As the holder of account number *************, I am writing to bring to your attention an issue with my EZ Pass account. I'm a member of the **** Air Force, and I frequently travel overseas as part of my duties. During the summer of 2019, I returned from an overseas assignment and attempted to use my EZ Pass, but the screen displayed a message instructing me to contact customer **************************** visiting the office located on Rt 21 in ******, **, I was advised to call the customer ********************** number. It took many attempts, but I was eventually able to speak with a representative who informed me that I owed over $500 in fines and fees. This was due to my account not being automatically replenished, as my bank had issued me a new credit card number while I was deployed. The original number had been compromised in a data breach, and I was not aware of this until I returned home from ***************.I strongly believe that I should not be penalized for not being aware of this situation while I was far away from home. I respectfully request that the fines and fees be waived, and my account be brought up to date. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Initial Complaint

I had toll violations over the summer of 2022 that I tried to pay, but they close your account once you owe them money and claim you are "no longer a customer," Which is literally the opposite of the definition of customer, but whatever. I called them for weeks, spending countless hours on hold each time only for the call to never be answered, and the call to disconnect after 3 hours. It took 2 months to get ahold of them, and they said they would reinstate my account, update my payment method, update my email address, and update my mailing address. None of this was done, they took the payment for the violation, added the minimum $25 to my account, and did not update anything else. Once I realized their error, I stopped using my ezpass and stopped using toll roads, and started trying to call them again, but they continued to charge my account for not having enough funds. Once my account ********* they sent me violation notices (to the wrong address because it was never updated). The violation was for $35, which they decided to put into collections, which is extremely *****. I have been trying to call them now for 6 months, and now because of their carelessness, they have closed my account forever, saying that it cannot ever be reinstated, which severely limits the places I can travel. This ridiculous oversight, and their inability to answer their customer ********************** line after hours upon hours and months upon months of trying to get ahold of them, is absolutely unacceptable seeing as they are a nationally recognized company with more Tolls in their name than cash options.Initial Complaint

3/28 spoke with collection agency about a debt for $32.50 trying to understand how this happened.3/29 spoke with ezpass and was told my balance was $50.I tried to get them to explain how my balance on collections is less than what they show I am owing but they couldnt. I ended up paying the $50 but was mad and wanted to close my account so I said I wanted to return my boxes to get my $20 credit but they said if there is no balance I would not receive a credit. How am I supposed to get a refund without the device to even use?None of this makes any sense and I feel like I have totally been taken advantage of! How did I receive a violation if I have an ezpass account? I need an explanation and really want my money back and need to also confirm this was not posted on my credit report! ** ez pass sent me a letter threatening to suspend my registration because my out of state ez pass was generating a violation notice. After waiting on hold for 1 1/2 hour on four separate occasions someone finally spoke with me. I was told nothing we can do. Again was threatened to have my registration suspended. This company extorts people and refuses to rectify situations by extending wait times on hold and restricting the ability to escalate issues online. The make it impossible to speak with an agent in an attempt to push more issues to collections. Its a crime.Initial Complaint

The toll fee without ezpass is ridiculous and unheard of. This is crazy the late fee prices. You'll are robbing people, and it is unfair to gard working people. You should not be forced to get and ezpass if you do not travel a lot. I just paid ****** for a ***** toll seriously. Come on make it make sense. ***** late fees are ridiculous. I have an ezpass account here in New Jersey. I have it on auto refill and have had it like that for years now. For some reason my account was taken off refill and from that point on ezpass has been letting violations build up instead of reaching out. I went to ezpass in ****** and the rude staff will not help. I said I would pay all the tolls but not the fees. Ezpass says they sent a letter in the mail which was not received. But they never sent me an email or even tried to call to inform me of any issues. They have all of the information to do such but still chose not to. They refused my proposal to at least pay the tolls. Also I called many times to dispute just to only be left on hold for up to 2hrs everytime and when someone would pick up the phone they would just hang up. This has been an extremely frustrating process and my credit is going to take a hit for no reason at all. No one on the staff seems to care in the slightestInitial Complaint

I have not lived in ** or even ************* for more than 6 years now. I received communication that I had a negative balance and I also received a text message from a credit agency that my account was negative by one dollar. Ive attempted to contact ** EzPass numerous times now. I just sat on hold for an hour and 20 minutes - originally they said the wait was 40 minutes. After an hour and 20 minutes it said that no one was available to take my call. I cannot log into my account online to submit a request and they dont have an email. I do not know how else to contact them about this issue but its completely unacceptable that you cannot speak with anybody.Initial Complaint

I received a violation notice # T072394703135 in February for an unpaid toll, however I had a ** EZPass at the time. Between that date the toll violation occurred and when I actually received the letter, I signed up for a PA EZ Pass because I purchased a new car/ moved. I submitted my PA EZPass info to have the toll taken out of my account and sent the dispute for this violation as I have always had an EZPass either way. The claim was denied and I still need to pay an admin fee. I should not have to pay this fee. This needs to be rectified, it is impossible to get ahold of someone at ** EZPass.Initial Complaint

Complaint is against EZ Pass of **. I have a valid ezpass of ** tied to my plate. On a visit to ** one of my many trips through an ezpass lane did not register. I received the violation notice in the mail. I went online and entered my ezpass info to have the toll charged and the violation removed. Please not, you receive no receipt from EZpass of ** anpon entering this info. You also receive no notification if the violation is now removed or not removed.A few weeks after initially entering my valid ezpass info I received another notice. I again entered my info. I followed up a few Days later and it said my violation was processing. I thought it was taken care of.It was not, three weeks later I get another violation notice saying it will be going to collections. I try calling twice, both time I was on hold for over an hour and no one at EZ Pass of ** took my call.A short time later I began receiving calls and text messages from Credit Collection Services. I offered them $5, a bit more than the valid toll and they declined.This is incredibly frustrating and something I hear from others that visit **. I dont mind baying the toll for the road but I have put in every effort to make sure that I do pay it and it has cost me hours of my time and frustration.
