      Extremely unethical company! I strongly recommend self insurance versus dealing with this company. Trust me you will save money in the long run

      ******** TRASH of a company. Was offered a "policy " with our home sale and I filed a claim 5 days ago for our A/C and a technician has still not shown up. Their number goes to a call center full of people overseas, they have minimal problem solving skills and no access to any team leads. They keep insisting that someone will show up today between 8-5 per their system and it is AFTER 5. No one answers the supposed technician line that they gave me for ***** ( another low rate company) and on top of all of this they are still going to charge me $75 when and if the tech shows up!!!

      Not happy with lack of service, unable to reach a live person at Choice Home Warranties, AI platform they use stinks, was approved for claim last week, haven't heard back from tech or Choice regarding part status/ repair. I have been waiting on someone to return my call with status on my claim since last week. Been out of hot water since last week. I tried again today to reach both Choice and Home Defense Plumbing but was unable to reach both. The Choice APP is not working and website is is no of no help to me it lacks info I need on my claim status. I am very frustrated at this point with Choice Homes I will be replacing them once my claim is settled. I am unable to reach the service technician as well which is also frustrating. Lack of communication from both Choice and Home Defense is unprofessional.

      If I could, I would give a negative stars. I have been having issues with my central air conditioning, which was started in May. There has been 1 technician out, who said they no longer make the freon for my unit and it will need to be replaced, they also said that they do replacements. Apparently Choice Home Warranty did not like what they were saying, cancelled the service with that technician, and I've been waiting over a month to get another technician out. I have called CHW numerous times, and they keep saying that I'm on the priority list. If it's a priority then why is it taking so long? Its the middle of summer, extremely hot. I have animals and breathing problems. This is not ok.

      My AC Unit went out on July 5, 2025 and still waiting for the Contractor to receive the unit. I keep getting the run around saying they are waiting for a part. I have called and called. It has been 97 in my home. I should have stayed with the warranty company the previous owners had. I am not going to let this go. I will call my state representative for help.DDO WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. I WILL ALSSO DISPUTE WITH MY BANK

      Awful. Basically a scam. I thought it would be helpful as a new homeowner. No repair companies want to work with them so service takes forever. Not fun when you have a plumbing problem or when the ** goes out in July. Then once you have an estimate, they deny the claim. TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT PURCHASE. WASTE OF MONEY.

      Choice Home Warranty is not BBB accredited and for good reason. Thank God my 6 year plan with them is almost up. What a waste of money. Such a pain to work with. Not a straight forward Warranty company and definitely not in it to actually help the customer.

      Wish I could put a zero. They scam you and lie about the required repair and say you damaged your appliance and will NOT cover the repairs. My 29 year old ****** ** did not work and after waiting days for them to show up they stated the tech said I damaged the compressor. I have to replace the unit and the 3 companies that came out for price quotes stated the compressor is not damaged, just old. Choice did not want to pay to replace after being with them for 5 years and $2,000 later. Also, my toilet was leaking and the tech they sent out, days later, stated it was the turn off k*** needed to be replaced. He never came back for repair and I complained and they sent someone else. That tech reported to them that my 16 year old toilet was installed improperly. So, I had to get my own plumber and he laughed because there was nothing wrong with the toilet It was the water turn off k*** had to be replaced like their first tech stated. I called and told them what my plumber stated and they said they have to go by what their tech said. So two denials when it was normal wear and tear. Who are they sending out that are not qualified to know what is wrong with the appliances. Try calling them, they apologize and wish they could help you and when you try to cancel they beg you to stay and offer added coverage for free. NO WAY. They are a waste of money. Especially when you have to still hire plumbers and HVAC companies to repair what you paid Choice to repair. They scam you with all the promises of what they will do to maintain your appliances. When something breaks down they make up lies so they do not have to repair or replace. I want you to know I only used them a few times in 5 years and 3 of those times for the *** The repair people they send out, waiting days for them to come, are not reputable. They all come from ******** and no local repairmen. Do not waste your money with this company, run before even considering using them.

      Do not use this company, they do not provide the services that describe. They will not return your call or money. I placed a claim for a broker air conditioner and 5 days later I still havent received a decision from them. I live in ******* and the temperatures have reached 118 so I think there actions are criminal. Dont waste your money.

      I had a Choice Warranty for five years, but after they denied my claim, I canceled my membership. I've been experiencing water heater issues for over a year. They sent two technicians who claimed to have fixed the issue, but the tank started leaking again recently. Now, they claim the tank needs to be replaced, but they're denying it due to the tank's size. The warranty has expired, and I'm stuck with the bill. I feel ripped off. I've filed an appeal, but I haven't received a callback.
