On 10/13/2022 at 20:02:39 we passed through the *** Delaware Water Gap Br toll plaza in a car that is registered to a ** ez pass account in good standing. On 10/24/2022 we received a violation notice for passing through this toll without paying. I submitted a dispute via their website and heard nothing after until we received a collections letter this month from a third party (01/2023). The violation number is T202290503811-01, this toll should have been billed to my ez pass account, no admin fee attached and not sent to collections. I have spent HOURS on hold trying to reach someone to correct this, no one answers, and the past few days waiting on hold is not even an option, a recorded message says call volume is too high and hangs up.Initial Complaint

My tag works occasionally. Actually got someone on the phone previously who told me it was because of an issue with my balance. That has been fixed and the tag still doesn't work. My EZ Pass transponder stopped working and as a result if was charged ~****** in "administrative fees." I disputed these fees as I am an EZ Pass customer in good standing. However, they were unable to find my EZ Pass account and summarily sent me another letter demanding I pay the full amount of fees owed. I then tried to contact someone on the phone. The dispute process is abysmal. They make it nearly impossible to contact anyone over the phone. No matter when you call, all lines are busy with wait times exceeding 1 hr. They encourage you to use the website to dispute claims. However, when I attempt to do this, it says I am ineligible and that I will need to call. The automated phone system is of no use. I am confident all issues could be resolved by a simple phone conversation.Initial Complaint

I have received the violations listed below from EzPass for the months of August/September 2022. I had multiple issues with credit card fraud and cards locked this year as a result my Ezpass account didn't refill when the account balance went low causing the account to go negative. There site would not allow me after the first violation to update my payment method I finally got a new card added the end of the September which stopped the violations. Since late August I have been trying to contact them regarding this. I wait for hours on the phone no one picks up. Now I find out that they have me in collections over this. I never received any notice that they were sending me to collections. I'm more then willing to pay them the $25.20 in tolls but not $345 in violations. We received the monthly statement from ** EZPass and need to discuss the charges and get additional information since we did not use the device on the dates listed. We have waited on the phone a combined 3.5 hours to speak to a representative. If a state organization does provide man hours to answer the phones another form of resolution needs to be readily available.Initial Complaint

got a text message saying that New Jersey EZ Pass had put my account in collections due to an unpaid tag fee. I never got a phone call, email or letter in the mail stating this, when I called the collection agency they said the only way to resolve it was to call New Jersey EZ Pass customer **********************. I have called three times each being on hold for almost two hours and no one picks up.I have also tried to log into my account to send an email or to try and pay the violation online, they have locked my account and the only way to resolve it is to call them but they do not pick up so it is becoming impossible to resolve this issue.I want the collection noticed taken off of my credit report and to be able to speak to someone with New Jersey EZ pass to resolve this issue.Initial Complaint

I am a ** EZPass customer with a current and fully funded EZ pass account. I have zero violations in **. The issue is i am constantly having problems with tolls not being paid in ** even though my account is fully funded, all my cars tags are listed in my account and all my tags are functioning properly. When i get a violation by mail there is no way to call and reach anyone unless your prepared to wait 2 hours on the phone and or be hung up on. There is no reason i should be getting a $50.00 fine for a violation that i shouldn't even be getting. How can I never have an issue on the ** leg of my trip but am constantly having issues in the ** leg of that same trip. It's a complete money grab an the *********** should be ashamed of itself. We are hard working people being victimized by ******* EZPass. I have no problem paying the tolls they say I owe minus the $50 "violation fee" .Initial Complaint

The tags provided by E-Z pass don't work correctly. I have to take the parkway every day to work. I have a new tag supplied by them, mounted on the windshield as recommended. However most often than not the tag doesn't work and I keep receiving violations in the mail, wish I can't contest because E-Z pass keeps telling me that I have used the allotted amount of contested violations. So now I am owed an extra $50 per violation, wish I am not at fault. I tried to resolve this with them, but it's impossible, to speak to them on the phone, and they do not reply to my email. What they are doing to the customers is robbery. If their equipment doesn't work properly it should not fall on the customers to pay for it. Unless they are making it on purpose. I have paid each and every TOLL VIOLATION NOTICE either ONLINE or via MONEY ORDER - and EZ Pass has me owing over $720!!!!! This is THEFT!!! I have proof of my payments and NO ONe PICKS UP THE ****** I refuse to pay these outstanding and outrageous charges! I have attached one of many money orders and I have bank statements for the ones I paid online.
