****************. 8 years ago I was told they cover polybutylene, only to find out thats not the case now that I have a leak. Impossible to get in touch with anyone there - on hold forever, then hung up on. Just horrible.

Denied claim on my water heater. Said it shouldnt have been covered. Said they would refund all the money I paid. They only gave me back a fraction of what I paid. Can wait hours to get them on the phone. Refuse to let you speak to a supervisor.American Water Resources, LLC

I was sent a letter from the city of ******** about the possible need for AWR insurance as our home was built in the 50's with cast iron septic lines. I got the insurance last July after a sewage backup. We had another backup last week and Roto Rooter came out and told us our line had collapsed. I contacted *** got a claim number and got it to *********** (the contractor for ***) and they came yesterday and replaced the line. I had to finance the $7165.43 cost as we had to have toilets. *** called me this AM to tell me the claim was denied as it was a pre-existing condition. They also told me I was contacted beforehand that it would not be covered which I never received that call. Buyer Beware they are a scam. I will also be contacting the city to inform them of this.American Water Resources, LLC

So i watched a service man from american water ring my bell and he told my ring camera he was changing a meter box on the side of my home. I called the company because i did not order a meter box and the *** explained to me that no notification went out to home owners to make them aware this was happening letters or calls i also raised concern that if someone see a stranger walking around there property without knowing is unfair she expressed that she is sorry for the company but it is bad that they show up and put things on your home and you are not aware. I was at work when i saw him on camera and never gave consent for him to enter my driveway to put anything on my home that is invasion and tress passing i feel violated and then you get charged for this and i had no idea the gadget was there since 2016 i was told by the ***.American Water Resources, LLC

i have no words! I had a claim open since 09/2024 and it is now 12/2024 and no one has been out to fix my dishwasher!! I paid $125.00 for the part to fix it based on the technician in September, then was told they deemed my dishwasher, saying it was not fixable AFTER they made me purchase the part!!! I have been on the phone with American Water EVERY DAY FOR 3 months AND THESE JACKASSES can't seem to get it right!!! I am currently on the phone with the service representative who is in the ***********!!! And then they said my account was suspended for non-payment, and I am looking at my bank account, and it has been PAID!! I am surprised they are still in business! DO NOT USE THESE JERKOFFS!! you will be sorry if you do!!American Water Resources, LLC

We have documentation (video and photo) that the plumber they sent LIED about having completed the work and they refuse to reimburse for the cost of having the job done correctly by someone else after giving them a month to fix it and SEVERAL of their plumbers not showing up. One annual price to start, and then you'll see steady annual increases. I signed up for the water line protection several years ago at about $40/year. Stayed with them for several years. Withing just a couple years the price had increased to over $100 a year. One year I called to complain and they dropped the price to around $59. Then the next year's billing was over $100. I cancelled. Now I'm getting solicitations for that $41.88 a year again, and in calling them, they say that's their regular price - well if so, then why was I raised to over $100 a year? I called the sales number to ask if I was going to see similar annual price increases, and they told me that with each year's renewal, you'll be charged that year's new price. I never had to file a complaint, but based on these reviews below, the whole business model seems to be some type of SCAM!American Water Resources, LLC

This is an awful experience for anyone. Plumbing problem. Filed on 11/14 Claim#******* Waited for a plumber for a week, called again. *** outsourced my problem to KEEPE in *******, **********. This company (Keepe) cancelled on me 3 times before finally saying go back to *** and they will help. I called AWS 11/17 20 min. 11/25 34 min. 11/26 37 min. 11/27 41 min. 11/28 22 min. 12/2 51 min. I have begged to spec to a manager with zero luck. This problem has had me out of my home since 11/15, had to cancel Thanksgiving. This company has ran me around for almost a month with ZERO, ZERO help! I even PAY for emergency services and they have taken my money $50 service call and haven't done ANYTHING. I have all kinds of insurance with them and have paid in for a very long time. This is the worst experience as a home owner I have ever had. I can call and call, and call and it is nothing but a complete run around with them. AWS, you know what you have done to me!!!! I firmly don't believe that anyone is going to help me. I pray that the BBB will do something. This kind of garbage is something that the AG's office should be prosecuting!!!! I'm sorry, THEY HAVE, just not in Arkansas yet.
