I purchased several items from the store on 12/24/2024. A couple of weeks later, I notice a magnetic tag was not removed from of the items i purchased. I took the item back to the store to have the tag removed. A week after the tag was removed, i was putting on the item (coat) on my 3 year and the zipper was broken. I returned back to the store on 1/21/2025 to report the defect and exchange the item. I was told that the return/exchange policy was only 14 days. I have called and left voicemails for the vendor on the phone number provided on r on the vendor's website, ************ to explain this situation and no one has returned my call to discuss a solution and provide an explanation. I attempted to make a return within the appropriate time frame to Children's Place and was told I could not make the return at the store as I was out of the time frame for return. I took the return within 60 days as was shown on the screenshot attached as supporting documentation. I have proof of attempted return and was turned away. I have called Children's Place multiple times and spent hours on the phone. I have spoken with Srinivasan A******* *******, and Furqan Y****. I was told that they can not return my order as they "can't surpass the system." They continue to reiterate that I was out of the return window of 45 days that fluctuates and becomes 60 days during the holiday season despite the fact that under my account and orders the return policy states 60 days.Business Response

I placed an order (Order Number **********) with the Childrens Place on December 3rd for a total of $27.38. I received an email on December 11th that the item had shipped. I called Childrens Place prior to this to try and change the house number from 563 to 568. ****** told me it was too late and to contact *****. Whne I called ****** they told me The Childrens Place needed to issue a call tag to change the address. I then called The Childrens Place numerous times to try and redirect the package. Their response was, we dont do this. Then I got a notice from The Childrens place that the package had been delivered. There is no such number on ************* so my family and I walked around the neighborhood looking and asking our neighbors if they received the package. We then called ***** and ***** again said, The Childrens Place needs to issue a call tags so we can retrieve the package. Then after placing another call to The Childrens Place, they informed me, they dont do this and to call my bank for a refund. I did this and my bank said we never issue refunds for online orders. So after all this, my grandson never received his boots for Christmas and I am out $27.38. This is inadequate **************** and this company should nor be allowed to do business. I. Have never had this problem with any company I have ever dealt with. They stand behind their products and assist on finding a resolution.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The Childrens Place needs to respond to my complaint not just pass me back to BBB. The message The Children's Place sent is another avoidance of making this transaction right by refunding my money. This is their motos operandi, delay, deflect and pass the *****This item was shipped in the same shipment as the one in my prior BBB complaint. They refunded the first order but neglected to refund the second order hoping that would resolve things. I deserve to be made whole since you completely ruined my Christmas gift to my grandson. Please just refund the $27. 38 and all will be made right.

I returned an item on 11/11/24 for an exchange but I was told I would have to return the item and re purchase it. I was told they would place the order and have it delivered to the address of my choice. I usually pick my orders up in store, but I was told I couldn't pick up in store. I was issued a gift card for my return and re purchased the item which shows it was shipped on 11/12/24 and delivered on 11/14/24, but I never received my order. I tried contacting customer service but was left on hold for over 2 hours after requesting a supervisor on my initial call. I then went into the store that placed the order. They told me there was nothing they could do and gave me the number to corporate. They never answer the phone. It just rings numerous times and then cuts you off. I've tried contacting customer service again and received the message that no one is available to answer the call and then it hangs up. I want my money back! Placed an order November 25. Company shipped Canada post even though they were on strike. I contacted them and they advised they had an arrangement with *********** and they were still picking up products. Which was untrue. Order has now been sitting 'awaiting' carrier pickup since November 27. I have contacted them multiple times to cancel, they advise they cannot cancel the order once it has been processed (which it obviously has not been). This was for a Christmas present and I had to order something else. Still cannot cancel this order nor will they respond to any inquriries as to the status.Business Response

Called customer service 12/26/24 to resolve delivery issue. Explained I had spoken to carrrier ***** Items supposedly delivered to "parcel locker", 12/20/24, they reccomened to also wait incase a package is returned that was mistakenly delivered to a neighbor's locker. **** did not specify what locker and there was no key or locker combination in my mailbox to retrieve such packages. When trying to resolve through Carrier, **** directed me to contact the product provider (children's place) for reimbursement or reshippment, and for the provider to file a lost package claim since they would be able to fill out the details required on the form when they paid for the label. I explained this to customer service but they brushed me off and said it says delivered, nothing they can do. I asked to speak with a manager, the *** said one would call back within 1-2 hours and I never revcieved the call, not to mention the ***resentative kept saying they didn't understand me, please hire those who are fluent in the main language they're expected to assist in, especially when the greeting prompt when calling asks you before connecting to an agent if you prefer your call in English. The resolution I want is for these items to be shipped again and expedited delivery. If this can't be done, refund me in full. I will dispute with my credit card company if this matter is not resolved within 10 business days.Business Response

I placed an order for Christmas pajamas on December 1. Reluctantly paid a shipping fee. More than 10 business days go by and its still processing. The customer service email sent an automated ***ly to my email when I inquired on the status and if I could cancel, the ***ly said I cannot. I called and the *** told me to call back the week of Dec 16 to cancel if needed, which I should have just pushed for a refund then. I get a notification Dec 20 (20 days and 15 business days after making an order) that my items have finally shipped with an ETA of December 31?! What am I supposed to do with Christmas pajamas after Christmas? I immediately call customer service and they cannot fix my problem yet again.Ill be requesting a full refund including shipping when they arrive and will not be recommending childrens place to anyone. After a quick ****** search turns out the company was waiting for the Canada post strike to be over, meaning they never sought out alternative shipping options over Christmas? Purchased items as a replacement for a shipment that was previously not delivered by *****. Tried to have ***** build a case, but due to it being a SmartPost unable to help. Mentioned Vendor needed to set up a report. Called Customer support at Children's ********************** and they told me they couldn't help and the picture ***** shared was proof it was delivered. The picture ***** took is a close up photo of the box with no background. Children's Place told me I should call my bank and stop funds, however they already have my money. Told me it was delivered due to the photo. This was never delivered. They need to open a case with ***** and refund me at this point.When trying to file a claim with this tracking this what I receive from ***** "The tracking number that you entered is for a ***** SmartPost shipment. Only the company that shipped you this package can file a claim on it, and the claim cannot be submitted online. I placed a order on Children's Place website on December 2, 2024. As of today December 16, 2024 my order has not been received despite being given a delivery date of December 12, 2024 when the order was placed by Children's Place. I have been told several times that my order will be here with ***** hours and it's not. The consumer isn't told that you have to wait 7-10 business days after the order has been shipped to receive your package. My order wasn't shipped until December 9, 2024 a week after placing the order. The order was placed in enough time to be received for my child to enjoy the Christmas items that were purchased that could be worn to school, but nothing has been received. I paid my money for items that are going on 3 weeks of being in transit. I will not purchase anything from Children's Place EVER AGAIN!!! This is not a issue with Gap, Carters or ******** so that's where we will be shopping going forward.Business Response

I purchased over $110 worth of clothing to send to my grandson for Christmas. There was an issue with the delivery being left at the wrong address. ****** the shipper instructed me to call Childrens Place and have them issue a call tag. I am rejecting this response because:Along with my son and daughter-in-law, we have called the Childrens Place numerous times, been hung up on, put on hold forever and when we do get a person they provide us with this exact same information and say there is nothing they can do. As they suggested, I contacted my bank to see about a refund and they said: We do not issue refunds when you purchase anything with a company, reputable or disreputable. We have also called ***** and they made a record of our complaint but said the shipper (the Childrens Place) needs to issue a call tag so they can retrieve the package and deliver it to the right address. When we spoke with The Childrens Place, they said we do not do that! In looking on the reviews for this company, I see, we are not the only ones with these same complaints. There are numerous complaints about their customer service. The **************** at The ********************** is significantly lacking in follow through to make sure when a package is delivered to the wrong address, there is a way to get irt to the right one, or refund the customers money. I have paid the ********************** over $110 and for nothing. My grandson never received his package for Christmas and I am out the money. Certainly, there is something Children's Place can do to make this right.
