      I called Liberty Home Guard to fix something in my home and they charged me a diagnostic fee. However, the technician never came to my property at all. When I contacted the company, they insisted that they had made a diagnosis, which is simply not true. I have proof that the technician never showed up, and it feels like they’ve taken my money without providing the service. This is fraud!

      This company is a rip off. Submitted a claim on January 22nd for a heating unit not working. Tech showed 6 days later. I paid the 70 dollar service call fee. Tech said my Heil heating unit needs a new blower motor. 1300 for part and 1000 for labor. He called LHG for approval and they said it would have to go to resolutions department. I was told I would hear something in 24 to 48 hours. Crickets for 6 days till I called them. They told me they would only pay 175 dollars towards the repair and I would owe them 775 dollars if I won’t it fixed. They said if I could show maintenance records they could pay a little more. Unit only 8 years old and I have no maintenance records. Remember the tech quote was 2300. LGH was going to use a generic part and still charge me 775 plus the 70 tech fee. This company is the worst warranty company I have ever had. They don’t cover anything without asking for additional money even though the contract says they cover items. They should be shut down.

      THIS IS A RIP OFF COMPANY THEY TELL YOU ONE PRICE THEN CHARGE MORE FOR COVERED REPAIRS. I PAID FOR THE WHOLE YEAR,AND WHEN I CANCELLED THE POLICY THEY WOULNT NOT REFUND THE REMAINING6 MONTHS LEFT ON THE POLICY .125.00 IS THE PRICE THEY QUOTED FOR COVERED REPAIRS THEN THEY SEND SOMEONE TO ESTIMATE THE REPAIR COST AND I WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO PAY ANOTHER 125.00 DOLLARS. THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY

      I have been with Liberty for 4 years. Liberty’s policy states they will schedule a technician within 48 hours of notification. In my latest request for service, it has now been 72 hours and they still haven’t scheduled a technician. I have had to call them 6 times to get status. In my previous requests the technicians they use are free lance people and in two cases they failed to fix the issues and damaged the appliance they were there to fix causing me to have to purchase new appliances, which Liberty would not fully reimburse me for. Liberty is slow to schedule repairs and the technicians they a use are questionable. Be careful if you are thinking about using them as your warranty company.

      I spoke with ****** ****** today, who is in the billing department. Our discussion was about how LHG might calculate a prorated refund to me should I decide to cancel my policy coverage. ****** was professional, and easy to understand which was nice since most agents I speak with have been somewhat hard to understand. ****** answered my questions and explained how the process would work if I were to decide to request a policy cancellation. I would rate ****** a 5 if I could do so, but I would rate LGH with an overall 3.

      Make sure you check out the line H2 in your contract. It pretty much says they can do anything they want and deny anything they want. This is the worst and the simple company i've ever dealt with

      Beware of this company….they will misrepresent their coverages in order to get a sale and their personnel apparently either don’t know how, or, they are incapable of assigning qualified personnel for resolution of a problem. I have a contract with Liberty Home Guard and filed a claim for our refrigerator on 12.23.2024 and paid them the $80 service fee. Liberty Home Guard sent three individuals (at different times) that were not qualified to perform diagnostics on ** refrigerators. The first two individuals told me they knew nothing about refrigerators and did nothing, and the third was not ** certified. I didn’t find out about the lack of ** certification on the third person until a couple days later. I had to hire a qualified ** technician on 01/21/2025 with my own funds to assess the refrigerator condition in order to set up repair through ** (which I set up without any assistance from Liberty Home Guard). Liberty Home Guard also misrepresented their policy at the time of sale in the fact that I was told by the salesman that the appliances were TOTALLY covered up to $2000. I found out later that the compressor is excluded from refrigerators, and was offered only $150 from them to assist with the repairs. I have since requested cancellation of our contract. Liberty Home Guard has wasted a month of my time with no results and no refrigerator. I finally have the repair scheduled through additional cost and with no assistance from them. I will not trust any positive review I see on this company based on my interaction with them. There are MANY negative reviews online of this company with similar issues as mine that I wish I had found prior to wasting my money. Today I was called by one of their representatives and “graciously “ offered a refund of my $80 service fee….IF I kept the contact in place until expiration…..I told them no, …how could I trust them to be any better than the first time I needed them?
