      I have been paying monthly payments to Home Warranty of America for over 6 years. My a/c unit recently sprung a leak of freon, and *** promptly sent out a technician. Long story short, my claim was denied and so was my appeal. They stated the freon leak was not "due to normal wear and tear". What is HWA smoking?? I do not know how this leak could have happened any other way?? I did not sabotage my a/c unit. My copper pipe sprung a leak?? I will be changing home warranty companies. This is a very sad day.

      I had planned to leave a long winded review but it would seem that others have had a similar experience. They kept us waiting until we did the work ourselves after the water heater went out. After the work was complete, they refused to compensate ** despite this being a very straight forward use of the home warranty. We've never had a company be unable to perform the basic task for which they exist.They need to be removed entirely and rejected from doing further business. It's that a review is likely all that can be done without more time and money for legal action.

      HWA Home Warranty is a SCAM, with a call center in *****, no one knows if the company really exists. Bought a home, had AC problems, they sent a shady fly-by-night guy over who knew nothing about ac units and didnt fix it. Then they closed the claim saying it was resolved. After almost 2 mos of this, and multiple claims, I called a REAL AC company who fixed it same day. You have been warned, DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!

      It's been 2 weeks, they keep sending an email about the Tech appointment, but it gets cancelled on appointment date because they do not want to pay appropriate hourly rate to the techs. i called all 3 technicians to ask why and what happened, they all say, this company is fraud and do not want to pay their regular hourly rate. Who do we as a consumer to ask for help? AC has been out for 2 weeks now and all they do is, keep sending new appointments.Please stay away from this company. why BBB is not taking any action after seeing this many one star reviews?

      If theres is less than one star I would have done it. My ** broke more than 2 months ago. It needed a new evaporator coil to be replace. This company made me pay out of pocket for a whole new condenser plus the installation which cost me more than $4500 plus they gave me no choice but to deal with the ** company who they picked and I could have found away better deal with any other company to install the new condenser. They said if I dont deal with this company the ** wont be under warranty. The problem is that the ** company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They dont answer the phones they never call back after they collect their money . Been dealing with this for more than 2 months even after I paid for everything out of my pocket. EMS air condition company will also get a 0 for customer service

      The company deserves a no star rating. I have been waiting for over 2 months to have my refrigerator repaired. This company, continues to be negligent . I have submitted all required documents requested and I still have yet to get my refrigerator repaired. They sent out a repair technician three times to say the exact thing. Per the third party vendor (A& E) this is standard practice and mortis operandi of the company due to suspected merger/acquisition. Whatever the case may be, my family has been with refrigeration and this company can care less. Avoid this company at all cost. It is evident that this company is does not have any morals or ethical standards. Their are countless stories just like mines that I have read concerning the nefarious practices of this business. How can a company like this exist?

      My Mother has been paying for over 2 years to this company. She is in her 80"s and now her oven is not working, and her hot water heater is leaking. Made a claim for both and to this day nothing is being done and the claims opened in April. Someone called regarding it and it was from choice? The person on the other end said oh this is not a choice client and hung up. Not every good company.

      I had a bad experience with my first claim as it took 9 months for them to finally give me the funds for a new refrigerator. But since then, they redeemed themselves except for this last claim for my pool. The service person they sent (owner of PureClean in which I'll be reviewing them next) was a serious jerk & just had a mean demeanor to start. Then he told *** a bold face lie on how the part broke so I was denied. I asked for an appeal and the case manager said basically that the appeal was just a courtesy to make customers think they're being heard but it's whatever the service tech said so she's not going to investigate or over turn the denial. I don't think they understand what an appeal means. So basically I have to buy a new motor out of pocket because of that jerk service guy. I called customer service to speak to a supervisor and they said the case manager is the God of the company so what they say goes and no one else can do anything about it. Sounds like the case manager has too much power because they're not doing anything but pumping themselves up and ruling with an iron fist, but not there to help with anything. Needless to say I canceled my policy...fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! The worst business dealings in general I've come across to-date!

      This company is a scam!!! They are so difficult!!! I have filed a claim on 5/5/23 regarding my AC unit they sent out a third party to do a diagnostics and I have not heard back on what's next. I called HWA to see what's the update with my claim and the customer service representative said I have to pay **** for things not being covered. I asked what was the overall diagnostic and if I can get a break down of what was being covered by them. He said he couldn't provide me that information, and I got upset because he's throwing out a large amount that he wants to collect but I can't get details on what's being covered ? So I asked if I can speak to a supervisor or someone accessible to providing me the break down and he hung up on me. I called back right away got another representative and he said he would escalate the issue and a claims manager would reach out to me withing ***** hrs. And so 2 days later a manager Mr. ************************* reached out to me he apologized for the situation and frustration I was put through to please disregard the amount the representative had mentioned to me. He had no idea or update with my claim either,so he said he would gather facts and call me back within 24hrs, he emailed me his extention and said he would take over my claim to reach out if needed.I am now going on my 3rd day since we spoke and have not had a call back. I called *** asked to be transferred to his extention the lady said she couldn't do that, all she could do was message him and let him know to call me back. I tried emailing him letting him know i am still waiting and if he can call me. Still nothing no reply or call.I am so upset at how poorly this is being handled. I've been a customer for ****** and renewed my ********************** for ****** with them I am regret it so much. At this point I want my money back for the future renewal and go elsewhere find a better warranty company! Please save your money and time! Don't do business with this company!

      Do not waste your time or money with this company. They are horrible-rude. Their vendors are horrible. Not way to contact their vendors who do not show up and just cancel appointments week after week. Going on 5 weeks without a refrigerator and they tell me I will owe $600 for parts and labor that are necessary to fix it. Now they have me scheduled for an appointment on May 29 (that is a holiday) I will have been without a refrigerator for 6+ weeks-----Just go somewhere else or go without a warranty----you will be better off either way.
