This banks customer service is ridiculous! You have to call several times to get anything done and their staff is rude! Had a payment done and it was more than it should of been, we'll had to call them and then my bank to fix...a few days later the same payment went to my bank again. They said it automatically tries it 2x. It shouldn't do that! Now the account is negative that amount because they can't automatically fix it...you have to wait for it to reset itself! Never had this much trouble ever!First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO)

We appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention and you may rest assured they have been shared appropriately. In most situations, if a payment is returned due to insufficient funds, we will automatically make a second attempt to withdraw the payment on the same business day we are notified of the return. If this second attempt is returned, no additional attempts will be made. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any other questions or concerns, you can always give us a call at 888-530-3626, or submit a secure message after logging into your account from our full site.Review fromYvonne M

I have banked with FNBO for over 25 years. I find the Electronic Billpay to be terrific. The Current nightmare, is that the IT Dept. is changing the Web Application design & new design is horrible. Industry Standard Account Register contains 8 fields;
Date; NUM/EBP; Payee-Description; Category[mortgage, grocery, utility]; Cleared; Withdrawal; Deposit-Credit; Balance. The Programmers now only provide 3 fields!!!
Date; Payee; & SHOVED into 1 field, is Credits & Debits & Balance. So credit/debit is in 1 field & below is BALANCE !!! NIGHTMARE to read. They decided to make the Deposit, in Green with a [+] sign. like that helps. For people who are color blind; & 75% men in USA are blue / green colorblind; this col. appears only to be BLACK. They did not get ANY Customer Feedback before starting & want none now. They do not have all code completed for Function [Transfers, BillPay, etc] so MUST go back to OLD web. At 1st, FNBO put a red bell on top bar on NEW, click on that & took old. Last couple days, they REMOVED the bell; probably cause too many going to old cause works & is 100% better. WHAT are customers supposed to do now??? Bank provides ZERO info to Cust. So now, customers MUST CALL CUST SERVICE to ask NEW WAY to get to OLD Website. When log-in, 1 is taken to new; where 1 can do ZERO and must go to old.
FNBO Needs Provide All Customers an "OPT-OUT USING NEW" and only provide those customers the old, perfectly working software. If there are cust. who want use new & put up w/all this frustration; fine; they can. Maybe all unhappy customers should move our $$$ to new bank that respects its customers and provides great software to use. The BANK is messing with peoples' $$$ and that ALWAYS is mistake. IT Dept, that adhers to ZERO Programming Standards needs be fired. The New Design is not well thought out & very frustrating to TRY & use.
Customers need HELP ! ! !First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO)

If I could give this bank a 0 rating for the credit card service, I would. I dealt with many people about a double charge for over 1 1/2 years. Many different explanations of what was going on were given to me by disputes personnel, supervisors, and investigations personnel over the years Each month when the disputed amount would come up on my card, I would call to find out why. I finally was told that I didn't owe that charge (it was never taken out of my automatic withdrawal in all this time). Finally, last month I was assured that I didn't owe the charge so I cancelled the card. This month the charge was withdrawn from my bank account. I will tell everyone I know that you need to make sure that this bank never handles your credit card.First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO)

I had a fraudulent transaction while traveling and the company would not help by keeping the card active until the new card could be sent. Seemed like a simple request. Total frustration while dealing with this bank. I will discontinue susing this card and this bank.
I would not recommend.First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO)

We appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. If we are notified of unauthorized charges on an account, it is important that we close the compromised card down and have a new card number issued to prevent further unauthorized charges. We do offer many card delivery options, such as the ability to send a card to an alternate address. Visa and MasterCard also provide services that can provide a temporary card number if you are stranded while traveling. If you have other questions about these services, you can always give us a call at 888-530-3626 or submit a secure message after logging into your account from our full website.Review fromJeff S

I have been with FNBO for 30 plus years. Overall, the banking side has been good to work with. However, the CREDIT CARD side is TERRIBLE. I love the terms of the card, but the service it absolutely horrid.
I pay off the card every month. NEVER carry a balance, never a late fee, never had any interest charged. But, I needed to charge a lot last month (I could have paid from my checking account, but wanted the 2% cash back so used the card) and went slightly over my limit. They stopped allowing charges for now. No problem, understood. So, I made a large payment from my FNBO checking account to my FNBO credit card. That's right, the SAME Bank!!! They seemed to have posted the payment as I now showed plenty of available credit (thousand of dollars available). I went to make a charge and it was declined. I called them, they said they were holding the payment for 10 more days. WHAT?? Why? They had no reason. Just said they could. I said YOU have the money, it's in YOUR bank!! I'm not asking you to post a payment from another bank. I'm asking you to move money from your left pocket to your right pocket. You HAVE the money!! There is NO logical reason for them to hold this. I had them talk to a MANAGER. No luck. We won't release the payment for 10 days. No reason given. The next day I called my local branch. They called the Credit card people. Guess what - they still would NOT release it!! Reason given - none. I DO NOT TRUST FNBO with my money. Who ever is making the decisions at the Credit Card department is irresponsible. To say the least. I was an excellent customer for them. I charged thousands of dollars a month, which makes them big $$ and I always paid them on time. They are making customer losing decisions and it's working. They lost me.First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO)

We're sorry to hear that our services have not met your expectations, and appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. This can happen regardless of the bank that the funding account is with, and we regret any inconvenience this may cause. I applied for a Myperks VISA FNBO. They sent me a letter requesting that I mail them a copy of my drivers license or state issued ID, copy of my signed social security card and two years of W2. When I called to see why they needed this information since I was already a card holder and when I applied for the Ford Pass credit card this information was not requested. They spoke with the Credit department and could give me no reason for the request. I said I was very concerned that sending this information through the mail could result in identity theft they simply repeated the person who reviewed the application needed the information but could not give me a reason why. The rep said he would put in the complaint and when I asked to speak with that department myself he said there was no phone number that he would email my complaint. I said to cancel the application because there was no way I was sending sensitive information to them in the mail.First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO)

I recently had a deeply unsatisfactory experience with FNBO (First National Bank of Omaha) in connection with my Sheels credit card. This ordeal left me with a sense of frustration and disappointment, and I feel it is essential to share my story to warn others about FNBO's unethical practices.
My ordeal with FNBO began when I noticed that they had charged my Sheels credit card account for a cash advance that I never authorized nor had any intention of requesting. As a responsible cardholder, I have always been diligent about reviewing my statements, and this discovery was nothing short of a shock.
When I reached out to FNBO's customer service to address this issue, I expected a prompt and fair resolution. Regrettably, the experience was quite the opposite. The customer service representatives I interacted with displayed a shocking lack of concern and a troubling inability to provide a satisfactory explanation for the unauthorized cash advance charges.
Even more concerning was FNBO's unwillingness to take responsibility for their error. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and rectifying it, they insinuated that I must have authorized the cash advance, despite my adamant denial and the lack of any supporting evidence on their part.
It is abundantly clear to me that FNBO's unethical actions, specifically their unauthorized cash advance charges, are a breach of trust and a disservice to their customers. This lack of transparency and accountability only serves to tarnish their reputation further.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly discourage anyone from engaging in any financial dealings with FNBO. Their unethical practices, such as charging for cash advances without authorization, demonstrate a clear disregard for their customers' interests and well-being. It is crucial to avoid FNBO and their services to spare yourself the frustration and inconvenience I had to endure.First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO)

I wish I could give it ZERO stars! I am beyond appalled that this fraudulent bank can still be in existence with their scams!!! I had an account with a partner who convinced me to open a secure card. I had no idea it was with FRAUDULENT National Bank of Omaha! They took my money then wanted to charge a fee to hold MY money. I said no! Please close the card account and return my money - it has been THREE YEARS and they refuse to return it. I have had calls and emails with numerous Execs (even the scammer President reads the emails). NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO ENDURE THIS ABUSE TO GET THEIR MONEY BACK! Secure? What a joke? How do they get away with scamming consumers. RUN FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO)

No one is sorry about anything - met my expectations?!?!?! Stealing money??? That is your insulting response?!?!? Took the time - I have devoted hours and hours! Your CEO read my message and did nothing! SCAMMERS!!!Review fromAmelia L

I've set up the AUTO DEBIT NUMEROUS TIMES with FNBO customer service representatives in $ that I owe. Ive been a customer for many years! On your side that has only happened a handful of times. The other payments I've made due to that fact that the monthly payment is not following through with the representatives that I've spoken with regarding this situation. Debating my checking account twice each time a month so it shows that it is payed ones that I have agreed on,which I made myself, then the payments the FNBO will randomly debit the same amount after the representatives have said it won't happen again. It continues to happen!!! I've spoken to yet another rep this a.m. taking the auto debit off. Its a shame how I've agreed in doing this from the start yet this company isn't following through with the agreements that were made.First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO)

We're sorry to hear that our services do not meet your
expectations, and appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our
attention. We would like to take a moment to address some of the concerns that
you have brought up.
When enrolling in AutoPay, it will not take effect until
your account has gone through a complete billing cycle. This means that, if you
have a payment due for the current payment due date, payment will need to be
made via another method. Once AutoPay is active on your account, a note will be
included on your monthly statement that includes the date and amount of the
automatic payment.
If your account is enrolled in AutoPay, any additional
payments that post during the billing cycle, and at least 3 business days
before the payment due date, will be deducted from the amount of your automatic
payment. If a payment posts to the account 3 business days or less before the
payment due date, it will not have an impact on the AutoPay amount because we
are already in the process of withdrawing the automatic payment.
If you have any other questions or concerns, you can always
give us a call at 888-530-3626, or submit a secure message after logging into
your account from our full website, and our Specialists will be happy to help.
