1 starI am writing to formally request reconsideration of the recent claim denial for our HVAC system. This system has been operating since its original installation in 2005, which was approved by Duval County at that time. Upon reviewing Section C10 of the warranty terms, I find no mention of a restriction regarding mismatched indoor and outdoor units.Furthermore, we have had previous service calls on this unit that were approved by Choice Warranty, with all related repairs covered. If the current issue were considered a pre-existing or excluded condition, it should not have been approved in the past. Therefore, I believe the current situation should be viewed as normal wear and tear.Additionally, when we initially enrolled in Choice Warranty coverage, there was a one-month waiting period during which no pre-existing conditions were cited or communicated as disqualifying for future coverage.Review fromBarry M

1 starHad many issues with Choice Home Warranty getting our furnace and central air conditioning replaced. Found out today that Choice Home Warranty shorted the heating and air company $700 on our furnace purchase and installation. The company that installed our furnace is no longer working with Choice Home Warranty. Stay away from Choice Home Warranty and youll be glad you did. Its nothing but continuous frustration and hassles trying to submit a claim and getting the claim finalized.Review fromMatt C

1 starf there were a zero rating, it would be too high. First, my AC went out, I waited for 38 days to get it fixed, for some reason the part took 2 weeks to get from **********. When replaced and still did not work, the contractor told me that it was the wiring in my house (for some reason after 18 years of working fine). The warranty company said they did not cover that. So I had another company at my own expense come out and press the reset button, worked fine. I asked for a refund of the $90 service fee and Choice would not refund me, even though their contractor did not fix the issue and I had to hire another myself. Not to mention I had to purchase a portable unit due to the drawn out time frame. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY, they do not live up to their contractual obligations. They did not get my AC running again as they are contractually obligated to do so.Review fromJ. David C

1 starIf I could leave zero stars or negative stars for this review, I would. THIS COMPANY ENGAGES IN MISLEADING, SHADY, AND UNETHICAL MARKETING PRACTICES!Buyer beware: while the policy technically includes an auto-renewal policy (Section G of the policy), their marketing department sent me emails on April 1, 2025 (TWICE); April 17, 2025; and May 2, 2025 that included the following word-for-word phrases: "This email is a reminder to let you know that your policy is expiring," "Your Home Warranty is expiring soon and *** will no longer be able to help protect you from covered repair and replacement costs," "This email is a reminder to let you know that your policy is expiring," and "This email is a reminder to let you know that your policy is expiring." This is not only misleading, it's also unethical! It goes against the very language that they state in their official policies, and no disclaimer in their marketing materials makes any mention of this (no fine print, no footnotes, nothing). Thankfully, I noticed this within the first month of the auto-renewal, and I'm concerned that there are many other customers out there who are experiencing the same issue over longer periods of time. I requested a refund of these charges which was rejected by the manager with whom I spoke. Because I wasn't given any other alternative that suited my request (a refund of the auto-renewed charges), I'm now warning everyone of this shady, misleading, and unethical marketing practice.Review fromLorraine M

1 starBeen a member of *** since ************************************************************************** reimbursement. We'll this is not happening anymore. Made a claim for my washer in early April. Had the claim picked up but the company never showed up 3 different times. *** kept telling me they had to dispatch the claim again before getting my own repairman. Finally I did get the repair done through a company. Sent all documents. No reply from them. No one answering the phones. They ask you to leave your # and you are on the list for a call back. That never happened and used every # I could locate and the same recording. Then receive a notice that they would send me a check for $72. Never receive that though my service cost me $344. Later when I uploaded my receipts again I was sent a message telling me I was not eligible for reimbursement. I don't know what has happened to this company but this has been some mess. Needless to say it was nearly a.month before the work was done. However they had no problem sending me a late payment notice. What a laugh. (This is the short version)Review fromlisa B

1 starThis company is a rip off! They say they will cover things and they refuse it and you have to pay a $100.00 service fee to the company that they choose and then they refuse to fix the problem. I had my AC go out, the guy who came to fix it said I needed a thermostat. Choice denied it. Then when he put the thermostat it, it did not work. So he put back the old thermostat and it still didn't work. HE LEFT!!! It was not fixed and Choice would not pay. I had a friend come over and it was a fuss!! They did not fix it and Choice denied to pay for it. So, then my water was not working. I had a friend come over who was a master plumber. He told me it was the top of the well pipe that the pump was barely hanging on and it was a 2 man job. So I called CHOICE, they sent a guy that had never worked on a well. So I told him what it was and he said, oh okay, I can do that. (Thank God I had a master plumber come by). So he called CHOICE and they refused all work...............again. It was going to cost me over $900.00 and I am on disability. I was so upset and the technician knew this and literally told me to dump choice because they had a class act lawsuit against them. I joined it. Anyways, the technician felt so bad about how Choice was doing people? He fixed it anyways for free!!!!!! THANK YOU LORD! I dumped choice. The entire time I had them? They NEVER approved any work!!Review fromWilliam F

1 starDo not use this company. I am a Realtor and I buy a home warranty for all my Sellers and Buyers. The company that I used normally provided same-day service. Since my house little older I decided to go ahead and buy five year home warranty so I did not have to go out and compare companies each year. I ended up going with Choice. Big mistake. My air conditioner quit working so I file a work request. Choice set up an appointment three days from the date I filed the work order. I guess they do not consider no air conditioning in July in ******* a major inconvenience. I called and complained and they moved the appointment up one day. Choice had a company come from an hour and 1/2 away to work on my air conditioner. They set the appointment up from 8 AM to 5 PM. So another words I had to be here the entire day. The repairman showed up and fixed the problem. In talking to him, I found out that the unit was 22 years old. Five days later on July 4 the air conditioning went out again when I had friends in my house. I filed work order on July 5 a Saturday and I have yet to hear from Choice. I call them later that day and they asked me when I filed the work order, I said that morning, they said they would get back to me. I have yet to hear from Choice. The moral of the story is I should have checked the BBB rating of Choice before I went with them. I have not heard from them by tomorrow morning I will call and air conditioning company have my unit replaced and take Choice to court.Review fromMelvin A

2 starsMy experience with Choice Home Warranty has been nothing short of infuriating. Their claims process is riddled with opacity, miscommunication, and a complete lack of accountability.A recent claim I submitted was denied based on an alleged "water-damaged board"a claim that was never supported by any verifiable documentation. I was denied access to the contractors report that supposedly justified the denial, and all requests for transparency were met with vague, recycled responses from management. No photos. No evidence. Just a flat rejection.Whats even more troubling is that I had the unit inspected by an independent, licensed contractor shortly afterwardwho confirmed there was no water damage to any component. In fact, the board in question had been replaced and the system was working properly. Yet Choice refused to acknowledge this or even consider the findings of a qualified second ********** make matters worse, the original contractor sent by Choice charged me for a diagnostic visit but failed to provide any details, notes, or report at the time of service. I was left completely in the dark, with no insight into what he observed or documented. This is unacceptable when that very visit is used to deny a valid claim.Choice Home Warrantys approach feels designed to exhaust the customernot help them. The lack of transparency, refusal to provide documentation, and unwillingness to consider outside expert verification speaks volumes about their commitment to fair service. I strongly caution others considering this company: read the fine print, keep meticulous records, and be prepared to fight for every dollar you're owed.Review fromErnest H

1 starMy contract states that all components and parts are covered for our clothes washer and dryer. I filed a claim on my washer stating that during the drain cycle it malfunctioned and stopped draining. Based on a report from the technician about the component that failed, my claim was denied because Choice Home Washer has deemed this problem was not caused through normal wear and tear. I ask; how is it NOT through normal use that this component failed. Its an internal component in the water extraction system out of reach of the user.Common sense was not in use during these deliberations.Review fromPatrick F
