      I've been struggling with my AC unit for over a month now, and the problem still hasn't been resolved. We've had four appointments, and each time the technicians either claimed there was no issue or suggested a solution that never got completed. I've expressed my concerns to Home Warranty of America multiple times, but they keep blaming the technicians' company for poor communication. There have been instances where I was given a false appointment date, and when I provided proof of the mistake, *** simply apologized and offered to reschedule. Each appointment takes two weeks for a technician to come out, which has been incredibly frustrating. I've been patient and understanding throughout this whole ordeal, but I've reached a point of frustration and anger. My family and I have endured sweltering triple-digit heat without AC, even resorting to sleeping in our cars at 4 am just to find relief. I've informed *** about these challenges, hoping for an expedited resolution, but I'm always met with the same two-week wait for a technician. This entire experience has been disheartening, time-consuming, and costly. I've documented names, saved camera recordings, and kept emails to prove that I've been given the runaround at every turn, causing me to lose sleep, miss work, and suffer from immense stress. I wish I could share a positive experience with Home Warranty of America, but unfortunately, that's not the case. I sincerely hope that my review, along with others, will bring about change and prevent home warranty companies from taking advantage of hardworking individuals in the future.

      I filed a home warranty claim on June 22 after my air conditioner went out. Today it is Aug 19 and I still have no air conditioning. Five different contractors have been sent out. *** keeps re-assigning contractors instead of listening to what the contractors are telling them. HWA procedures say they need photos of "bubbles' and the contractors are explaining that due to the leaks they are unable to pressurize up to the *** required for bubbles. Meanwhile I am stuck and the one paying the price though this hot summer. I called customer service, Juff, and he was very rude to me when i requested that we have a three way call with the last contractor. Switching to *** was the worst decision i've ever made with my house.

      On Saturday (08/03) our AC wasn’t cooling due to a cooling component going out/ not working and it was quickly getting uncomfortably hot in the house. We live in south Louisiana.. it’s August.. it’s extremely hot and humid. I have MS and I am heat sensitive. We needed to get the AC fixed quickly. When I get overheated my body physically and cognitively does not work. Unfortunately, overheating in August with triple digits isn’t difficult and happens quickly. We had previously dealt with this company on a new motor for our pool equipment that took 3 1/2 weeks just to get approved (which cost us over $500 in chemicals). I didn’t have 3 1/2 weeks to go through this company’s rigamarole of BS to have AC. For health reasons, we had the technician do the repairs believing we would be reimbursed . We submitted our claim and we were denied due to not having “pre-approval”. That’s shameful. I invite the board members, the employees, and all management to come to south Louisiana and stay for 3 1/2 weeks without AC. Then deny my claim. This company needs to be held accountable…this is ridiculous.
      I needed the AC repaired so I can function due to my medical condition and it was denied! WHAT A SCAM!!!

      The first time I had this company they were fantastic. This time though, I've been lied to about being allowed to speak to a supervisor. They claimed they don't have supervisors to handle escalations. When I finally got her to say there just wasn't one available, but that she would put me on a callback list for them she didn't. They also told me their company doesn't have a list of vendors. It's like pulling teeth with tweezers to get them to answer me about the possibility of receiving a reimbursement. I've dealing with this for well over an hour. They can't give me a list of vendors and they don't have supervisors for me to speak to. This is insane.

      I would not recommend this company. We purchased a home and were given a one-year home warranty with this company as part of our purchase. Seven months later, a leak developed in the drain pipe under the bathtub, and the air conditioner stopped cooling. I opened two claims with ***, one for each problem. The company was quick to confirm the claims had been opened and stated they would assign service technicians, who would reach out to us shortly. Although I received multiple emails from *** apologizing for the delay, no technicians were ever assigned and the problems were never resolved. We finally ended up contacting an HVAC engineering firm and paying for the repairs ourselves. When I returned to the *** website to cancel the claims, I found that both claims had been marked "RESOLVED" although nothing had been done to resolve either. We live in a large city - a college town - with numerous service companies and resources. I suspect that ***'s inability to locate and assign personnel to our repairs was an indication that service companies don't want to deal with ***. Purchasing a warranty through this company is a waste of time and money.

      if i will have to give them 0 (or no star) I would have. I was a customer for about 10 years and past 4 years had issues with my A/C not cooling, HWA assigned 4 different technicians and all of the told them that there was a leak of refrigerant and all they did was for the to add refrigerant (R-22) , the last technician told them this is obsolete and illegal so the unit needed to be replaced, and *** refused to do it. I had to spend my out of pocket money ($5700) to put in the new unit and when i called them they offered me $160, they are fraud, scammers and PLEASE DO NOT SUBSCRIBED to these scammers.

      The worst company ever. We have been waiting a month to get air fixed.We have put in numerous tickets and they have been canceled or the vendors assigned never showed up would not return calls. We finally decided to use option to get our own vendor cant get any response from company cant even upload our information. We have been customers for 10 years! Do not spend a dime with these people.

      What a joke of a company I bought a new house and got a home warranty for piece of mind a couple months in had some problems with my ac units. They denied fixing anything cause they said it wasnt in 100% working order that it takes time for parts to go out, which is obviously a lie, living in *******,Az you cant go without ac in your house now Im stuck with a huge repair ***************** I dont know how Im gonna get handled. DO NOT USE this company

      Horrible company. Have filed claims numerous times and each time it takes WEEKS to get a technician sent out. They are the laziest company and outright thieves. Stay far away. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that actually cares about you. NOT THIS ONE

      The worst warranty company I have ever did business with. I paid a good amount of money yearly for the service and never used it. When I put the 1st claim in 3 years since I took their service, they failed to provide the worst service one can think off. There was an issue with my A/C not cooling. They could not provide me any local technician and I kept on waiting for over 48 hours. I kept calling them for an update but they had none. I spoke with the same customer service agent for 3 days and I was not allowed to speak to a supervisor or a manager. Finally on the 3rd day, we started the reimbursement process while I was on the phone with the rep. ** directed by her, I called for a local technician, got the A/C repaired, got the pictures, documentation on the repair work and the invoice payment. Then per her instructions, uploaded the same on their portal. They acknowledged receiving the documents and the pictures. After couple of days, checked to see if there is any update on the reimbursement process on their portal and was utterly surprised to see that the claim status says completed. Sent a note on their portal and they responded that the repairment work is not approved. They will have to find a case manager for the same and then I need to communicate with him/her to get the reimbursement. Terrible customer service and they try to take the cheap and easy way out. Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Home Warranty of America is garbage. Dont believe them. Scammers.
