man! I am glad I didn’t close my previous bank account with another bank! I will take my business back elsewhere! I will definitely warn others!

We understand that you may be experiencing some difficulty with the hold policy on checks deposited during the first 30 days of membership. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
      While we do have stricter guidelines for new members, please note that these guidelines will begin to soften after the initial 30 days of membership. Unfortunately, we are unable to release any holds at this time. However, we would like to suggest that you contact your employer to have them send the funds via direct deposit. This will allow the funds to be available to you immediately.

      I acquired a car loan with Truliant and is been more than 40 days and I have not yet receive my car loan documents! I have called and go into the branch and nothing has worked! I am not satisfy at all with their operations! They are not been transparent and not showing values.

      Truliant refused to issue refunds for overdraft fees after they sent my new debit card to the wrong address which delayed the time I could make a point of sale deposit due to the current card being expired. I had overdraft protection previously and it mysterously disappeared from my account. They said neither of this issues were Truliant problems. As I was 700 miles away from the nearest branch I could not obtain a card in person to correct this. I was also told this was not a Truliant problem.

      I use to think of Truliant as a great banking institution till I was hurt and out of work they denied me the protection insurance that I purchased with auto loan then locked my auto loan will not accept my payments unless I catch up my other loans that I have with them. Before I was ever behind on my loans I tried and to get them to work with me I spoke with the same guy every time and he told me that they would not work with me period.

      Bad customer service!! Me and a cosigner with good credit, and two good incomes and still can't get financed they're full of it. I will never apply with them again.

      This is the worst banking institution I have ever dealt with - I had an auto loan with them and took my account off autopay a year ago and all of a sudden they take two payments from my external institution and could not explain what happened - they finally refunded the money back but to my savings account with them and not the bank they stole it from. After that it appeared my next payment was past due when I had already paid it two weeks prior to them taking money from me that was not authorized. I have paid off my loan and closed all of my accounts with them. Your money is not safe in this bank and the people working there know absolutely nothing!!

      I recently applied for a personal loan to help my father get some HVAC repairs done because we are heading into the summer season. I was denied by this company due to fraud even through I provided Two paystubs and my ID. The supervisor told me I had to visit a local branch of the company to have it sorted. The only problem is I live in Ohio and my nearest branch is located in lower Virginia. I have told my loan representative that I would like to close over email but they insisting me coming into a store is unreasonable. On top of all that they wouldn’t tell me why I was suspected of fraud. Terrible experience coming from a first time customer.

When loan applications and membership applications are submitted, we have to review all the documentation along with any supporting documents for the protection of our members. In some cases, it will require that you visit a branch, in person, in order for us to make an informed decision on the application. For your protection, we asked that you visit a branch in reference to your request for a loan. Due to the distance from your nearest Truliant branch, we understand why you were not able to accommodate this request. Unfortunately, we are unable to honor your request for a loan without an in-person visit to a branch.       This bank is a joke. They do not help its members. I had money deposited from a payday loan and I never seen it hit my account. It kept saying pending but was never posted. You can't even get a loan through this bank but yet they say it's easy. They will take your money. I've should have known to not join once I seen their headquarters was based in Winston Salem. Don't bank with them. Go to a different credit union.

      Truliant has REALLY fallen from grace..I just got off the phone with member services..It's the worst experience in banking I have EVER experienced..I now see why they are always hiring . Where did they get these people from..I asked to speak with a Manager and was told ALL of them are in meetings..I'm done with Truliant !!!!
