      Deceptive Pricing and Unfair Cancellation Charge Absolutely unacceptable experience with Avis. I was in the middle of checking out a rental when the rate suddenly changed without any notification. No warning, no explanationjust a higher price at the final screen. Naturally, I canceled the reservation immediatelyliterally five minutes after bookingand was STILL slapped with a $50 cancellation fee.This is blatant price manipulation and completely unethical. I didn't even complete the checkout process under the original rate I agreed to. Charging customers for backing out of a shady bait-and-switch is beyond frustratingit's dishonest.I will never rent from Avis again, and Ill be sharing this experience widely. ******.

      Gave me a car that leaked when it rained. Next Day spoke to AVIS about leak they said take it back to where I picked it up. I was 50 miles from there. On the next day it was driving odd and looked at the tires on the front and tire on passenger side was coming a part. So i called again and the man told me I was only 6 miles to another AVIS rental place to get another auto. Dont use them !!

      I wish I could give this location negative stars. I rent a lot of cars (both personally and for work) and this was by far THE WORST rental experience I have had. ****, the front desk agent, was very rude and condescending from the moment we stepped foot in the office. He didnt walk us out to the car to show us what he had since he didnt have the car we reserved. There were a couple issues with the card I was using and he was threatening to not rent to us if the card wasnt produced. He also asked for a credit from the additional driver. I have never had a rental company ask for the additional drivers credit card. The whole interaction was ridiculous. My company has an account with ********************** and I will make sure they personally know that we need to partner with a different rental company. Insane!

      Have been a premium customer for years recently rented a premium SUV for a week long trip ended up with a vehicle with multiple problems 8 hours into trip tire leaked air suv pulled to left and brakes was not good put on spare tire that night drove 6 hours to our destination and next morning the spare was also leaking both tires no damage just bad tires the spare looked like they pulled it out of a junk yard I call Avis and explain I cannot drive home in this vehicle they said no worries we will send a tow truck and get you another suv as they should I get new suv and everything good But 2 weeks after the trip they bill me ******* for a tow truck that is more than I payed for the vehicle to rent in the first place I am so discussed with Avis and will never use them again this is definitely there scam! I have deleted my account and will never use them again worst customer service ever!!!!!!

      Our records show that this contract did not have any added insurances on that would have covered a tow if needed.  As a one time courtesy we have refunded 50% off your towing costs and a refund in the amount of $665.94 has been issued.  Please allow up to 14 days for processing.

      Reservation # ********US1 A representative did email me but ignored my reasonable request for a replacement rental of the same 9 day rental at Budget's cost at the time of my choosing. They said 3 days was the best they could do, and that does not make up for the ruined vacation my family went through. Therefore I will not delete any of the reviews I have posted and I am done negotiating. I will drive away every customer I can from this day forward. There are thousands of reviews on BBB with the same complaints about Budget taking reservations and no vehicles being there when the customer arrived. It's clear that Budget is scamming customers by taking their money in order to boost sales figures (probably for tax reasons).

      I hope someone from the *********** calls me or takes care about this terrible experience at ******** a frequent customer of **********************, my flight was delayed for over 2 hours in ******, when I arrived between 12:50-1am to ***** the counter was closed even though the website shows open 24 hours, a lot of people were complaining to a group of Avis employees that were outside the counter telling everybody to come back tomorrow around 5 to 7am because there are no vehicles for anybody, my reservation was made on JAN 31, how is this possible?!?! I called customer services at ****** and a very RUDE CSR #**** answered the phone yelling at me when I requested an explanation about this situation (I have recorded part of this conversation) he never let me finish talking he just started yelling the terms of the contract, again his attention was horrible, I requested to escalate and talk to a manager and then he gave me a warning for nothing and hung up.Around 3:30am a lady approached me and told me that she had my vehicle, we went to the 3rd floor, she took my license and credit card, give me a key and she just told me maam this is the only that I can do for you, walk through the garage and press the car key, when you see a light up that is your car again I documented all this ************* my question is: WHY was I charged extra?! What about the hours that I was waiting because your crew was not prepared and its a mess that you have in *****. I request an explanation about this and a refund, also I returned the vehicle before 6:30pm, a little early. This is very disappointing customer service and consideration for a loyal customer.

      Rented a standard size suv from avis for a saturday afternoon to a monday afternoon. the car i received was a nissan rogue and the tailgate didnt work but since i was at a small avis location inside a hotel, i deemed it easier to just use the back seats to put my luggage in rather than try to go back to the desk and find an agent. which took an hour to begin with. anyway, the car felt like it was going to spontaneously combust while driving. very scary. car was rocking and rolling all over the place. perform some maintenance on your **** vehicles avis. car had less than 3/4 a tank of gas. remember this for later. wind up having my flight delayed on the day of the return so wound up dropping the car off around 3 hours later than i had originally specified. avis decided to charge me for an entire extra day plus 3 extra hours. also decided to charge me the ridiculous sum of $150 for fuel, remembering the car wasnt full when i picked it up and i returned it a little less than half full. but $150?? are you serious? there was also another bs charge on my final bill. so what originally shouldve been around a $420 rental turned into almost double that amount after they were done with me. unacceptable and ridiculous. will NEVER rent from them again and i advise anyone reading this to never use them either. run away. theres plenty other options.

      ******* ******* reservation #: 26589650US3 ************************** RL7 drop off at PBI pickup 4/19/25 drop off 4/21/25 As stated, a little over $400 reservation turned into over $750 after drop off because it was returned roughly 3 hours later than planned. so 2 days and 3 hours for $750. a little ridiculous dont you think? especially the $150 charge for fuel when i was never given the option to prepay for fuel, so it was not taken into consideration not to mention the car wasnt even full at pickup.

      The rental experience itself was decent. No issues. It was the $250 bill that got added for a Vehicle Cleaning Cost. This cost is defined as including but isnt limited to animal hair, bio hazard, excessive garbage, excessive exterior dirt, excessive interior dirt sand, paint, smoke smell, spills stains liquids, etc). We were in ********** and there was sand in the vehicle but not to the tune of $250. With 10 minutes and $2 for a vacuum at a car wash, I could have removed all of the sand in no time. Whoever was hired to clean it was likely finished in well under 15 minutes.We will not be renting from Avis in the future.

      Charges for vehicle cleaning are assessed when a vehicle is returned in such a condition that makes it not rentable and requires the vehicle to be sent for detailing putting it out of service. Charges are calculated based on the level of cleaning required to return the vehicle into service. This includes, but is not limited to, the removal of food stains on the seats, pet hair that cannot be removed through normal vacuuming, excessive odor, smoke odor, and cigarette burns.

      After careful review of our records, we find that the location has provided ample documentation of the condition of the vehicle upon return. Based on this information, we find the charges to be valid without exception.

      We apologize that we are unable to offer a more favorable response.,
