E-ZPass keeps charging me fees and penaltys when I have an ezpass displayed. The tolls were $54 the rest was fees and penalties. They know my address and know that I have an ezpass I dont understand why they dont just charge me the toll. Its almost like a scam they say it didnt read the tag and charge you all this money.

I have NJ Ezpass violations that I received even though my license plate is on file with our ezpass account. The fees are so great that I now have a large balance and it’s too late to dispute online. I reached out by phone to try to see what I can do and try to reach a settlement to resolve the issue and come to an agreement on payment. I received on email from someone at ezpass in early May regarding this matter with a callback number. Since then I have called the person many times and left numerous messages with no call back. I even tried calling the main number back several times and spoke to multiple representatives with various failed attempts of having someone contact me. I was promised a call back from a supervisor. No one has ever call me back for over 3 months. And now they sent the bill to collections. I need someone to actually follow through on there end and call me back to reach a settlement. I shouldn’t be punished for their inability to do their job. I feel very stuck and don’t know who else to contact.

Ez pass says that I owe them over $900. For many years they were apparently sending bills to the incorrect address. This has happened multiple times. The issue has been going on for years and I didn’t know. Recently I finally starting getting bills at my current address. I called to address everything and when I called they said that I owed them over $900. I requested a supervisor call me to set up a payment plan and see if they could plewse remove some
Of the administrative fees. They said someone would call me but they never did. I called multiple times. Sometimes waiting on hold for over two hours, one almost 3 hours. The last time I talked to someone it had already been sent out to collections. I again requested a supervisor call me. This was months ago and I still have not heard back.

I have been a NJ EZ Pass customer for 20 straight years (since 2004). The credit card attached to my account was lost. I was away from my home address for a a long time, and I came back to find that I had multiple NJ EZ pass toll violations, and each one of them have a $50 administrative fee. Over my 20 years, this has happened a couple other times, but I was ALWAYS able to simply go online, put in a new credit card, and pay the tolls with my EZ pass account. The administrative fees were ALWAYS waived, and there was never a limit to the number of tolls you could resolve this way. I learned that there is a new rule that you can only resolve 12 violations per year this way. I have now resolved all of the tolls, but NJ EZ pass is saying I owe them over $600 in violations. I spent hours on the phone in the last month (and time online as well) trying to resolve this. I finally spoke to a supervisor today. She told me they allowed an unlimited number during Covid but that since 2022 they only allow 12. How was I supposed to know that? She said I could have read "the updated terms and conditions." Wouldn't it make more sense to send the new rules in a very simple mailing rather than extort people for $50 per toll? I go through high speed lanes and was unaware of the issue. Once I was, I have been tireless working to try to resolve it. The supervisor could have and should have simply waived the adminsitative fees, as was always done. This seems unlawful, or at the very least highly unethical, as it is a change in business practice. I have resolved dozens of violations in the past (at one time) through my EZ pass and violation charges were always, always waived. (As I said, I've been a customer for 20 years). (Please note: I have now paid all tolls due but none of the $50 per violation administrative fees).

I have had an account since 2014, somehow I have $2,500 in violations. I keep telling the representative I have always had an account and they wont listen. Only company I can use for tolls this is ridiculous. I am not paying $2,500 for tolls I paid

      - Date of notice received: 7/12/2024
      - Amount paid for this bill: $0.00
      - Amount paid for my E-ZPass: $20 + $35 = $55.00
      - I wish to pay the original toll fare of $4.40 and they have added an egregious $50.00 fee that is not equivalent to the cost of the toll.
      - I have signed up for an E-ZPass for my vehicle and have given the company money to ensure this never happens again.
      - I am not a NJ resident and was unaware of these toll roads and there was no option but to use them.
      - I never received an original bill and only received letters showing the administrative fees that are egregious.
      - I have attempted to contact the business, but no one answers. Resolving this through them has been an impossible task.

I was driving from Rhode Island to an event in New Jersey on April 2nd, 2024. I went through two toll booths. I have a Massachusetts EZ Pass transponder that was current, had money in thew account, and was working (I know this since I was charged for tolls in other states). NJ EZ Pass sent me a violation notice. I filled out a dispute form telling them I had a working transponder and gave them the transponder number to be billed. The notice said I would be informed about the result of my appeal. On July 9th I received a bill from a collection agency. I called them and was told that I had to pay the fine. I said that I had not heard back about my appeal. They said that I was responsible for payment of the fine. I feel like I am being scammed by NJ EZ Pass since I received no reply regarding my appeal. I am happy to pay my toll, but not the fine.

      Hello,

I am the Landlord of "** ********* **********, NJ *****". Years ago, a tenant who used to live at this address gave this address to EZ-Pass. He probably left the house 5-10 years ago but each month about 8-10 letters are coming to this person. I am sick and tired of collecting these and taking them back to the post office.

The account holder is ******* ****** ******* INC. This entity/person doesn't live here. DO NOT send any of his emails to my address. It is already years I have been dealing with these letters and EZ-Pass must pay for my time I dealt with their wrongfully sent mails.
