      I have had select home warranty for years. They never have covered any repairs I have needed and this summer my AC went out the motor cost $1100 they approved $ 150, I had to fight with them to get them to cover the repairs. I was with out AC for a week and only did they approve my claim when I threatened to call the BBB. They do anything in their power to not have to pay for repairs.

      Needed water heater replaced it was 5 to 6 years old. Select only wanted to give $250 towards a necessary replacement. What a slap in the face, you cannot even touch a 50 gallon water heater for less than $500 besides the labor to pull and install a water heater and haul off the old water heater. Whoever is selling your program lies to get people to buy your product also your customer service people are clueless to help when calling for explanation of the policy. When I asked if it makes a difference on the age of an item in my home being covered I was told No we replace if the item needs to be replaced no matter the age. No one said oh by the way depending on how old makes a difference on what we pay. So if you have some scale used to determine $$ value, that information should be passed in to the consumer so an informed decision to buy you product is really worth it or not. I really thought I had a good Home Warranty company and now I am totally dissatisfied with what I have learned about you.

      Select Home Warranty LLC is a scam. I purchased a platinum carrier plan for $499.95 in April 2022 and in June filed a claim it was approved for $150. Of cash reinversement money if I made for the service work to be done first with money out my pocket which costed over $500. Never got that 1st plumbing claim work done I filed a second claim last week and got a email saying that I am being approved again if I pay for the work to be done first again and the company would cash reinversement of $175. . I'm trying to understand why I needed to buy a plantain care package if any of my claims I have to come out my pocket for first. What's the point of having a Warranty company if I can't get nothing done No one of the customer service agents could explain why I had to pay for the work to get done first and then get reinversed. I already paid for the diagnostic/ service fee of $75.00 just for them to confirm what I had already told them what the problem was. When I asked for my money back , I was told that I would be charged a $75.00 discontinuing fee. So bottom line is I paid for years worth of service plan and can't get nothing serviced unless I pay for it first. Select Home Warranty co. Is one of the biggest scammers out there beware. So they get away with my $499.95 platinum care plan money and I get nothing for the a year. Sad to say that the foreigners that they got runner the phone lines are all in the scam too.

      Never will I buy a warranty from these people. They do not tell you everything until you use them. Then it's in the contract. Very hard to get them to send out a technician to access the problem. Once they finally do they won't give you near enough to fix or replace it. They lied about taking care of the homeowner.

      I was a new customer. Paid my policy up for 12 mons. I suddenly had a issue with my washer machine and filed a claim. It was after my 30 days grace ****** time. I paid my deductible and when the contractor came to my home was rude and told me all I needed was a repair. I wasn't informed by Select that I was denied. I didn't hear from the company or the insurance company. I shouldn't have been denied since I did file my claim after the 30days from started policy and first payment. I did ask to just have it repaired and they refused and denied my claim. I wouldn't use this company because it is a shame they don't honor there agreements. But take our money. I was charged a early cancelation fee that is in my opinion un ethical since they are the ones who didn't honor the agreement to fix my appliance.

      I have never been so disappointed in any business, let alone one purported to "strive for 100% customer satisfaction". Almost every single claim I have made has been summarily rejected on the basis of some fine print. The claims form does not provide enough options to describe the problem accurately. And once you pick one of the provided options that might describe, if inaccurately the issue, in order to get the claim submitted that they will reject it saying it is not covered under the policy. If an issue is not covered, why do you guys even put that up as an option to describe the issue? In the event of an equipment failure, they will NOT send a technician to fix it. Instead - "After a Review of the specific issue with the <>, the parts necessary for repair exceeds the units current value.", and they will issue a check that will barely cover a fraction of the cost of the equipment and certainly not the labor involved in installing it. In order words, customers - please save your money or take your business elsewhere. This company has no intention of providing any service to the customer whatsoever.

      STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOME WARRANTY COMPANY!I've done business with many Home Warranty's, This one was the WORST!Terrible customer service, I would spend most of my time on the phone simply trying to understand their customer service agents. Very Poor English!They never, ever fixed anything. Yet, I simply kept paying their Trade Fees.Doing business with Select Home Warranty will not only cost you more, and more money. It will also cause you a great headache. There's no other way to put it, but this company is a SCAM!

      I contracted Select Home Warranty ** on Aug. 18. 2022. On September 19 or 20 this year I file the claim # ******* to repair or replace the faucet in my bathroom. Select Home Warranty sent E-mail which states that my **ntract did not covers to repair the faucet. They said that I had to buy additional contract for $49.95 / mo ( nobody told me about it) to cover this kind of repair. However they offer me to pay now $ ****** and they will do the asking job. I considered it outrageously wrong ! Pls see their E-mail to me: Dear ***********************,We have tried to process your Plumbing Fixture claim for policy #************************After further review, the problem you are having is not covered under your policy. We do offer it as an Optional **verage Rider however, it was not selected or paid for when the policy was initially purchased. Additional coverage options can only be purchased within 30 days following the purchase date. Please see section 6.4 of the policyholder's agreement.We hope that your recent call with us was a positive one. Your feedback is very important to us. If you were satisfied with our customer service representative, please share your experience with others by clicking the link below, and rate us. Your feedback really helps. If for any reason you weren't completely satisfied you may review us with the link below as well and we will do our best to make it right. So I paid SHW $42 twice and not able to repair the plumbing fixture. I would like to reimbursed $84 to me. DO NOT BUY THEIR WARRANTY!!!

      This is the absolute worst company where each individual tells you whatever they want and the others are not on the same page! I moved down south and tried to find a good home warranty company. I called several and discussed specific coverages for months and they sounded like the company for me. I had them for a few months when my garbage disposal stopped working. I called them and they wanted to know how old it was. I told them I had no idea they took me through the run around only to tell me I would have to buy my own. So you buy a quality disposal, but their fine print ( which I never got a copy of) is they reimburse you for the price of the cheapest model! I didn't do it! Then I told them I was moving to another house and needed to suspend service and transfer it, they couldn't okay, but a MANAGER said because I hadn't had it that ong and I because couldn't be refunded for the several months I never used them, there would be no cancelation fee. I repeated what he said. Two days later They took a payment! When I called to get it back, they said it was a non refundable disconnection fee! They ignore my calls, or answer but leave me on hold and never pick back up! Then the company harasses me with calls as a potential new client to start a new service. When I mention they owe me money, they hang up on me! I feel scammed and do not trust these companies! You pay money for months and don't use them, but the moment you need them they give you the run around! This is just throwing money out the window. They overrode what one of their own MANAGERS said! So each agent works on their own. No I will NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS SCAMMING COMPANY! Money wasted and money stolen!

      I purchased a 3 year policy in Nov 2021. In my coverage and included Appliances, electrical, roof etc. At the end of Aug. 2022. My refrigerator needed repair. I have been waiting over 3weeks for a technician to come look at the refrigerator to diagnose the issue. Each time I call I received the same response we have escalated your claim and you will receive an update via email in 1-2 business days. This 1-2 business days turned to weeks with little no solutions only apologies. Im in the process of canceling this policy. Highly dissatisfied! Do not recommend.
