I had problem on my Miele dishwasher where the rinse agent wasn't being dispensed properly. I called Miele technical support to inquire whether a replacement part was available. I told them my dishwasher model and was given a specific part number to order (which I did). The part arrived and I installed it, but now neither the soap dispenser nor the rinse agent dispenser worked. I called Miele customer service stating that I had received a part that I believed I was defective. **************** stated that the only way they would consider approving a return on the part was if a Miele qualified service tech paid a visit. So I paid for a Miele qualified service tech to come out and he verified that I had been sent an incorrect part for my dishwasher. This information was relayed to Miele customer service along with a report (including video). The bottom line from Miele was they still would not authorize a return and refund of the part (even though it was tech support who specifically told me which part number to order. I have tried escalating the matter but have been continually stonewalled by people who simply read from a script. I advise anyone considering a Miele product to choose another company - their products are overpriced and poorly supported!

Partly influenced by Abt sales personnel my wife and I, in 2006, bought two top-of-the line Miele dishwashers to be used alternately, allowing us to store washed dishes in them for use as needed. Ours is a two-person household, so usage was light. After a year or so one dishwasher broke down. The local Miele technician arrived, discovered the problem, and installed a new water intake hose for which work he charged us. Some months later the other dishwasher stopped, a Miele tech responded and installed a new water intake valve in it, also, for which we paid. Some year or two later, similar breakdown, same outcome. After the fourth or fifth such breakdown, the Miele technicians informed us that the valve in the water intake hoses were misdesigned, which caused their breakdowns. A Miele official, female, contacted us. She offered to replace our dishwashers with correctly designed ones; but also offered to have replacement hoses installed thenceforth as an alternative. We had used them for, perhaps, six or more years by then. Seeing that the defectively designed valves in those hoses had been known and acknowledged by her and the Miele technicians for a year or so by then, and the Miele official was helpful, I did not demand a written commitment from her. As more hose valves failed, the local Miele replacements continued (gratis), but with increasing hostility. Last June, a Miele tech arrived and demanded payment. He departed, with the needed part. Since then, one dishwasher operates. We contacted Miele *** HQ who demanded; "Show your Miele contract promising anything?" Another Miele official claimed that Miele stops replacing hoses after 17 years. That was new. Her English was limited. I asked her location. "*********." A Miele *** official laughed at the BBB "F" and defied me to notify Miele HQ in ***********; that they will bounce it back to him. That is what happened.Miele corruption starts at the top. Beware!!! Miele has been a nightmare of deception.

We bought a Miele dishwasher from a local appliance store called ********** in *************, ** in 2020 after a lot of research. The ****** search started with "best dishwasher makers", "most reliable dishwashers", and "which dishwashers last the longest", etc. Miele was always in the top 2. The typical life span of a dishwasher is 10 - 12 years, so when we read (on multiple sites) that Miele was "tested to last an astounding 20 years", we told ourselves it's worth the extra money. 3 years in and the Miele dishwasher stopped working. The dishwasher read "F12" which translates into a water intake error. And, of course, the warranty expired after 2 years. Okay - no problem. Maybe we were just unlucky. It took a while to find someone willing to service the Miele as we kept hearing "we don't deal with Miele" and "Miele parts are hard to find". But ultimately, we found a reputable service guy and paid him $280 ... the dishwasher worked for another 24 hours and it broke down again the next day. We got a full refund. We called ********** for resource assistance and were told to call Miele directly. Miele wanted us to go through a troubleshooting section - useless. Then they wanted us to arrange a service call - online or by phone - but, of course, you can't actually talk to a human. After you enter your appliance registration info, model name and number, then you get to pay $225 for them just to come out and diagnose - giving a full day window. They won't even tell you how much their hourly labor costs are. And, of course, they insist on your credit card number up front, otherwise forget about it!.What I should have done is searched "has Miele quality gone down" or "how much does it cost to fix a Miele dishwasher" ... look for yourself. Goodbye Miele; ************** got an ** with decent reputation and a 5 year warranty. Advice - avoid expensive dishwashers, but if you get 1, put a comfort care advanced directive on it for when the time comes...

On February 27, 2020 I purchased the Miele front load washer and dryer from ******** for $4,196.00. Three years later, in February 2023, the Water Intake message appeared in the display. Using a Miele preferred provider, I contacted ***** ********* regarding the water intake fault message. It was determined that the hot water valve needed to be replaced. The cost of the water valve was $297.38, and total tech service fees were $543.50. In July, the washing machine made a banging noise and came to an abrupt stop locking the door and leaving me unable to unload its contents. Again, using a Miele preferred provider, I contacted Green **** *********, and scheduled an appointment. It was determined that the circuit board had shorted. The technician suspected that due to the corrosion found at the bottom of the washing machine, the hoses, leaking over time, eventually caused the short. He supposed the hoses leaked from the vibration of the machine. On August 1, I agreed to order the parts costing $726.54 and paid the $189.00 tech services fee. The estimated time of arrival (ETA) for the parts was seven days. While waiting for the parts to arrive, the Clean plinth filter lit up when the dryer was interrupted and, on occasion, would actually stop the dry cycle all together. Possible cause and solutions listed on page 58 of the operators guide were of no avail. On August 31st, I contacted Green **** ********* to inform them we would not be moving forward with the repair. As of September 7th, the Washer PCB and Hose set parts have not been received by Green **** and the $395.06 deposit remains unreimbursed. In retrospect, I should not have relied on the reputation of German engineering but instead read the reviews on the numerous platforms regarding the product. Like so many other customersI will never purchase a Miele appliance again and I will add this review to all the other 1s.

Id probably be giving 0 stars if it were available. Miele is a company that fully takes advantage of clients. Their customer service is not competent, not helpful, and extremely pricey.I have a miele microwave oven that is 3 years old. It started malfunctioning out of nowhere. I had to jump through hoops to get a technician to check it out. The technician took advantage of me not being home and charged an absurd amount of money for looking at the unit (not touch or barely doing anything) for about 10-15mins. Im order to fix it, he quoted me at more than what the microwave is worth ($1250). Now it got even more ridiculous. The guy not only lied about many things related to the repair but the customer service wasnt willing to help in this situation. Their 20 year pledge is a complete lie. I will never ever buy from Miele again. Not only their appliances are extremely expensive but theyre not durable and also to repair them in case of an issue is not cost effective either. Its just not worth your money.

I purchased Miele refrigerator, Range, Hood and Dishwasher in 2021. The refrigerator was delivered with minor damage. I requested repair or replacement at the time from the distributor (Gringer). ******* worked with Miele who assured Gringer that it would be repaired. Everything was to be handled by ******* and Miele. For the first 6 months Miele remained non-responsive. For the following six months (once we got through to their service team), they shipped the incorrect parts (a refrigerator door and a freezer drawer -- separate shipments). Please note--the response was instigated through a BBB complaint. They sent service people here with the incorrect product and had to make multiple visits. Again, payment for services was to be handled by ********************************* Today, 2 years later, I have received a collections notice for several hundred dollars. Collections on a repair to a product that was delivered damaged. Aside from their inability to operate well, their products are manufactured well. And their repair person, when they finally arrived, was very good. A year late, but competent. Not enough to counter their poor business management. This experience has been abysmal.

Purchased an appliance package during Covid and now Miele is refusing to give a rebate that is due. Appliances were delayed coming into P.C. ******** because of production delays. Called Miele to explain the delay has caused ** to miss the rebate window. They said no problem our rebate will still be good to process when everything comes in because the issue is with their production. Once we had all appliances in our rebate was denied. We got the run around from the company and ************************************* was very rude to deal with. Now we are out $1800. I will never purchase from either company again.

I bought a C3 Homecare+ vacuum in Miele ********** center and it was delivered today. It didn't work properly out of the box. I called the customer service and asked for replacement. They said that they do not do replacements "if it is not damaged but simply fails" and suggested to do a warranty repair (for a new just delivered item!!! If I wanted a refurbished vacuum I would not pay a full price of $1700). I asked for a return instead. The return policy is following: they would give you an address and you'll need ship the appliance there at your own cost. I'm very "happy" that it's just a 30lb vacuum and the shipping will cost me "only" $130.I was hoping to get an excellent product. Instead I'm loosing time, money, and most of all my mood is ruined.

I recently purchased a Miele Triflex HX2 Runner vacuum directly from Miele. It arrived and I discovered that I needed to separately purchase the soft roller as the included roller was awful and scratching my wood floors and destroying my expensive wool area rug. The soft roller arrived and when I went to attach it to the vacuum I discovered it was broken. I called Miele Service and they would not set up an exchange. I was forced to purchase a new soft roller and they said I would receive a full refund when I returned the damaged roller. I immediately mailed the damaged roller back 3/20/23 it is now 4/18/23....no refund! I called twice during March and April to find out where my refund was. They said they would put the request for a refund to the accounting department....still no refund. I called today 4/18/23 and now someone is telling me a refund was issued 3/31/23 for the amount of $0.00!!!!!!This is THE WORST customer service I have ever dealt with in my life!!!!!!In my opinion they are thieves!!!!BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!I did choose a star rating....zero stars but the Customer Review Rating would not allow me to do that!
