I am filing this complaint regarding Milan Laser Hair Removal's failure to provide timely and consistent service at their Rockford location. Despite paying a significant amount of money for their services, the company has not upheld its commitment to scheduled procedures due to ongoing staff availability issues.
I have been informed that I could travel to a different location which is an hour out of my way to receive treatment. This is unreasonable and inconvenient, especially considering that I specifically chose Rockford site for its proximity and accessibility.
At this point, there will be a gap of about 5 months between my last appointment and the next one available which could potentially be rescheduled as well due to staffing issues. This delay is completely acceptable for a business of this size and reputation, particularly given the high cost of their service packages.
I am requesting a resolution of appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and service disruption.Business Response

Thank you for your recent attempts to contact me regarding my concerns.
I want to clarify that I have made several attempts to return your calls; however, each time I have been left on hold for several minutes without anyone answering. Due to my work schedule, I am unable to continue waiting on hold during the day, and I am not in a position to receive personal calls while at work.
For this reason, I am choosing not to opt into receiving return calls. If you would like to address my concerns, I ask that we continue communication via SMS or email, which is the most reliable and convenient method for me.
Thank you for your understanding.Business Response

I NEED MY CONTRACT WITH MILAN LASER CANCELLED ASAP. THEY’RE TRYING TO SEND ME TO COLLECTIONS FOR SERVICES/ SESSIONS I DID NOT RECIEVE. On 6/20/2024 I went to Milan laser for a free consultation in Sioux Falls, SD. ******* was so pushy. And she was so insistent that the treatments would give permanent results, I went in not planning on signing anything or committing. During the consultation the girl practically shoved her ipad in my face with the contract. I wanted time to think but she was so insistent with promos and offers. Im also a young adult and I felt pressured to sign the contract. they cancelled my appointments and when i would try to reschedule they wouldn’t respond. and now i’m left with thicker hair and dark spots. During the time i didn’t go and didn’t get treatments, Milan laser still continued and has been trying to charge the card I have on file multiple times a week and adding late fees for sessions I NEVER received. It was at that moment that I knew they were a pyramid scheme. It was clear they wanted the progress to be lost so they could make more money from more sessions. That’s how they get you to keep paying and going in, by cancelling your appointments. And also their billing is absolute garbage, they would purposely charge my card on the wrong dates so they could add on late fees. And I just don’t understand why they charge for sessions I didn’t receive. I feel very victimized and taken advantage of by Milan laser. They’re so predatory and all they care about is money and hitting their quota.Business Response

I signed a contract with Milan Laser Hair Removal in October of 2023. I was told laser hair removal would remove my chin and neck hairs even though they are blonde. I signed the contract after being told this treatment will work for me and if not then there is a money back guarantee. I had treatments, every 5 weeks since I signed. I started with about 3-5 hairs that were a problem on my chin. After many treatments it was becoming worse. The hairs are more dense and I have countless new follicle growths. Its terrible, almost a full beard. The nurse working asked if it was getting better and I said “no, its actually so much worse, I have to shave my chin twice a day now.” She told me that I should have never been signed up because the hairs are blonde. I went to Bengtson Center for Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery for a second opinion. The nurse there said I need to demand a refund. She told me that the lasers they use multiple my hair follicles and will never work on my blonde hairs. They made my condition worse and I am owed a full refund. I have never missed a payment and the only “refund” I got was for $206. I should be refunded over $2,000. This is ruining my face and made it worse. I have attempted to contact the clinic manager but she keeps saying she will call me and never does. This has been going on for over a month now. I called the loan company (Allegro Credit/Synchrony Bank) and they said to contact the clinic manager. I have emailed and called and she does not get back to me. My face now has red bumps and the hair growth is out of control. My login now longer works for Allergo Credit because they canceled my account so I cant get on to see my full amount paid but it was close to $2,200. Over the phone the manager did tell me that I will be getting a full refund for my amount paid but now they are saying I only get $206. She said she would contact the payment department but that was a week ago and I have not heard back.Business Response

On Thursday March 20th 2025 I did a consultation with ****** at the Milan Laser in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. She was very personable, and explained the process and the reasoning. She let me know that there was one session that I could try and then if I was not satisfied I could cancel before I continued with more sessions. I would also like to note that the free area that I was supposed to get in my session was not done however she said we would rectify it in my next sessions. I was told I had until before my first payment April 19th to cancel.
I did my first session Saturday March 29th 2025. The service was great and I had no complaints. However, due to unforeseen expenses I knew that I needed to cancel. I contacted ****** through text on April 16th 2025 to say that I would not be continuing and cancelled any following appointments. She said that she would be able to process a refund come May 1st. I followed up on May 11th to no response, then again on May 13th. On Friday the 19th of May she confirmed that it was cancelled and to ignore the messages that I was getting.
Today, May 20th, Covered Care, the lender that they were working with said they had no record of my cancellation from Milan Laser. Covered Care also said they had no record of me saying that I wanted to cancel when, during my conversation with them on March 29th I said that it was likely that I was not continuing as I had gotten some information that day. They said in order for that to be honored Milan had to call them. Fast forward to today and there is no record of that conversation in my file. Additionally, they now said that they would have to reach out to Milan to confirm I cancelled which happened over a month ago at this point.
A month and some days later (today May 20th) ****** is now on vacation and when I told her that there was no information and they had no record. At this point there is not resolution in sight, with almost six weeks from my request to Milan.Business Response

I purchased a prepaid laser hair removal package from Milan Laser but have not received a single treatment. I have attempted to schedule appointments at three different locations — Bloomingdale, Clearwater, and Westshore — and have consistently been told that there is no availability for weeks or months. Most recently, I was informed that the earliest opening at Bloomingdale is not until August, which is more than three months away.
I have contacted Milan Laser several times, both locally and through their general support line, but have not been provided with any realistic options for timely service. Since the treatment schedule is a critical part of laser hair removal efficacy and I have not received any sessions, I am requesting a full refund.
This is not a case of changing my mind — it is a matter of Milan Laser failing to provide the service I paid for. I am seeking a full refund for services not rendered.Business Response

On September 5th 2023 I went to Milan laser hair removal for a free consultation. They gave me a courtesy treatment. The worker went over plan and prices. I told her price was not in my budget. That I couldn't afford it nor could commit to any plan. Well on Friday May 16, 2025 I get a letter from synchrony credit company that my monthly payment changed to $121. This was a total shock to because I never committed to this. They have been drafting $175 monthly since 2023. It was done without my consent. I have various accounts with synchrony that are auto draft. Bank statement doesn't read Milan, only Synchrony. I had no idea this was happening. I contacted both companies and they couldn't help. They were tossing me back and forth with one another. I'm requesting a full refund of $3306. I absolutely had no treatments with Milan only the courtesy one. Last draft way April 21, 2025 for $175. This way too much money that I need it back in my account. As I am disabled and on a severely tight budget. My deductible alone is $2000 that I can't even afford to pay to Medicare. Please assist me in resolving this matter.
Sincerely *************Business Response

I am submitting this complaint due to the abrupt closure of my local Milan Laser Hair Removal office and the lack of response from Milan’s corporate team.
I had an active service contract with Milan Laser when the office I attended unexpectedly closed. Since the closure, I have not been contacted with any information about rescheduling treatments, transferring my services to another location, or receiving a refund. I have made multiple attempts to reach out to Milan via phone and email, but I have received no response.
I paid in advance for services that I can no longer access through no fault of my own. The company has not fulfilled their obligation to provide the treatments I purchased, nor have they offered a reasonable alternative or compensation.
At this point, I am requesting that Milan Laser cancel my contract and issue a refund for the unused portion of my services. I also ask that they improve their customer service and communication protocols to ensure other clients are not left in similar situations.Business Response

******* Hamler became a client of Milan Laser Hair Removal on September 28, 2024, when they participated in a free consultation. I had a consultation on May 12, 2025. I paid $2376.00 for life time laser hair removal on my underarms. I felt a pressured to sign the contracts and didn't have enough time to really think it through. I split the payment in cash and card but paid in full on the day of. My underarms don't have much hair at all so I don't think that the price I'm paying is worth it. I haven't had any sessions yet and I really want to be refunded.Business Response

On 3/26/25 i signed up for a membership with Milan Laser in Durham, NC in person after a consultation. On 3/28/25 i called requesting to cancel as i decided it was not a service i needed after some time to think. I spoke with the call center who advised me that a request for cancellation would be submitted to the manager and regional sales manager for this location. They stated they understood the reason for cancellation and had no problem with my need to cancel. I called on 4/2/25 and reached a representative at the call center who advised me that she was also submitting the request to the manager and regional sales manager. I called again on 4/7/25 and spoke with ****, the assistant manager of the Durham location, who advised me the same as the prior two calls and told me to be on the lookout for a call from Omaha Nebraska, and that i will be notified once it has processed. She said it may take a few weeks to resolve. I noted that my first payment would be due on 4/25/25 and wanted to ensure this could be handled before then. She wasn’t able to confirm, but stated i will get a refund for the payment when it comes out. After still not hearing back, i called again on 4/23/25 and an agent at the call center transferred me to the clinic, but to a provider and not the clinic manager. The provider advised she was unable to assist me and to call back. I called again on 5/2/25 and was told by the call center that again, another email would be sent to the manager and regional sales manager for cancellation. After still not hearing back, i called again on 5/8/25 and the call center connected me with **** at the clinic again after confirming the request to cancel was submitted a month prior. **** stated she didn’t know why i hadnt heard back, the request was never submitted, but she was able to. She said there is no timeline for resolution, if at all, and i “might” get a refund and “may” hear from the manager soon. This has now hit my credit because it wasn’t resolved timelyBusiness Response
