      We have a paid home warranty through HWA monthly. On Monday (5/19/24) our AC unit suddenly stopped working. We filed a claim with HWA and they sent an AC specialist of their choosing (ERHVACR SERVICES LLC) out to our house on Monday or Tuesday who determined we needed the indoor and outdoor AC unit to be replaced. Since that time, we have called HWA daily and they have repeatedly said they need additional information from the plumbing company to even move the claim towards an approval process which can take an additional 3-5 business days. Despite 3 days of attempting to make progress, they still claim they do not have the information needed to move the claim forward. We have spoken directly with the plumbing company who has sent all information requested multiple times to HWA. I have asked to speak to a supervisor with HWA and they have not contacted me. HWA initially sent me an email and contacted me to say that an incorrect part and price was needed and then turned around and contacted me for the correct part and price which was higher and then told me to pay the tech company ERH direclty for the part but that is not how it works per Emily at ERH. We are now going on 2 weeks without AC with hot temperatures outside and have two kids in here suffering. I do not know what else to do at this point as it appears HWA is intentionally avoiding processing our claim. Please help if possible.

      *** was once one of the best companies to help you with repairs in your home. However, that changed once they were bought out. Service went down hill, the repair companies did what they wanted and never came back nor made repairs. Reviews made by the ' contract/project manager's ' are a joke, they always find a reason to not provide additional service or cover a claim. All that money spent could have been saved and put toward reliable service companies nearby. I'm done with them, your best bet is to look elsewhere. ************

      I know they make it sound good but this company doesnt deserve to be in business. They are scam artist and hurt local businesses. Theyre unethical and awful. Hide stuff in the fine print to get out of paying what they should and they do so without shame.

      HWA is a scam. Their contract is misleading and written in a way that makes you think you will be reimbursed for repair or replacement of covered items. They make you pay $100 for a technician to inspect your appliance. In fact, they never approve repairs to appliances. Then they give you a replacement cost payment of a fraction of the cost of the appliance, so they dont have to pay to fix the appliance. Example. My 4 year old $900 SS dishwasher had a control panel failure so it would not work. I paid $100 to a technician to say the same thing. *** refused to pay $200 for a new board and the technicians time. Instead, they decided to replace the dishwasher. Their replacement payment is $240 Lowes gift card. You cannot replace a dishwasher for $240. It costs that much in labor to replace a dishwasher and a replacement dishwasher of any type is over $400. In addition, after two weeks without an appliance due to scheduling a technician, then I have to wait up to one month to get the gift card to replace my dishwasher ONLY at Lowes!I pay $90 per month for a Diamond Plan. One of their top plans. *** will not repair anything and will not replace anything for you as stated in their contract. They will always send you a replacement cost gift card that is only a fraction of the Retail Price value of the item and does not include removal or replacement costs. HwAs **************** is outsourced, so there is no service. Claim disputes are handled by agents trained in HWAs fine print language which says they have the sole discretion in handling claims and they use their basic contractor wholesale cost for replacements but send you to a retail establishment to find a replacement. It is a total bait and switch!I have spent thousands of dollars in premiums, and the first time I file a claim, I get screwed. There arent any legal recourses in their contracts either. HWA policies are scam! They do not pay to replace anything and they dont fix anything!

      I live in ********* ****** with a family of four and two kids under the age of 8 years old. My water heater stopped working on 5/3/24 and HWA still has not had a technician to come out to diguose the problem with my water heater. It is 48 degrees in ********* ****** today and I have no hot water. Today is 5/21/24 it's been over a two weeks now. My wife and I have contacted the claims department daily. Every time I call their comment is We are working diligently on assigning your claim to the best available technician in your area. At this time, technicians have not responded with a reasonable timeframe to schedule your appointment. We are continuing to work on finding you a reasonable appointment. In order to avoid further delay, we offer a reimbursement option. The only option I have is to pay for my water heater to fixed and have the pay me back in 30 days. Why did I pay for a plan that does not exist? This claim #******** and status has not changed. I'm very concerned that if I pay for this HWA will not pay me back in 30 days they haven't even sent a technician. I feel like this company is a complete scam.

      This company is a complete SCAM. The vendors they utilize don't show up, don't call, don't respond to anything. One vendor cancelled the day of because he's scared of heights after I had already waited a week. Next vendor never responded and then accidentally answered while he was on holiday. Never heard of me, or my claim. This was after I again I had waited another week. Still no AC technician to diagnose. MOVE ON IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS HOME WARRANTY COMPANY!!!!!!!!

      An absolute scam - stay away. ******** calls to get service, no one to speak too. Customer service - poor.Took 3 weeks for their case reviewer to tell me "Not covered" some pre-existing BS. Love to have the owner of this company call me - but that will never happen either.Cancelled my policy immediately.Unprofessional, did not care, total waste of money.If I had the monthly fee back for the "premium" package - would have paid for my repair. Look at all these reviews - all the same - be careful.

      I have been without water for over a week due to a broken water heater. HWA has not been able to repair due to red tape on their end. Every time I try to escalate I am assured the issue will be resolved. When I call the next day for an update I am told there is nothing they can do to help me as there hands are tied until they get the required information from the vendor which the vendor cannot provide due to HWA not providing the specification sheet.

      Scam company. They are choice home warranty. Check out the reviews for that company. They dont deserve even the 1 star i put down. You pay your monthly fee and service call fee. And then they deny your claims. Horible service. Lie to me about phone calls ive made to them when i have recorda of the calls on my phone.

      We have had Home Warranty of America since 2017. We have filed claims before and after *** sent someone to our home, they either fixed the issue or replaced the appliance. For some reason, we are getting the run around with a new claim filed for an HVAC system. I know why we are getting the run around, however per our policy, our unit cannot be fixed. We had 3 different technicians test our HVAC and all three suggested getting a new unit. With all three technicians, *** continues to ask for more information, even though the technicians have supplied HWA with adequate information. This began back in September of 2023. With the temps rising, we have called daily and support continues to state they need more information from the technician. The technician has sent in 2 different sets of documentation and still no resolve. We have children in our home and I suffer from asthma. This is NOT good business, especially when my money is withdraw monthly for my contract.
