THE WORST warranty company to work with! DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these jokers...they will just take your money and DO NOT REPAIR/REPLACE ANYTHING! Forget them and NONE of their "partners" want to work with them or they don't answer the phone to come to your house to help you with the issues you submitted a claim for. If you work here, you are a horrible person for taking our hard-earned money.

I am a disabled individual on a fixed income. I filed a claim about my stove in February, and they approved the claim in March. They did not release the check until July. When I did not receive the check by August I called them, They informed me I would have to wait 30 days or I would have to pay 35$ to them to cancel the check, When I called back in September they then told me that I would have to pay the 35 dollars to cancel the check or wait 90 days for the check to expire. They showed no effort in assisting me, only on getting me to send more money to them, I do not have the money to go a buy a stove, so I have been without a stove for over 7 months.

My first request to them was an A/C not working issue. I live in ** and it went out on a Saturday. I put in a claim on the phone and on the website. I didn't hear anything from them, until Monday morning, when I called them. They then informed me, it might take 2 to 3 days to get a repair person out. At that time, it was 110 F outside and about 100F in my house! The rep told me that since it is an emergency, I could find a tech and get reimbursed Long story short, I found a local company to come and look at teh A/C and do a repair. I call back Service plus and they say they are not going to reimburse, because I wasnt supposed to find own service repair. I ask to speak to a manager, no one is available. I dont get a call back from one the entire week. The A/C goes back out the next day, Tuesday. We call Service plus back, asking for a repair tech. Service plus then tells me they can't now start a service call, since I used someone else. That I would need to call back other company and to send in information about what they fixed. I called the other company and they came out on Wed. During that service call, they reported to Service Plus what they fixed and provided them the required documentation. But this company can't figure out what the problem is with the A/C. We call back Service plus and they say, they can submit another claim now and send a rep out. This was on Friday. The claim is submitted and another contractor is assigned the work. We dont hear anything by Monday so started calling around again. Without notice, Service plus had canceled the request because we can not have their rep, since we had the prior tech out. We are going around in circles at this point. Mind you, we have been without A/C for 10 days, and still no resolution (its 100F+ temps outside) even though I have the warranty. I recognize now this company is not worth even 1 year worth of payment into their plan. I will be contacting my lawyers next.

This company is absolute trash, they do not cover anything, yet charged me monthly to essentially only cover items that costed about 5 dollars to replace, the companies they referred me to did not want to do business with them as they were not paying them for their work, their customer service was horrible! I will never do business with them again.. I wish negative stars were offered

Deceptive advertising practices. Won't pay for work implied in contract despite consumer submitting all required documentation. Consumer will send a lot of time and energy filing claims, talking with company to try to get claims paid, and service people who are required to spend incredible amounts of time on the phone with the company explaining their work. As a consumer, I am most disappointed in this company and intend to file a complaint with our ************** Attorney General. Consumer, keep your money in your pocket.

Formerly Total Home Protection, ServicePlus Home Warranty has been in business since 2016. It rebranded in 2021 when Total Home Protection settled a lawsuit with the Office of the Attorney General for deceptive marketing practices. As part of the settlement, the business agreed to revise its business practices.Their deceptive business practices still in place. This company really took me for a ride. I contacted the service rep **** He started to thank me for being a Military Retiree and offered a six-year plan at $350.00 a year. The catch, to pay up front $2,250 dollars. I figured it was a good deal $350.00 compared to other companies from $800-$1,000 a year. Great mistake!I thought the contract was like any other warranty companies. I was wrong; I found out the hard way. never said anything about the cancellation clause until 3 months later when I placed the first repair claim. The rep did say that I have to wait a 30-day period to place the first claim order, but nothing about the 30-day cancellation policy from the final date payment received. The claims department never answered the phone or were on weekends. I had to wait until Monday. The company they referred me to, ******** ************* in ********, ** was also a nightmare to deal with. I was very angry on how ServicePlus handled everything and the unprofessional way they spoke to me. I told him that I wanted to cancel my policy, and the customer rep, very sarcastically, said that I should have read the fine print. I only had 30 days to cancel, otherwise I have lost my money or to continue to deal with them. At that point I said, So, you give only 30 days to cancel and at the same time you have to wait 30 days to place your first claim. How convenient, nice dirty trick. Lets just leave it like that; youre nothing but a Scam Company with ******************* Practices. I should have check the Reviews prior to sign up with them, please if youre reading this, dont make the same mistake I made.

I'm 1 for 4 in getting my claim repaired. And the one I did get worked I had to jump thru hoops. The last request was for an A/C repair and it took them over a week to even respond. And in this ***** heat that's unacceptable. And they didn't even repair it. I attempted to cancel my plans (salesperson said I could at any time when i signed up) and got transferred to the rudest customer service person I've ever encountered. He is the Senior Regional Manger, *************************. I told him my story and that I wished to cancel. He advised me I could not and began to treat me like c*** I gave him my issues and he said, "I don't see that's the case your one request was approved". I have 3 properties with this company. He refused to search my additional properties saying, "give me the addresses, I'm not gonna do this search and find" Knowing he should've had my full profile up. Or at least taken the time to do so. In addition to that, he was rude, condescending and unhelpful. And when i asked who else i could talk to for help he stated, "you're talking to him" I asked if the call was being recorded he said, "no I'm on my cell" which explains why he was so bold and rude. This company needs to be held accountable for their terrible customer service and inability to actually fix what's needed for my home. 0 waste of mind, 100% waste of money

I would choose another home warranty company if I were shopping today. I currently have 2 claims in process, both I was advised by SPHW that they were having trouble finding a ************** might have better luck finding my own, & they would reimburse me up to $300, so I did that. SPHW requires that they speak to the tech after they come out, but it is VERY troublesome to get them on the phone. An electrician cant just sit around on hold for who knows how long. Finally he got them, explained we needed replacement of the appliance. I spoke to the resolutions **** & the resolution is to offer $205, then he bumped it up to $250. Its going to be a 500 - 600 dollar job, so I asked them to take care of it up to the $300 that they originally stated, but they refused. The only reason I got my own electrician was on SPHW advice in the first place! I have them for 2 different properties, I dont file loads of claims, but the ones I have done have definitely left me feeling like the cost of this particular home warranty is not worth it.
