      I purchased a home owner warranty in 2021, I have kept it up to this day. My central air is not cooling my home I contacted Home e warranty of America June 18, 2024, to inform them of my situation they informed me they would have to find a contractor who would take the job, I asked how long would that take, I was informed they didnt know even though my policy states someone would be notifiying policy holder in a day. I was informed I could find my own contractor but they would have to come to my home and diagnose send the diagnosis to them and see if they approve the job. However, I could not take the chance that I would have this issue fixed in a timely manner. American warranty of America sent an email that a technician would be coming to my home on June 26th between the hours of 3pm-8pm. I took time off from work waited in that hot house for a technician to come on 6/26, no one showed up nor did anyone call. I called the technicians number it went to voicemail which was full and I could not leave a message. I contacted Home warranty of America the following morning to report this, they informed me that they will put in for another technician to come out. I informed the person that I could not take off work again please have the technician to come on Saturday or Sunday, she told me that was my responsibility. I asked her how long it would take for someone to contact me or fix my air conditioning unit, she informed me she didnt know. I informed her I was ******************************* that house as it is too hot. She asked me if there was anything else she could do. This company takes your money but does not provide the consumer with answers to the problem. When I first bought this house Hime warranty was under different management ones that cared and quickly got the issue resolved this new management does not care but they sure want your money. I hate this new management they do not care anything about the folk keeping their business a float

      While purchasing a home warranty seems like a good idea, it is definitely NOT so with this company. They have basically NO customer service. We had a simple dishwasher claim where the technician twice recommended a replacement because he could not repair the dishwasher. He came to our home twice and was scheduled a third and fourth time, but never showed. I had tried the online claim filing process and kept being told that the technician had to recommend a replacement before that could happen. The next message would acknowledge that the technician recommended replacement and that they were expediting the process. Instead they scheduled the technician for another visit. This went on for well over three weeks while we had no functioning dishwasher. I finally called their number and spoke with a representative whose English I could hardly understand, so I Respectfully asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that no one was available. They did allow me to leave my number and ask for a call back, which never happened. We finally cancelled the claim and purchased a dishwasher. Purchasing a home warranty from this company is a waste of money and time.

      (-1 review) DO NOT USE HWA/Home Warranty of America. This company is by far has the worst customer service Ive ever worked with. They are so rude and will not work with you no matter what the circumstances are. I have a beautiful short term AirBNB rental house in *****. On memorial weekend, 2024, a tenant checked out and other tenant was due to arrive in 2 days, when we discovered the ** stopped working. I imedetely callled an ** guy to diagnose the issue, for $65. The ** Coil started leaking causing it to freeze, and needed to be replaced. After calling ***, they said they would try and get someone out there as soon as possible, but according to their contract, they had ***** hours to respond to a claim. I explained to them, I didnt have that kind of time. Instead of waiting on *** and losing the tenant(which ends up in a bad review), I called the same ** guy back to install the new coil. He found the coil in *********** and was able to install in the same day. After paying for the $1900 ** bill, I filed the claim with *** on 6/10. They denied the claim and assigned a case working to work on a solution to help me with the denied claim. The case worker does everything they can to avoid you. I would email the case working and every time she would call my wifes cell phone. Every time I would specifically provide my cell phone number in the email and again she would call my wifes number. I even called her direct phone number and a recording would say, this is an unusable number. Unbelievable!! When I would use their portal to setup meeting with my case working, l would receive a call from an associate case worker, not even my case worker. There is SO much more I could tell you. They are just terrible. Even though they owe me the $1900, I am done with them. They should still make this right with what they owe me. All I received was $179 back when I cancelled my membership. Rediculous!USE SOMEONE ELSE FOR YOUR HOME WARRANTY.

      Ac went out due to old age 1 month after closing (lived in the house for a week). They said it had constricted air flow from one small leaf but 3 different companies came out and said absolutely not. They refuse to cover the cost and Im now thousands out of pocket.Water heater went out today and Im sure Ill get the same response even though I just had another inspection done last week.This company is a scam

      One of, if not the worst warranty plans you can buy. This company used to be good until they were bought out and then it went downhill fast. You can never get a hold of an employee, or a service provider, which essentially like burning $75 a month. Don't waste your time like I have.

      I submitted a claim.
      On May 17th, for AC unit replacement.
      After 33 days schedule for installation day after Several days of above 90 hot weather.
      On day belive Finally, they're gonna place it in.
      Later finding that they did not place the order, And I now have to wait additionally more days for delivery off of unit. I feel like treated like someone less than a person. I'm upset my wife have Health issues that the heat does make thing wost.
      Eye contact them on numerous days and days and days to all parties involved and i'm still flustered

      I put in a claim for a broken door handle on my built in microwave, they denied the claim, my policy states that the handle is covered if I have premium service plan, which I do. I appealed their decision. They said the reason I was being denied was because someone pulled on the door handle and broke it. How else do you get an into a microwave? This company is a ripoff and should be bought up on charges.

      the night mare, H.W.A. because of this home warrantee of America , I cant trust any company anymore. I purchase the house 4 yrs. ago. the previous home owner has this water heater for less than 5 yrs at the time, I have home warrantee of America H.W.A. paying $600 per yr. some higher /****** plan they called , the watter hitter broke, we did not have hot water for over a month, I contacted H.W.A, they told me to contact the manifucture of the company of water heater, I did, they told me its not transferable to current owner, contact H.W.A and sent them the certificate of the manufucture saying not transferable, still I was calling them everyday back and forth, upload and send us the certificate of manifuctkre that is not transferable I did, then they came up with the different story , H.W.A. they want manifucture or the company Rheed to write them a letter, ***** said no we sent them the certificate. after 35 days arguing with H.W.A I gave up I never renew after experience this horor, end up bying water heater from ********** from my own pocket, to me this home warrantee is legal scam something has to be done

      Never ever use this company, the home warranty isn't worth the harrassment and bullying marketing tactics they employ starting a couple months prior to your warranty expiring. They will call you multiple times a day, won't accept an answer of No when asking if you want a renewal. They will email, mail, call you an excessive amount to the point that it will become an inconvenience to your life. When I told them No over a month ago I was mocked by the rep and laughed at. I still get multiple calls daily from them.

      The worst warranty company for Septic Tank the outside companies they use do not come out after they have been place on a order I been dealing with my septic tank problem for over 2months I have had 5 different septic companys assign one only came out and the work was not completed still fighting to get my septic tank problem fixed .and now they are not returning my calls after leaving my number for a call back choice home warranty company resolution is not good. Please use another company this one is not right poor communication.
