      Purchased a home warranty and when I filed a claim for my AC unit, I had to pay $950. I called to inquire what the $950 was for and every person I spoke to on the phone stated they did not have that information. They stated I would have to make an appointment to speak to the manager whom could provide me with the information. After waiting 5 days, the manager called me and stated that she did not have the information. ******* stated that she would call me back. She did not. ******* also gave me an incorrect phone number when asked for a number to f/u. I attempted to fax a letter to the company with my complaints-the fax was not working. I attempted to send the same letter to my case manager-email not accepted. I tried to call my case manager (**********************)-no voicemails accepted. I had to pay the $950 to the technician after have subpar air conditioning in 2 weeks to just get the job done. I will be filing a Petition in small claims court soon. Definitely do not use this company!

      Horrible company that does not care about their customers. AC unit went out so we called for service, which took 3 days since we are currently under an Excessive Heat Warning here in *****. The tech they sent took apart our furnace and left it that way. Called HWA to ask why they did they do that if the furnace didn't need service, they could not answer my questions nor would they call their contractor to come back out and put it back together. They basically said it's not their problem. Cancelled my policy right then and there. No use in having one if they refuse to fix their mess up. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

      I think its they just get people money dont uphold nothing they say u still gotta pay out of pocket on the side they send non professionals or side hustles to your ****** have to wait so long to get some thing done they dont respond back you have to keep calling them or you would get out on the end cause they dont care they only pay for parts no for nothing that needs replacing u have to cover that they give u to different prices they ridiculous Ive been out of air for a month its been 90 degrees in my home with kids I had to get a hotel and they still not saying wen someone is coming out

      We had a contract with HWA for our home and our experience was terrible. After several years of business with them our A/C stopped working. *** sent a contractor that refused to fix our A/C due to a governmental compliance with a new refrigerate. *** refused to pay for a change in *********** and wouldn't send out a new contractor that would fix our older system. They stuck ** with the bill for almost $6000 for a new system and they took several weeks to partially refund us for our old system. I would nit recommend HWA to anyone. Please do not use their "services". I was forced to give them a rating, it would have been no stars.

      Bought a house in March, and the ** compressor needed to be replaced when we tried to kick the unit on in May. Inspection during sale did not show ** as broken. Every step of trying to deal with *** was a pain. Had 2 different techs come out because *** can't properly describe the issue and find someone to work that actually has all the information for the request. When appealing it got worse. Every time we had to call to deal with someone, it was like being thrown in every direction possible before getting in contact with who we needed. And when finally making contact with the appeals process they have no problem speaking over you and repeating the same points that you have already addressed. I would never recommend HWA to anyone I know, and when our paid year is over we plan on going with a different company because we never want to deal with *** again.

      I been paying for service for over 10 years and in the last couple years service went downhill. I put more that 3 or 4 claims and the contractor never contacted us. I got tire of the go around with them and decide it to cancel the warranty / contract. Now the problems is that I have call at least 7 time to cancel the contract with them and nothing. Last time the that I was able to talk to area they to cancel it and they sent me an email with the cancelation. But appears that does not mean anything and they can keep getting money from my account. Try to call them and every time the transfer you to that area the hang-up on you. This is a scam. Don't use this company

      I have a warranty with home warranty of America. They do not care about their customers. I have been without a working refrigerator for over a month now. They have sent two different companies out. The companys they contract with do not follow up. I explained to the company that I have had visits from contractors in my home three times and this has went on long enough. I have a family to feed and dont have money to buy food for us to eat everyday. I ask for a manager and they tell me I will receive a call in 24 hours and that never happens. So today I was told if they dont hear from the last technicians that was in my home 6/7 they will escalate and get a different company. This will be the third company and yet I still dont have a working refrigerator. I asked cant you just replace the refrigerator instead of me waiting possibly another month and I was told no. I regret signing up with this company. I also asked for a refund of the months paid and was also told no. They can take money from my account every month but now that I need service that cant provide it in a timely fashion. Someone needs to look into this company. I wish I had checked the reviews here first.

      *** has an agenda to defraud their customers. After reading the BBB reviews, you can determine all ***s reps have been trained to consistently cause delay in processing claims . For example, my A/C unit is leaking Freon in the evaporator coil. They sent a tech out. He followed procedure and sent them a quote. After a few days, I received another email wanting a second opinion but *** cannot find a tech that will work with them. After waiting another 3-4 days, an email arrives telling me I can hire my own tech, pay for it and receive reimbursement. So I followed their procedure for reimbursement. After the techs quote and pictures were uploaded I received a text asking how much to recharge my system. Basically that was a trick question. My system needs a new evaporative coil but *** thinks refilling it with ***** is the repair and thats the amount they authorized. Meanwhile I have an 85 year old senior living in the household, a heart patient, who is swelling due to lack of air conditioning. *** told the *** reps this approximately 6-7 times and they absolutely do not care but are trained to say the correct thing. There are so many BBB customer complaints and bad reviews for ***, I think its time for an attorney general to look into this company. They are a registered business in almost all states. In closing, I would like to speak to an *** rep that doesnt have a foreign accent.

      HWA is heartless and ruthless. I have been without AC for 2 weeks and I live in ***** and the temperature has been getting to 100+ degrees. I call them constantly and they continue to make promises and I yet to have AC. Please don't waste your time nor your money with this company.
