      The salesman was rude and unprofessional after I said the I was reviewing prices and comparing to different after I tried to cancel transaction the salesman began out right rude saying he was going to cancel the transaction and calling me names when I refused with the transaction ,I recognize this company has issues and wouldn't do business with them in the future ,read the reviews will give you a heads-up

      DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT have anything to do with Select Home Warranty! They are liars! They took our money with a quickness to sign up and offered ** a whopping $95 for our built in oven with a microwave. It has been OVER a month and we now cannot celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with a family dinner, as we are without an oven. The same issue, back and forth for over a month, and still nothing. SCAM! LIES! We have spent hours upon hours being transferred, on hold, and told "we granted you...for your microwave". This is THE WORST COMPANY ever!!! I would not wish for my worst enemy to deal with these people. If you hear Select Home Warranty.....RUN!!!!

      This company is just a waste of money and time to deal with. They just want to take your money and do nothing in return. I signed up with this company on Dec. 2019 and the effective date 1.24.2020 for a 3 year contract. So, the expiration for this contract will be ****. My washing machine needs to be fixed because, when we are soaking soiled clothes overnight or over an hour, it starts leaking and leaves rust stains underneath the washing machine unit and onto our new tile flooring (it's important to note this duration of time the unit is filled with water). So anyways, they sent a technician over and after he ran his test (which was under an hour) it did not leak. Remember, water must be filled for at least an hour before leaking occurs. Despite this, I sent SHW a video to prove that it's leaking. SHW dispatched another company for a second opinion, and after waiting for a week for an appointment, the new technician didn't make it to the appointment date. Now, SHW is refusing to fix my washing machine. I wanted to cancel our policy, but it was a long and stressful process of requesting policy cancellation. However, for me, they said there will be NO (ZERO) refund, but a $75 cancellation fee if I cancel now. BUT if I wait until this coming January, there will be no cancellation fee. RIDICULOUS! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? I still have 13 months and 6 days LEFT with my contract NOT including the SO-CALLED 6 MONTHS BONUS (bait) and ZERO refund??? Also, I have the so-called Platinum Plan BUT SOMEHOW doors of the appliances are not covered, noise (regardless how awful it is as long as the machine is moving) is not covered, and even bathroom exhaust fans (which is basic) are not covered. If SHW won't cover BASIC repairs, what is the USE of having a home warranty through them?!! Don't buy the worthless promises!! This review is a warning for people that are looking for warranty: avoid a painful and stressful experience by avoiding this company! I wish I could leave 0 rating.

      I have been on the phone two hours today and Select Home Warranty reps keep transferring me to a supervisor who was not answering. I finally got to speak with a supervisor who told me that my refrigerator which I made a claim for was only covered for parts. The policy says it covers up to $500 per appliance. The cost for parts and installation was under $500 ($472) to be exact. He told me the claims **** just decided they would not cover the installation only parts. I paid for three yrs up front ($1237 plus icemaker $132) and when I asked about cancelling he said there would be nothing left to refund. The supervisor told me that with cost of the plan and any claims paid they would deduct from total amount due plus cancel fee have only had the policy for a yr. This is classic bait and switch and a complete scam. I would advise anyone to run away from this company. By the way if you do get a claim approved it takes weeks to get it completed. They usually say that they cant find a repair man in my area and I live in a very populated area.

      Worst company ever. Needs a Class-Action Lawsuit Filed Against their deceptive practices. If you go to www.warrantyrankings.com: ******: No exclusion for a clothes washer, clothes dryer, and garbage disposal- but they didnt fix my washer for excluded items. Also submitted a claim on 10-31-22 because my refrigerator is freezing my food. After numerous phone call; Was told on **** that they were mailing the part to my home- AND I would have to call the AGAIN to get the technician out there. *****; they sent an email they need the make, model of the refrigerator and a picture. Well if you ordered the part- didnt you already have the make and model number? Gaslighting , deceptive, disrespectful liars. Who cares that this was my 1st claim (purchased warranty October 20, 2020 effective start date December 28,20- contract ends June 28,24.) Dont do it. I guess Ill have to get my attorney involved to get a refund because Im hearing they take they time for that process also. But they will quickly call you if you missed a payment. I wish I would have paid monthly instead of up frontthen my recourse would be to cancel immediately and save me a lot of money. Now I have to buy a refrigerator otherwise Ill be having Thanksgiving at some restaurant in the cold wet rain. Thanks for nothing Select Home Warranty. You must be paying these sites to post you as one of the best because you clearly are one of the worst.

      Home select warranty is a crooked, its took them a whole month to respond to me and offered $200 for my side by side refrigerator and my water heater broke they said its or covered tell me to look at section such & such that its not covered, I want everyone to aware not to sign a contract with them, theyre a crooked they told me whe I signed up dont worry if we cant fixed theyll replaced the unit now they tell me read section such & such thats not covered, beware crooked, crooked, crooked dont believe anything they say

      The most horrible home warranty! Stay away! I warned you! My heater has a broken capacitor and a blow motor. I have done all the required maintenance checks every year. And the company doesnt want to come and fix the issues. And the reason for denial is lack of maintenance. What an absurd! So basically every time you would want something to fix, they can just tell you denied due to lack of maintenance! Which is a huge lie! This company is a pure scam!

      I wish they had a rating of less than 1 - I have had nothing but issues. They always find a way to not approve any claims. I rec no one using this company. Paid almost $2500 for the 5-year term and I wanted to cancel - they want to return back less than $100. My furnace is not working and they send a tech - for which I paid $65.00 - tech sent information for the claim and they want pictures of the unit's last 3 years of record for service - I just brought the house back in July last year. I don't have the record since I was not the owner before last year and they want to only approve $150. Job cost is over $900+.

      I have select home warranty and they will not mail me my warranty policy. I do not have a computer or a printer and I have made several phone requests. Nothing has come in the mail. My requests are ignored.

      If I could give Select Home Warranty less tan one star I would. I paid up front for 3 years. I have lived in my residence for a little more than 1 year and am making my first claim. I called Select Home Warranty and requested a technician, they stated they did not have one in my area and I would have to obtain my own technician. My technician determined that my HVAC unit would need to be replaced. I am replacing a Rheem 2 1/2 unit with a York 2 1/2 unit. After going through 10 days of replying to emails Select Home Warranty denied my claim based upon they considered the work to be an upgrade and not a replacement. I believe I need to blame myself for getting involved with this company. I wish I would have read the reviews first. I am hopping someone reads this and it saves them the pain of dealing with this company.
