The following has happened more than once: 1. I had a routine urine test at Quest 2. Quest added to the claim a fee for "handling" or similar 3. My insurer determined in the Explanation of Benefits that under their contract Quest cannot charge me that fee 4. Quest billed me for that fee anyway 5. I spent well over an hour on the phone trying to contact Quest Customer ********************** so as to get the unauthorized charge removed 6. When at long last I was able to speak with someone from Customer ********************** I was told to email the Explanation of Benefits so that the matter can be fixed. I did so.7. A week later I needed an urgent test. A staff member rudely told me that I have an "outstanding balance" (which was the unauthorized charge) and that unless I pay the unauthorized charge the test will not be performed. That is Quest policy, she stated. Either pay or leave without the test being done: the system would not allow her to proceed. OUTRAGEOUS!

I need to talk to a real person and not a recording! I cannot make an appointment for my employee that does not speak English because the recording does not understand his last name. There is no option to speak to a real person. So Sad!

I thought two routine tests would be covered by insurance, but they slapped me with a $500 surprise bill. Quests billing practices are nothing short of predatory and unethical. They charged me an astronomical amount for lab results without any transparency about the costs upfront. Had I known my insurance wouldnt cover these outrageous charges, I would have never agreed to proceed. Their pricing is exploitative, preying on individuals in vulnerable medical situations. To add insult to injury, they have no problem charging individuals sky-high fees while accepting drastically lower rates from insurance companies.Dealing with them has been one of the worst customer experiences of my life. They lack transparency, fairness, and basic decency. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, steer clear of this company. I will be warning everyone I know to avoid them at all costs.

I would give a zero if I could not the fault of this specific location more so the corporation. I tried to call and schedule an appointment but that wasnt possible with the automated system as the robot could not understand my last name I provided it three times and on the last attempt it said to try and give examples for the letters such as C as in ******** halfway through that process the robot cut me off and told me I can restart the process or hang up if Im done giving me no confirmation that an appointment was scheduled. so I decided to go in person i sign in for the drug test at 2:30 and I wait for an hour since Im a walk in. no one including the check in *****, since there is no one at the front desk, told me that the only person who can do drug test had already left at 1:30. the only reason I found out was because I asked someone who had locked the doors there since I guess they were closing. she recommended I go online I tried to schedule online but it wasnt possible as any time I picked was listed as unavailable even though they were the only times not greyed out on the selection screen. finally I got fed up and called and picked the option for doctors because I assumed Id be able to talk to someone even if it wasnt the right person. well it turns out that is the customer ********************** line but I guess they hide that fact to ensure everyone goes through the automated system. the service person said I had to print out the email as they would not accept the info unless it was physically printed which seems nonsensical to me. so Im going to print it but I guess theres no gaurentee that my appointment will go through smoothly.TLDR: to summarize they have attempted to get rid of actual people doing customer ********************** and automate everything in an attempt to save more at the expense of the customers because their automated systems are terrible. this corporate greed is disgusting and I suggest you go with ******* instead if you have the opportunity

I had an appointment at Quest Diagnostics Nov. 1, 2024. I had to wait one hour and 15 minutes past my appointment time. Then the technician tells me my copy is $977.51 for this routine test that used to cost me zero dollar. I couldn't convince the tech that he must of made a mistake entering the codes. So after all that delay I had to leave without getting my blood test done. I checked with my doctor office. They verified that the order is for a routine blood test.

I got several labs done for my annual, which are covered by my insurance. I received a bill of over 400 dollars stating that my insurance had denied the claim.. when I called my insurance for more information they stated that the code they send was a bundle one and that they dont recognize it. They told me they need to get the claim with each single code instead of a bundle one. I called Quest and requested to get the claim re submitted with each single code, but they said it couldnt been done since their system doesnt allow that.. they then send it on paper but my insurance never received.. I been calling over and over to have this issue resolve and they would not do nothing.

I went to Quest Diagnotistics at ********************************************, on 10/21/2024 to drop off stool samples for testing. Upon arrival i was taken back by a phlebotomist *******, she proceeded to tell me they could not take my samples or run the tests because QUEST states I owe $206.97. I advised her that I had already contacted billing, the bill was submitted incorrectly and per my insurance they needed to resubmit bill correctly. I also explained to her that my insurance sent a letter to me, and to Quest, that I was not responsible for any payments and that all concerns should be directly to TRICARE PRIME. ******* stated I needed to step outside (with my samples that are supposed to be kept frozen and refrigerated) to call Quest and fix the issue. VERY UPSET, I went out into the hall and called, I spoke with a billing supervisor who asked to speak with ******* directly. The supervisor told phlebotomist that billing was being resubmitted to insurance and that she should not be denying patient. ******* told billing supervisor that she could not override computer and would have to speak with HER supervisor, at which point the billing supervisor stated she was going to report facility for refusing services and because they didnt have a supervisor on duty. She said a supervisor is supposed to be on site at all times. The phlebotomist said I could wait to see if supervisor returned call, which I did because i didnt want to have to are the samples all over again! My appointment was a 3:10pm, but facility waited until completely closed to finally call me back and take the samples. Worst place I have ever been for blood/stool/etcI will NEVER use Quest again and I will make sure EVERYONE knows how awful their customer ********************** is for $200.00!!!

The customer ********************** just isn't there. They have attitude with the customer. I experienced discrimination for my gender and race with them. They tried to get me to leave my belongs in an unsafe unsecured area, and got rude with me for asking for a more secure option. They made me lock my phone, wallet, and keys in a box meant only for biowaste; blood and urine, and gave me the excuse that they could not open the safe meant for the client items. After leaving a urine sample with them they just flushed it, and told me that I would have to reschedule with them.
