I have started this process in Dec 2021 to have solar panels installed on my home. they were installed January 2022 and two week after they were installed I was told I would need to start payments even though they are non-operational. It is now August 4, 2022 and they are still not operational, I have been called many times and reschedule but all im getting is the the run around. Momentum keeps saying JEA is the reason for the delays but every time they come out here they say the equipment is faulty. This is extremely unprofessional business practice and at this point I am considering Legal action.Business Response

Solar system was installed incorrectly on 5/20/2022. Components were installed in the wrong positions. One of the components isnt even working and another separate compent is not working. I have been attempting to get these errors fixed for a month and half. Cant get past customer service reps that refuse to transfer me to someone who can schedule the repairs. They did come out once but didnt repair the system. The response I get is the reps open a file and I will get a call. If I did get calls I wouldnt be writing this. Please helpBusiness Response

To the person who unfortunately deals with solar complaints at the BBB: We made the mistake of indulging a salesman from this company to come to our home to get some info about & a quote for solar panels. We had no plans for any installation of solar panels from any company at this time, but wanted to get an idea of the payments and process and potential savings for a later date, when our lives are less hectic. However, the company has continued to call & essentially harass us from multiple numbers (after doing what we believed was a financial check) regarding getting the panels and having a project manager and assessor come to our home when NO appointment was ever scheduled for an assessment and we had told the initial salesman in person and later called several times to cancel all 'services' they had initiated. I'm the homeowner, and had never spoken to them. My husband had spoken with them regarding the quote. So the house is in MY name and I have not approved any assessments or project manager arrival/calls and we have told them to leave us alone, end all calls and any process they may have initiated and they do not communicate with each other within the company or seem to feel entitled to slapping some panels up on our roof since one of their people was here trying to pitch the sale, wasting 2 hours of his and my husband's time because he assumed we were going to buy. They furtively push everything to the next step without making it clear to their potential customers, or the people who actually own the home and haven't spoken with them (ie, me). I just want the multiple calls a day to stop. We checked with the town because I then got nervous they pulled a permit without my permission (they haven't as of this writing). I've signed nothing & want them to leave us alone. I don't want an assessment, I don't want solar panels; I want them to stop calling us forever. Im in contract for solar energy from Momentum Solar. They have installed the equipment on my home however it has been 5 months and I still can not use the solar panels. I have had to start paying my contract at ****** per month (yes they have given me 2 months of payments) but I still can not use the solar equipment. I call every week only to be given the same response. We are waiting on the utility company. I have offered to 3 way the call and was told no. I have asked to speak with management about my concerns and have been told every time there is no one they can put me in touch with. I have 58K of equipment on my roof and have had to start repayment not to get to use it. Upon our first sales meeting with Momentum Solar's sales person, *********************************, my wife and I were told that if there was any problem with our roof, either related or unrelated to Momentum solar, that they would remove the panels in order for repairs to be made and replace them, one time with no charge. This was a big selling point to us and the deciding factor to do business Momentum Solar. She produced a contract that we signed and was told that Momentum Solar would be the ones that we pay for the solar that it produced. Fast forward about 5 or 6 years and we now may have a potential problem with our roof. A Momentum Solar representative told us that if we still had a coupon that the sales person gave us, they would honor it. ******* never gave us a coupon. A coupon was not mentioned at the point of sale or any other time during the sale/install process. It was a statement that ******* made saying Momentum would remove and replace the panels once for free. The representative that I recently called stated that they could send us a coupon but they may not honor it. She said she would get back to me. I am now being told that they no longer offer the service of removing and replacing panels as promised by the sales person. One representative that I Spoke to on 07/26/2022 said there is no coupon and there never was. Additionally, they said that because my contract is now with Sunnova and that Momentum was "only the installer" that I can take it up with Sunnova. ******* will not and never said they would remove and replace the panels should roof work be needed. So Momentum solar basically lied to us in order for us to sign the contract. This is shady business practice at the the least. I have contacted a lawyer as we were cheated and fooled into something we cannot afford.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Momentum Solar's sales person stated that they include removal and replacement of the panels one time for free in the event that we need roof repairs or replacement. I don't care who they sold my panels to or what they have changed since this promise. It is why I went with Momentum Solar. Two different people acknowledged this recently when I inquired. The said I needed the "coupon" that was presented to me at the time the contract was signed. At no time did anybody present us with a coupon, nor did they explain that this service could be revoked at any moment including if they decide to sell the panels to another company. One representative recently said she would send me a coupon, but they may not accept it. Another person said there was never any coupon, they said that it was a promotion at the time. All news to me as we were lied too. We made our decision to do business with Momentum because of this offer. Because of there refusal to make good on what their salesperson promised, the cost of a roof repair will now be approximately $5,000 higher while the value of our home will go down. I also find it shady that they would give the BBB an answer when they told me they haven't made a decision yet. Last week they told me that they are going to escalate this. I have not heard back yet. But here they are telling the BBB their stance??

We reached out to the customer last week about this issue and the fact that another entity owns the solar system, so we cannot do anything without that companys authorization. After having my panels installed, Im not receiving any savings on my utility ****. Ive also been notified that the panels have an expired permit that hasnt been closed, making them illegal to have on *******. After contacting them several times, all I get is someone asking me to send them the bills and theyll email it to the right person. This has been an ongoing issue for the good part of a year. I dont think they put enough panels on ******* to supply my ******* home in summer with 100% sun exposure.Business Response

Originally I was told they would put up additional panels that would cost me money out of pocket, I find that ludicrous to over charge me more for under delivery of service.
