My water bill went up exponentially. I called the water company to check my meter, and it was working correctly. I then called American Water since I had water line protection. They indicated that I had to find the leak, and I hired a company to find the leak. It cost me a non reimbursable $400. American Water then sent a plumber of their choosing. The plumbers indicated my lines must be replaced in American water only pays for repairs. For another $400, I called my own plumber who repaired the leak. American Water would not reimburse me. When it cane time to renew the service we opted not to renew given the small print in coverage. The loyalty agent submitted a claim for me saying this should be reimbursable. Well, it was not because we didnt use their plumbers. Very disappointed - this all set up as a very elaborate scam. We carried coverage for years, and had a favorable outcome some 10 years earlier. When we needed them, they denied us. I spent hours on the phone with them on a follow up call to no avail. Save your money. Find someone else.

Terrible Company and ************************** My bill increased from $6.65/month to $27/month with no notification. When I called to inquire, the ******************** offered me a "50%" discount to $12.99/month ($13.85 with tax); meanwhile on their website, the protection plan for my zip code is only $12.49!! When I said that to the representative, she told me the website was "not up to date". I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for over an hour, and no one came back to the phone.Pure fraud!!!American Water Resources, LLC

They charged me another $27 on my bill for this month. I finally spoke with them and they have no record that the ****************** offered a 50% discount to $13.85/ month during my call on December 30th. They never showed up, I called the contractor they gave us, they had no record of the job, I called many times finally after 2 weeks with no help I called my credit card and they stopped payment, I recommend to not use this company, especially if you need help immediately, there quick to get the money without authorization, and the phone run around, but no resolution to the problem, and it was only the water heater, if it was actually a pipe you would most likely get no helpAmerican Water Resources, LLC

I give them no stars american water resources is a scam. I've been paying my coverage for years totaling $69.11 for four different services with american water resources and only had one claim the back of my toilet had a little leak which they came out sealed the back of toilet. Now I have a claim for the kitchen clogged sink it been a week today and it's still clogged. I canceled my warranty which was also difficult. I hate this company. We had a serious water emergency while working in the bathroom we had water spraying everywhere and the gentelmen that showed up jumped right into action when re realized what was going on. I could be more grateful to him I wish I knew his name!! THANK YOU!!!American Water Resources, LLC

Absolutely horrible service. I have few sewer line coverage and have a crack in my pipe. Had to call my own company to come out and diagnose the issue.This company has sent a technician to my house 4 times and the last two I was told they would have a camera to check the crack and recommend a fix. **************** is atrocious and not ********** not use this insurance they will not help you. American Water Resources is NOT a good company. I had a floor drain issue and they sent a plumber out for repair. The plumber told me that I had to pay upfront as *** was not good at paying. I paid for the service out of pocket because it took them 4 days to dispatch someone and I had water in my basement. I asked for reimbursement from *** and they NEVER reimbursed me. I cancelled my service with them and would never recommend them. The company does not deserve ANY star ratingsAmerican Water Resources, LLC

My water bill has consistently increased each month- its more than double what I was paying a year ago at this time!!! The customer service representatives have fyi en me conflicting information. ****************. 8 years ago I was told they cover polybutylene, only to find out thats not the case now that I have a leak. Impossible to get in touch with anyone there - on hold forever, then hung up on. Just horrible.American Water Resources, LLC

Denied claim on my water heater. Said it shouldnt have been covered. Said they would refund all the money I paid. They only gave me back a fraction of what I paid. Can wait hours to get them on the phone. Refuse to let you speak to a supervisor.American Water Resources, LLC
