Received a l’late payment’ notice so I decided to Contact PM to get details about my mother’s policy..(ie coverage) my call was transferred 4 times back and forth to the same females (Brooke & Annette) Brooke saying her system was down she needed to transfer the call to someone else..Annette. Annette verifies my info only to tell me she needed to transfer the call to someone else ..not realizing she had transferred the call back to herself. Then she tells me Brooke was suppose to take my call. Then I explained that Brooke was the agent that told me her system was down and needed to forward the call to someone else. what the hell was that?!?? I say “scam” and thank god, I received the notice otherwise my mother would still be making payments for god knows what… PM would still be taking her mother for some BS policy.Physicians Mutual Insurance Company

We apologize for your experience. Although extremely rare, we had a system outage at that time. Our representatives transferred you in hopes of finding someone whose system might have been working. As it turns out, no one could access the necessary information until the system came back up. We resumed normal service that same day. We hope our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and our 121-year history help assure you that was not the normal service experience. Had them for over a year. The dentist recommended a “deep cleaning” & never had one claim, physician’s mutual refused to cover one penny towards the cost !!!Physicians Mutual Insurance Company

I have been with Physicians' Mutual Insurance Company for the last ten years. All of my experiences with them have been positive. I personally feel they are the best supplemental insurance company out there, and I highly recommend them, not only because they are fair, but also because they take care of their clients.Physicians Mutual Insurance Company

Physicians Mutual has paid all of my Medicare supplement claims as promised. I have not had any problems with the company. It probably helped that my agent carefully explained the details of the policy so there was no misunderstanding.Physicians Mutual Insurance Company

PM is the worst insurance company that I have ever dealt with. We have been paying premiums for 4 years for dental coverage. Cleanings and x-rays were the only thing covered for the first year. My wife just had $12,000 worth of work done. She had an upper plate, lower partial, 2 teeth pulled, and 5 crowns. All told, we are being reimbursed around $1,600. This company is a complete joke. I spent hours on the phone trying to get explanations, but all I get is the run around, and never the same answer from anyone. Tried to cancel the insurance over the phone, and was told I would have to submit in writing. Last insurance mistake for me. I will payout of pocket for services. If you had a pretreatment estimate and benefits were not paid accordingly, please let us know. Wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing at retirement. Agent, no surprise, was extremely convincing and when discussing the "high deductible plan" vs "no deductible with higher monthly premium the math worked out the same. What he failed to tell me was the excessive increases I would face with Physician's Mutual. Over the last five years I've gone from $**** annual deductible to $**** and monthly premium from $** to $**. Also purchased an annuity HSA. That's disappearing at an alarming rate. I would run from this company. Thankfully I never signed up with the Dental Insurance. My dentist will not accept them and their premiums are, as health plans, excessive and pay little. Check with Delta coverage on Dental. And it does not matter what you say....they always come back with "120 year history" and they will always be in the clear justifying every calculated move. There was VERY little transparency when signing up for this policy.Physicians Mutual Insurance Company

We are sorry to hear you are not pleased with your plan. The $***** deductible you are referring to is set by Medicare and became effective 01/01/2023 for the calendar year. That deductible applies to all High Deductible Plan F, G and J policies, regardless of the insurer. To learn more about how Medicare calculates that deductible, please visit them at www.CMS.gov. Regarding rate increases, we review our overall claim costs to determine if a rate increase is necessary due to the rising cost of health care and the annual changes in Medicare’s deductibles and co-payment amounts – no person is singled out.
We have great news to share with you regarding our dental plans. Although you have the option to use one of the many providers in the network, which has equated to over $***,000,000 in savings for our customers, you are not restricted to the network. So, if a dentist will not file the claim for you, customers can simply submit the claim to us so we can pay benefits directly to them. I have never received my contract nor my dental insurance cards. I have requested these three times but still have not received them. Each time my mailing address was verified and it was correct. There is no reason why this wouldn't have reached me. They said to check with my post office. Done. They have nothing. I can see where maybe one time could happen but three times, no of course not. The last time I called I had an extended phone conversation with your representative. She said that definitely they will resend immediately. Never happened. Never received. This has to be something wrong on your end not mine because you have the right address. Someone is not doing their job. I need a contract to look at not just your initial advertisement that in fact I am still receiving from you so if that is coming why not my contract and cards.Physicians Mutual Insurance Company

Normally, documents are generated through our administration system, given the number of requests we fulfill. In your case, it appears you are set up for electronic delivery. Thus, each request initiated was made available online through My Account. You are welcome to view your documents online but we will change your default delivery preference to mail unless you notify us otherwise. I have been paying premiums for over 5 years !! Premiums total over $**** . Now that I need to use my dental insurance you will only pay $*** on a $**** dental bill !! I wish now I had read all complaints against you in BBB site .You are legalized crooks !!! I canceled my policy today !! Spoke to a Terri . Wil you refund part of my premiums & am on fixed income !! How can you people live with yourselves???Robbing senior citizens of their fixed income .I will tell everyone run away when you hear Physicians Mutual !!!! They will rob you !!!! I am very disappointed with Physician Mutual Dental Insurance . They are very good to collect monthly payments but when you file a claim they deny or pay penny on a dollar.

Suck! My mother has had Physician's Mutual Insurance for dental insurance since July 1, 2020. Since then she has spent out of pocket $7300. PMI covered a little over $400! They continue to come up with issue after issue to not paying their claims, seeking more information and giving the runaround. Today was the day; I cancelled the policy. Nothing but scammers! Shame on these robbers. Plan on a 30 minute wait to talk with a customer service rep. My suggestion: Run as fast as you can away from this company! Regardless of the plan she selected, we would have provided a schedule of benefits showing the maximum amounts payable for over 350 covered services.
