      I have an ez pass snd went through a toll on 5/26/24. Toll did not read my ************************** received a fine in which I appealed on line. I then receive a notice from a collections lawyer for the violation fee. Tried calling nj ezpass and cannot get through. I will pay the $1.40 toll but not the $50 violation fine as it was not my fault the toll reader did not read my ezpass.

      I’ve been charged three separate times in 2024 alone for violations that are not accurate. My EZ pass is displayed correctly, but I still keep getting toll violations. $50 administrative fee for a .75¢ toll?? & they never answer, effectively FORCING people to just pay it and get it over with. How are these people getting away with this???

      I Have account with the ****************** of New Jersey for many years. I submitted application for Senior Discount to them online over an Year ag . few times try to contact customer ********************** to find status of my request but no answer and Customer ********************** don't answer any phone call just keeps on hold every time.

      I have an account with New York expass. Within the last six months I bought a new car. When I updated my plate number and car with easy pass New York, they entered the wrong plate number into the system. I received toll violations and fees exceeding $700. I explained to New Jersey EZ Pass that I already have an easy pass and should not be charged the fees and only the exact amount . Their response was they were only able to waive a few and I still have to pay $400 in fees. Customer service was rude and there’s no way of speaking to a manager or any way of getting my conflict resolved. I don’t have extra money and can’t afford this . I feel like this is robbery and im being taken advantage of.

      My car was transport to fla 25 July 2024 the plate was either stolen or fell off the truck,when it got to fla 28th I the owner fled in fla 30 to pick up my car at my sister's house.there was no plate on it so the driver whom transport my car said he didn't realize the plate was off,so he send money to buy a new plate and tag the 30 july sane day I arrive ,I call ezpass newyork to explain I have a new plate n tag and gave them the number august 4th 2024 they apply the new plate number but never took off the old plate plate number. The next week ez pass newyork took money out my account I call to ask why they told me a till came in on August 9th ..I said why your didn't remove my old plate number, I even ask them to close my account on the 4th of August 2024 they told me to return the transformer I just open the account with them in May I believe 2024 Iand they told me to put close account on the package, I see they sent it to fla address but the car was in newyork at the time, since I never open the package I sent it back return address at the post office in fla and the post office scan the package till this day 25 of August ez pass newyork did not receive it and refuse to close my account I I have sunpass ezpass in Florida I don't need two transformer...so August 14 they finally took the plate off the account the old one August 14 but reuse to refund me the August 9 toll saying I should send a fax letter what happen, I try to send the fax their fax don't work so supervisor took my complaint again ,every week iam calling complaining on August 9th toll and too close my account it's always something else they want me to do .now I was told today to make a police report. I well not do that the Tolls was in newyork and iam not going to newyork to file complaint ezpass going to pay my flight and hotel bill I thought a while ago I could make a complaint in fla but Florida said the Tolls are not in Florida it's in newyork .every week iam calling for account close and refund

      **** ******* traveled thru NJ for a federal requirement of recertification for his position at NJ Transit. He used his new Jeep, and my PA EZPass toll payment transponder; the recert classes were 3 days between July 1-3, 2024. We recvd several letters about tolls not being paid despite the use of PAEZPass. I can't recall dates of 1st letters, but we provided our EZPass account # and authorized them to pay the toll due. Attachment is a letter to NJEZPass I'm mailing today, with a check to pay tolls, but NOT the Admin fees they're trying to gouge us with. I'm anticipating a 3rd series of letters and possibly a return of my check, asking for the admin fee be paid- or else! Thank you for your time. - ******** *******

      EZPass is trying to charge me more than $600 in violation fees for violations I was not aware even occurred. My EZPass was fixed in the right spot the entire time and I received no written or email notice about the violations. I also had autopay on my tag, to my knowledge.

      The vast majority of that balance is administration fees. I called customer service and they were unable or unwilling to help.

      I am 23 and cannot afford these fees.

      I recently requested my New Jersey EZpass account be closed. I returned my transponder, and received confirmation of such. I had a positive balance of $91 at the time of cancellation and have not gone through any tolls since. I have requested a refund numerous times by phone and through the website. I have not received it. All I get from the web form is a text message that my case has been closed. In addition, I can no longer access my account online - so I cant provide documentation - because they have removed my access. I am at a loss as to what to do.

      I am filing this complaint against EZ Pass regarding their unfair and excessive penalties for minor toll violations during my brief visit to New Jersey.On the weekend of June 2, 2024, I visited ** from my home state of *******. Being unfamiliar with the local toll system, I inadvertently used the ** Turnpike without the proper payment method when going through 3 non-EZPass tolls, resulting in three "Toll by Internet" stubs, each less than $7.As an out-of-state visitor, I was unaware of the cash-only policy at tolls for non-EZPass users. This information is not prominently displayed or easily accessible to tourists. Furthermore, the inability to pay by credit card is outdated and inconvenient for travelers in today's digital age.I acknowledge my oversight in misplacing the original stubs. However, EZ Pass's response to this honest mistake has been disproportionate. They issued two violation notices (numbers ****************************** to my mother, the registered owner of the vehicle I borrowed, each charging $50 for all three toll violations.When I contacted EZ Pass to explain the situation and request leniency, they agreed to waive only one of the $50 charges, leaving me responsible for $100 in penalties for less than $21 in original tolls. This represents a markup of over 476%, which is excessive and unreasonable.I believe EZ Pass's actions are unfair for several reasons:-The penalty is disproportionate to the original toll amounts.-They failed to consider my status as an out-of-state visitor unfamiliar with the local system.-Their willingness to waive one charge demonstrates a lack of acknowledgment of the situation's uniqueness.The toll system lacks clear communication and modern payment options for non-local travelers.I am seeking a full waiver of the remaining penalty charges, leaving me responsible only for the original toll amounts.

      Hi,

      I am writing to request assistance with setting up my EZ PASS account. Upon reviewing my transaction history, I noticed that I was charged for several tolls before I even received my EZ PASS tags in the mail. Specifically, there are transactions dated July 23rd that were billed to me before I had the tags in my possession. I would appreciate if you could please review this issue and refund the charges for those transactions. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

      My request for a refund was denied since these license plates were attached to the EZ pass account at the time. Well, obviously they were. The account was only set up once I provided them. However, you guys must have not packaged them properly or something similar because I was billed before I even received the tags...
