      My compressor went out in my central air. Called HWA to get them to send someone out to fix it. They said M&J scheisters Incorporated to look at my unit. Having had previous Heating and Cooling experience I had already checked out my unit, all of the readings were indicating that everything was working properly that the thermostat was calling for the compressor that the system was sending the proper voltage to the relay and that the compressor was bad. After their technician came in he reported to my warranty company that I needed a new Transformer, a new blower motor, a new circuit board, and a new thermostat. The thermostat is still working and is new. We were using the blower motor before they came to circulate air to help keep it cooler upstairs, after their technician and I use that term loosely was in my attic my blower writer no longer works and I'm pretty sure that whatever else he did up there none of that stuff that he said I need to replace is any good. We had a storm 2 days before where my power went out. They blamed my parts being burned out on a power surge from that storm. I called the warranty company to let them know what had happened, they said that they would send their denial up to someone to review it. I called to speak with that person and they listened to what I had to say stating that the person that looked at my equipment said it was a power surge that caused the problem and they were going with that. Do not by anything that *** is selling. They are now owned by Choice Home Warranty, and they are doing the exact same things that choice is being sued for. Buyer beware!!

      This company has turned into a total joke past few years. Horrible customer service. We used this company when we purchased our home in 2014. They would be prompt, we would talk to local customer service people and they would work with us to get venders in to work on our homes. We pay a monthly fee for the service. The past two or three years it has turned into a clown circus. Instead of local customer service people to work with, they have out sourced it and these people are sometimes unsure what company they are representing. We have had a simple plumbing issue since May and want a plumber to come in but they cannot get one to us because local venders will now not work with them due to "lack of payment". I spoke directly to a company and thats what they said. How did I talk to them? *** assigned them even though this company will not work with them and did not show up. I had to make phone calls to see why no one was there and the customer service people did not realize this.

      *** has terrible customer service and continued to waste my time while they had no intention of taking care of the issue that should have been covered. Then they use their "legal contract" terms to not cover the services. They were unable to find a repair technician, so after a month I found my own.After repeated requests for information from me which I provided, they determined because the "language" I used was proof they were not responsible. I even asked them more that once if they had any intentions of taking care of this. What a waste if time, then after wasting months of my time, they tell me they will not cover any of it.If State Farm or American **************** had these types of practices, they would be under federal investigation. Then when they got me so frustrated I was in tears or get frustrated, they act like the customer is the one out of line.They don't actually care about helping people and it says a lot when you can't find a local contractor even willing to deal with them.

      i had been woth this company for 4 years! it was OK for 2018-2020 then it was taken over by Allianz ir some other insurance company and the service was amazing.Then in 2022 it was sold to Choice Home warranty or some other warranty company.and the aervice was horrible! the **************** was insulting and you will be humiliated once you raise a claim.Worst company to work with! you are better off without a warranty company!

      THIS IS THE ABSOLUTELY WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! THEY RESUME TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS AND WILL FIND THE SMALLEST THING NOT TO FIX SOMETHING! THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT YOUR ISSUE IS COVERED UNDER YOUR POLICY AND THEN FIND A REASON TO SAY ITS NOT!! I HAVE BEEN W/O AIR SINCE 8/2/23, CALLED IN A CLAIM ON 8/3/23, THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT ON 8/7/23 WHICH **** STAYED ONLY 5MIN. AND WENT BACK AND REPORTED THAT MY MOTOR WAS GONE. IN APRIL OF 2022 I HAD SOME ISSUE WITH AIR NOT COMING OUT THRU A FEW VENTS, THEY SENT A **** OUT, WHO WAS IN AND OUT IN LESS THAN 10 MIN. HE WENT BACK AND TOLD *** THAT IT WAS A DUCTWORK ISSUE AND IT FELL, AND HE DONT DO DUCTWORK. SO WITH THIS ISSUE (8/2/23) *** KEPT GIVEN ME THE RUN AROUND, SO I HAD 2 OTHER COMPANIES COME TO MY HOME AND CHECK MY SYSTEM (2-2.5HRS EACH) WHICH THEY CHECKED MY DUCTWORK AND NOTHING WAS WRONG! STILL ATTACHED, NOTHING ON THE GROUND, THE **** FROM 4/2022 LIED! SO WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT THAT, THEY KEPT ASKING FOR PROOF OF REPAIR FROM 4/2022, I EXPLAINED THERES NOTHING TO BE FIXED, EVEN UPLOADED PICS TO PROVE THAT MY AIR DUCTS ARE STILL ATTACHED NOTHING ON GROUND AS THEIR **** SAID. AN SUPERVISOR CALLED ME A LIE AND STATED THAT THEY CAN NOT MOVE FORWARD WITH MY AC ISSUE NOT WORKING ** OF THE CLAIM FROM 4/2022 AND THEY NEED PROOF OF REPAIR. MIND YOU PICTURES WERE SENT BUT NOT HONORED. I THEM HAD ANOTHER HVAC GUY COME AND REPAIR MY MOTOR ($515) AND THEN I NEEDED A CONTROL PANEL ($213) AND I STILL HAVE NO AIR! THE SYSTEM NEEDS REPLACED AND I DONT HAVE $20,000.00 LAYING AROUND. IN THE BEGINNING OF **** I HAD A PLUMBING ISSUE, I WAS TOLD ITS COVERED, AND IF I WENT AHEAD AND FIXED IT I WOULD BE REIMBURSED, THAT NEVER HAPPENED!! $1,300 OUT OF POCKET. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.... WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT GET THEM!!!! YOU WILL BE PISSED!!!

      Scam. Run far away.Please do NOT use this company. It is a scam and extremely unethical. My AC unit broke and they couldnt find anyone to do the work (because warranties dont want to pay contractors the money) so they had me go through the reimbursement program. Meaning I pay up front and they reimburse me all but the $100 service call. Totally fine-it happens.I submitted the invoice and paid all the money upfront to the contractor, just for HWA to deny the whole invoice and not even pay me a third of the bill. I called to get this reviewed and they said theres nothing they can do and they cant help me. He said the claims department refuses to re-open and look at the claim. I spoke with ******************* (case manager) to help and he also couldnt do anything and didnt even provide me with a managers name or number.After reading more reviews this seems to happen with other people too. Its such a shame and an illegitimate business. Please look for other companies as HWA is terrible. I wish I could give 0 stars.Unethical, poor customer service and very slow.

      I purchased a home warranty as I wanted peace of mind when purchasing my condo. I, personally, had a home inspection. And I moved into my condo. After repeated phone calls, I reluctantly bought the plan, paying one year in advance. After a couple of , my lights starting flickering and a new neighbor told me it was an electric panel. I filed a claim and they sent out an electrician (who explained he and his wife owned the company. *** denied the claim citing some breakers were double tapped. After arguing with the case manager, *** offered to send their installer to replace the panel at a much lower price, but I would have to pay for the work, etc. I was considering this offer since it was a lower price, but I wanted to do my own research. I discovered that this company WAS NOT LICENSED! HWAs reply after I called them, not all jobs require a license! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! IT HAS TO BE THE WORSE COMPANY EVER!

      TERRIBLE Company, find someone else. Paid 2k for a home warranty package and when our heating system went out due to normal wear and tear and aging out they looked for every little reason to deny the claim and not pay the premium coverage per our policy coverage. They are so incredibly rude, unprofessional, terrible all around. Never again.

      HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY. STAY AWAY! This company has to be a scam because I cant get a technician out to my home to repair my AC unit. I keep getting the run around. I literally call them every day to check on my claim and Im told the same exact thing every time by customer service. Who are most likely reading from a script. PLEASE DO NOT BUY WARRANTIES FROM THEM. If I could give them ZERO stars I would.

      I have used Home Warranty of America for the 3 years wo any problems for minor issues in my home (leaking faucet, microwave/stove element repair, & garage issue). I have been wo air since July 20 2023 ( 3 weeks in this ******* heat). First tech came told me i had a clogged ********* order a part came the back the next week and stated some seal would not stay connected due to the pressure and came back down from my attic stating their was explosion. I did hear a noise sounding like a lot of releasing pressure. I assume it was the refridgent. Tech 1 did not 2 come-lets job I called him he stated they only wanted to pay 300. Tech 2 was dispatched days later, they called and asked if they could come earlier at 10 ( scheduled appt was ****) i said yes they did not come at 10 & did not call until ****. They answered i was told they were running behind they did not call at all nor did they show up called *** & like always let me try to reach them -they could not get ahold of them. I received a email shortly after stating they would come the next day. They showed up to say something was wrong w the coils i need a new system. NEVER NEVER heard back from them the company attempted to reach out to them over the next 4 days with no answer h*** i even called liked i worked for ********** did not answer. Rep stated to be patient they would continue to reach out 2 contractor. I will say i did not have 2 pay for the 2nd contractor but the customer service ***** they transfer to different companies hang up on you & love sending a message to a supervisor which may take up to 24hr or longer 2 get a call back. I am sick and tired of dealing with them. Be AWARE AWARE. Long story short they plan to pay cash out which will be less than **** awaiting another cb. TRUST i wont be renewing with them again. I had 2contact my own company and HVAC system will be **** greater. Unsure if they did more damage than when they first came out. I hate this company. I have called them over 50 times
