If you are a non customer cashing a check at this bank, they charge a fee even though the check came from a business they supply bank checks for.

Paid my bill and still will not allow me to use my card. Payment wasn’t late. They have removed the funds from my account as of March 29, well before the due date. Funds are in their hands. Yet they refuse to allow usage of my card till April 9. No excuse was given as to why, just that they have the right. I have rights also and I have cancelled this card. FNBO is using terroristic acts on their customers. They will hold your income as hostage to make you ply to their way. Helluva way to treat an American.

Awful and Deceptive practices! FNBO deliberate in hiding individual promotional balances when paying on line. If I had allowed paperless ... would be far worse. They do not allow payment to balance of your choice. They attempt to confuse in order to collect back dated interest for 18 mos on a zero interest promotion. I paid off all my balance 3 months early to prevent them from this trickery ! I will NEVER use them again ! I suggest all avoid do any business with such a finacial predator!

Jeffrey, we appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. We do not back-date interest on promotional offers. If a promotional rate expires, only the remaining balance will be subject to interest at your purchase interest rate. While we do not allow a customer to request a payment go to a specific category on their account, all payments are applied to the account in the manner listed in your Cardmember Agreement. For any further questions or concerns about how payment is applied for your account, you can always call us at 888-530-3626, or submit a secure message after logging into your account from our website.

Opened a HELOC with this company many years back. They decided to close the account with no forewarning. Obviously this effected my credit and destroyed the chance at a closing on a home. Spoke with the branch manager, Ashley Green and was told, nothing will be done to remedy the situation. Recommend using another bank

Be careful with FNBO. We had a fraudulent use of our card due to our dental provider getting hacked, and they held us responsible for 3 charges that we did not make for guns in Oregon. We do not own any guns, nor do we give out our card to anyone. We protect our information and have a freeze on all the major credit companies. Yet they still hold us responsible. We will pay it because they know a lawyer will cost us more than the amount. Being elderly we do not have the income to throw away and they had my wife in tears. They said they would look into for another 48 hours. so we wait, but I am not hopeful. This is way we will be canceling our Scheels card that is using FNBO and I will be talking to Scheels as well, suggesting them to change. Not that they will care. Glad we only set a $1000.00 limit no the card. As soon as we received the email about the fraud, we cancelled the card. Never had this issue with my other cards.

I closed my Visa accont in December 2023 since they started billing an annual fee for the card.
I am still billed for the annual fee of $99 plus interest for January and February.

First National Bank of Omaha has been excellent both in the handling of my account and the cash rewards I receive from my credits card. Their on-line Banking is so easy to use and monthly payment reminders are sent via email or Text message. They keep me apprised of charges that are questionable to ensure that it was I who agreed to the charge.
They confirm all deposits and payments due at the end of each month making it easy.

I WAS a longstanding credit card customer with First National Bank of Omaha, with zero late or missed payments. FNBO canceled my credit card account due to inactivity without ANY notification. I learned of this through my Credit Bureau monitoring Equifax notification AFTER the closure of my credit card account with FNBO. POOR business practice and was told by FNBO when I called to inquire upon receipt of the Equifax report (the same day) that "You may reapply for a new credit card." If FNBO does not want my business and closes my credit card account without notice then I certainly do NOT want to be a FNBO customer and would advise others of the same. FNBO's motto is "more than 165 years of putting customers first." Well, I certainly beg to differ and could not disagree more, do not walk but run from this organization!

FNBO customer service is nothing more than telemarketers that can not help the customer. I have been unable to change my pin to my atm for over a month. They said it was an issue they are trying to fix, but wouldn't even call me to give updates. I have to physically go to a branch to take money out!! The bank has gone downhill tremendously in the last year. Shoddy banking at best!
