      I placed a claim on a Friday at 10:29 am for a water heater. After 3 days HWA issued me a technician who never showed up. He said HWA wouldn't pay him enough to do the job. HWA then assigned me another technician 2 days later. That technician also canceled stating HWA wouldn't pay him enough for the job. HWA gave me the option to hire my own technician and get paid back. I called 2 different plumbers who refused to do business with HWA as they said they are a scam, won't pay for the jobs, and unprofessional. I called HWA multiple times complaining and at no time did they do anything to help me. I asked them if I could buy the water heater myself since 2 technicians canceled and was told no. HWA would not do anything except say we're sorry for this inconvenience. Mind you it's January and single digits out and we have no hot water. HWA is one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever dealt with with the WORST customer service. How they are still in business is mind blowing.

      When I bought my home this warranty was given to us so I been with them for the past 6 years I lived in ********** ******** and temperatures are in the negative digits and feels like -25 outside so my furnace when out I called them 5 times no answer finally reached out to them made a claim they said somebody will contact you within 24 hours past the ************************************************* a manager from this company so I hired my own company to come and take care of the problem and now they are saying I need to wait 48 hours to go my own way when they first said it was 24 hours of my complain and they do not want to go forward with a claim reimbursement for my furnace can anybody help on what I can do next

      I thought they were going to cover my stove cooktop because there was a crack due to the stove high heat while being turned on. My technican said it was a pressure crack but it would be hard to prove and it should be covered. They sent me an e-mail while the technican was waiting for the request saying they didn't cover it. Talking about backstabbing their customer and not trusting their technican. I am assuming they think I broke it and pulled out a list of things that they don't cover. Make sure to remind your customers that when you sell you products. So much for paying $500+ yearly to have them cover my appliances and trusting their customers. Will never do business with these crooks again.

      HWA has done every. single. possible. thing. wrong. They are a scam pretending to be a real business.

      In addition to the $950/year for a plan, they charge an additional $100 to even look at your warranty claim. Over 3 years of having them, I paid over $3000 to them. In return, they paid me less than ~400 combined to cover a broken dishwasher, microwave, toilet, and A/C.

      Going into a 4th year, they raised their prices again, and reduced the limits they would cover on high-value items like heating and A/C. So, I opted to not renew my policy. I repeatedly informed them that I would not be renewing, and the reps assured me that I did not have to take any special steps, the policy would naturally end.

      However, ever since cancelling my policy, these scam artists then continued to charge me $70 monthly any way! I have disputed every charge for the past 5 months, and called them to cancel, but they will not stop.

      Never enter into a contract with this company, never do business with a realtor that promotes this company.

      Worst company in their field! Shame on their executives for allowing such a horrendously poor customer experience. I happily fired them and will never recommend to anyone. Unethical crooks

      I have had a policy with Home Warranty of America for 10 years or so, this year it has taken a drastic turn for the worse. We have not had heat in our house for 30 days, we have had 4 technicians out to provide a diagnosis all who have come to same conclusion, the 30 year old system should be replaced to which *** continues to ask for additional documentation and eventually we start over on the process. I don't believe *** has any invested interest in it's customers other than money and the cheapest option to eek a system back to health until the next break.

      Our water heater needed replacing. It has taken several days to get a replacement--days with NO hot water at all, so no showers and no ability to safely wash dishes. When the replacement arrived, it was defective, so now we wait more days to get this done. I have called and complained to this company. They should be called Home Warranty of Asia since their call center isn't here. They said a supervisor would call me back "today." It's been 24 hours and no call back. No surprise.Their customer service is nonexistent. The company they contracted with is gouging us for more money since they don't pay enough.We've had a contract with HWA for 3 houses. They're always slow, but this is beyond ridiculous.

      What a scam! After months of calls, where I clearly told them that I would never renew with them, I got an email in my SPAM informing me that I had been signed up for auto-renewal, to be billed every month without my consent. The button to opt out takes me to a page that states "Your account has already been renewed. You cannot record a preference at this time."I'm not going to even talk about the awful experience I had with them trying to get anything repaired. They need to be shut down. They are just a bunch of scammers.

      We have had the coverage for about 6 months. Our pool motor broke and we have the pool/spa coverage. They agreed to replace the motor which is nice. While the technicians were replacing it, they could not remount the impeller to the new motor. They said the threads were stripped. The company refused to pay for the replacement. When I talked with the sales person, I asked them what was covered by the pool and spa coverage. They said "Everything except the liner." When I called the company, to get the impeller approved, they said it was not normal wear and tear on the part. The part has been attached to the motor since I have owned it. I do not take it apart or anything. How is that not normal wear and tear. I will be cancelling as soon as this mess is done. They have no problem taking your money, but it appears to be difficult to collect.
