      This is the first time I have had an appliance warranty with a home warranty. After nine months I made a phone call to fix one of the items in my house. It has been almost a month and a half and still, they didn't fix that item. Today I made another phone call for something else, that technician told me that they can fix it but the select home warranty didn't approve to fix it. I'm not sure why. One of the worst ever and I will never, ever buy a select home warranty again I would suggest everyone not buy the home warranty ever. I will make sure I update this message on social media if they don't fix my item in the next 48 hours. I will put this review on ******** and other social media pages and ****** reviews as well just to make sure everyone is aware of this.

      Run, so not walk away from this company. They are a complete scam. They do not pay on your claims. You're throwing your money away. The customer support is rude and unhelpful.

      WORST WARRANTY COMPANY! DO NOT SIGN UP! SAVE YOUR MONEY!Select Home Warranty approved repairs and then denied them. Their agents consistently lie to clients. They are horrible with coverage. They don't have an extensive group of professionals.With every claim, I had to wait **** days, in two cases I had to wait 8-9 weeks to get someone to my home. They will use every possible excuse to deny a claim. Please do not sign up with this company. Save your $ and find the following group of people who are honest: (********** (2) AC/Heater (3) Roofer (4) Appliance Repair. If I could give them a 0 rating, I would. I am opening up a claim of fraud with my credit card. They are the single worst warranty company.

      Select Home Warranty should not be business, they dont tell customers exactly what their home warranty plan consists of, they told me if an appliance cant be repaired they will replace it however when my dryer stopped working they sent an email saying they were giving me the maximum allowed which was $150 however what they didnt say was that the $150 was going to the vendor and that I would be responsible for paying for the defective part plus any other expenses incurred. It took me TWO Days to try and cancel the policy after being given the run around trying to connect me to their **************************** which by the way is the only way to cancel your policy. Then to add insult to injury, they charged me a $75 dollar cancellation fee which they failed to tell me when the policy was started. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

      I gave a 1 but if there was a zero it would give that.I can't for the life of me understand how this company is still doing business! I not only got the platinum service policy is paid in full for the year. I thought platinum ment something, That wasn't true.I submitted a claim for my clothes washer and thought I would hear from a service technician in abfew days, again I was wrong. A couple weeks passed and I called the service number to check on my claim. I was told that all the technicians in the area where busy, and that I could find someone on my own for which I would only be reimbursed $75. I said no all wait for one of their technicians. Fast forward 7 months I just called to cancel my policy because I have had no response at all !!! Then the agent tried to offer me everything under the sun. NO THANKS Select Home Warranty can't be trusted.They are eager to accept you hard earned money but not so eager to fulfill their end of the bargain.I am also guessing that they will find any way possible to avoid rebating any money left in my policy.I can only pray that's this company changes their practices or the good Lord puts them out of business.

      They area. Scam and have the worst customer service ever. They dont come out and check and their default is to never pay while pocketing customers premiums and making themselves rich! They have a resolution team whose only goal is to reject claims for paying customers. I would not recommend them ever and advise others to stay away!! When I needed them they failed! Wish I could give them less than a star.

      Worst company I have ever dealt with. I have been trying to get my AC fixed and It's been going on 2 months, different vendors, literally dozens of emails and numerous hours on the phone. I thought I had found a path to completion by calling the sales department where I was told by ********************* that I had an "Executive Account" and didn't have to go through normal channels to get things done and to call the sales department. I was then told by him that a supervisor, ***************** would be calling me the next day. No call, so I called ********************* again and again he said ***************** would definitely calling me the next morning. Surprise, surprise, no call so I'm on hold once again going into the weekend.Their time frames of ***** hours don't mean anything. Sometimes that takes 2 weeks. The reason you may see some good reviews is because they will literally give you free months of coverage if you write a 5 star review and show that to them. Total scam. RUN!

      Terrible company - terrible! Do not buy a policy from this company - it's a scam.I purchased a home last year and the previous homeowner graciously purchased a Select Home Warranty plan for me. I opened 2 claims about 10 months after purchasing: garage door opener and kitchen range exhaust fan stopped working. One was cancelled without explanation and the other is still open:1. No login to your account/policy and no explanation of what the policy does and does not cover.2. Opening a claim is done through the website, but because there's no account login/account page, you must enter all your contact information every time.3. The only way to contact anyone is to call their number. They've outsourced their customer service roles to **************, and the connections have been bad and incredibly difficult to understand the reps (call quality and accents). It's outrageously frustrating and a huge waste of time.4. If you choose to email for explanation, you'll just be told to call their number and start the ridiculous **************** again.As for the claim still open: I was told that none of their "contractors" had responded to the call, so their brilliant solution is to have ME contact someone to begin the work. But there are catches/caveats/restrictions (of course):- They'll pay up to $99 for whatever contractor/handyperson you call to diagnose (everyone charges a trip fee now so they'll just cover that)- Anything above that must be sent to them for approval/reimbursement - So basically, I have to find and schedule someone, pay for the diagnosis, then wait for them to approve any actual work. Considering their claim process, it will be a bureaucratic, time-wasting nightmare. And I have no idea what they'll approve and how much.This is not what their sales/marketing materials tell you. I have a feeling that no one responded to their service calls because they pay so little that no one will take the job.Avoid, avoid, avoid.

      Do not ever use Select Home Warranty. They make everything extremely difficult, they do require proof of maintenance (which not everyone keeps) or they will not cover for the repair at all, the cancellation process is a nightmare, and customer service is super poor. Save yourself time and money by NOT using this terrible company!
